5 of Tennessee, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Receptacles and Supports following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing.

My improvement relates particularly to a lavatory, or similar receptacle or device, in- .tended to be secured to an upright wall, and a frame or plate for securing or anging said lavatory to such wall.

Referring to said drawings, 1 is the hanger frame. This is formed of metal, and has at its upper portion one or more sockets, 2, each opening u ward to receive a lug, 5, extending downwar from the upper portion of the 30 back-plate, 6, of the'lavator 7. The main portion of said frame lies in t e same plane so that that much of said frame may rest closely against the wall, W. At its lower portion said frame has one or more cars, 3, in a plane arallel to the above-mentioned plane and orward of the latter a short distance, as is clearly shown in Figs. 2, 3, and 4, so that said ear or ears will stand clear of the wall, W, when the frame, 1, is in position. An aper ture, 4, extends through each such ear from front to rear or perpendicular to said planes. Said apertures are preferably elongated up and down, as a pears in Fi s. 1, 3, and 4, in order that a olt exten ing horizontally through said opening may be adjusted up and down. In 'front of each such ear, 3, an ear, 8, extends downward from the lavatory, andhas an aperture, 9, o posite the aperture, 4. A bolt, 10, extends orizontally through the apertures, 9 and 4.

The function of the bolt, 10, is to draw the lower portion of said back-plate, and also the main portion of the lavatory, backward toward the wall. In the form illustrated by the drawings, the lavatory back-plate has along its top and side margins a rearwarddirected flange, 6 which flange extends into a plane parallel to the above-mentioned planes, so that said flange is adapted to bear against the wall, IV. 1f the ear, 8, is set a little forward of the ear, 3, so that there must be a space between said ears when the flange, 6, bears against the wall, \(V, the ti htening of said bolt, 10, will serve to draw t e lower portion of said back-plate forcibly rearward and bind said flange, 6, closely against the face of said wall. If the flange, 6, of said backlate is omitted or does not extend rearward ar enough to bear a ainst the wall, W, the bolt, 10, may, obvious y, be drawn sufflciently to bind the ears, 8 and 4, to each other and thus impart stability to the lower portion of the back-plate and the body of the avatory. v

I claim as my invention:

1. In a'structure of the nature described, a hanger frame adapted to be secured against a wall and havin a socket, a lavatory having a flanged bac late anda lug to engage in said socket and having an upright ear. 1n front of and spaced away from said frame, and a horizontal member engaging said frame and said ear for forcibly drawing the latter toward the former.

2. Ina structure of the nature described, a hanger frame adapted to be secured against a wall and having a socket, a lavatory having a flanged back late and a lug to engage in said socket an front of and spaced away from said frame, and a horizontal bolt en aging said frame and said ear for forcibly drawing the latter toward the'former.

'3.
