Be it known that I, ELY ENsIeN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dallas, Texas, have invented a new and Improved Cushioned Holder for 'Dating- Stamps, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a block or pad for holding a dating-stamp in place; and the object is to provide a convenient block or pad which will hold a dating-stamp securely in place and which may be placed on any convenient table, counter, or desk within easy reach, and which can be manufactured at small cost.
Other objects and advantages will be fully explained in. the following descri tion, and the invention will be more particul a ed out in the claim.
Reference is had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this application and specification.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of the cushion with a dating-stamp placed thereon. Fig. 2 is a perspective View of the holder.
My improved holder consists of a block A, which may be made of wood or other suitable material, supported on pads or legs B of sounddeadening material.
rlypoint- The block has a cavity 0 formed therein for the base-pieces of the dating-stamp. The front part of the front base-piece may be flush with the front edge of-the block. The block has two projec- I tions D, which prevent the stamp from sliding motion in the holder. The bottom of the cavity is covered with a sheet E of soft material, such as felt or similar material. This block will always hold the dating stamp against displacement. The space F may be used for an advertising-card.
Having fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Let ters Patent, is I A cushioned holder comprising a block having a cavity formed therein for the basepieces of a dating-stamp and having projections in said cavity to prevent sliding motion of said stamp, sound-deadening legs supporting said block, and a covering of soft material placed on the bottom of said cavity.
