'lhe nature of my inventioconsists in combining with a shelf-stand a peculiar supporting-arm, the arm audshelf being so made that the shelf may be readily detached or turnedup out of the way.
To enable` others skillediu the art 'to make and use my invention, I will proceed to describe its construction and u'se Figure 1 isa perspective view of my shelf and sppport.`
Figure- 2 is a section of a part of the same. Figures-E3 and 4 represent shelves made to sex-,ve as toasters' andfgridirons.
Figure 5 represents theshelf H, detached.v
Construction.
B represents a clamp, provided with set-screws O and D, by which kthe rod 1A is supported.
The supporting-arm E moves np and down on the rod A, as shown. V Its outer end lis rabbetedatLEQA/as shown at hg. 2,
and is also provided with an ope ling, 0, figs. 1 and 2, through which the shelf-shank! lF passes. -This shank FFis made i'n the shape represented,
softhat it may pass through the vertical opening O,
and yet allow the shelf-H to assume a horizontal position. Y i
Vlrlhis form of the shank'F'F also serves to prevent it from slippingout, and also allows the sheli'to be turned up, as represented by the dottedy lines in fig. 2. The form andconstruction of .the shelves may be varied indefinitely, to suit the various Wants of the user.
` If desirable, fly-pans, and even kcttles, may be pro- 'vided with the shank F F, and thus be made att-acl able to the supporting-arm E.
What I claim as my invention, and desireto secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
