Specification of Letters Patent.
` Patented april 2s, 190e.
Application filed August 4, l1906. Serial No. 329,212.-
. n y i To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OTTO NEUBERGER, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, and resident of Frankfort-on-.the-Main', Germany, have invented a certain new and u'seful Improvement in Pads, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to (pads and lthe provement consists in a pa comprising' two breadths of fabric carrying'lbetween them a filling and said pad is divided by means of parallel seams into a number'of small sachets or the pur ose of being able to separate the parts read y from one another and to use each part separately.
The pad may be 'reduced by stufiing one large cushion ory pad) corresponding in size Vto the, number of small sachets,'the stuffing material of which is referably perfumed. The
The hollow seam presents the advantage lthat the eut edges remain clean and donot l form frin es.-v The-,cost o f production is considerably essened in this way as the diculty of sewing small sachets in the machine is thus avoided. The idealer also benefits by being able tol stock1 the pads in large pieces of which he can give a greater or sma ler number of parts to hispustomers according to requirements.
' The invention is shown'in the accompanyin j'drawings -in which: y
igure 1 is a plan view'and Fig. 2 a section on linexX-X ofl Fig. 1. `In these drawings b illildividpal padlsl and vl escribed my invention what I" claim an desire to secure by Letterslatent of the United Statesi'sz- A cushion comprising twobreadths of fab-l ric carrying between them a filling and connected together by hollow seams thatcross one another, so as to produce separate small cushions that can easily be separated from each other, the point of se aration being sewed so that it will notrave out..
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
