Abstract

Des composés cycliques ont la formule I R1-(A1-Z1)n-A2-R2 dans laquelle R1 représente alkyl ayant entre 1 et 12 atomes de C, où un ou plusieurs groupes CH2 non-adjacents peuvent être substitués avec -O-, -CO-, -O-CO- et/ou -CO-O-, A1 et A2 représentent indépendamment l'un de l'autre trans-1,4-cyclohexylène, où un ou deux groupes CH2 non-adjacents peuvent être substitués avec O et/ou S, ou 1,4-phénylène non-substitué ou substitué avec halogène, CN et/ou CH3, où un ou plusieurs groupes CH peuvent être substitués avec N, Z1 représente -CO-O-, -O-CO-, -CH2CH2- ou une liaison simple, n est égal à 1,2 ou 3 et R2 représente -CO-CH2-COO-alkyl, -O-CO-O-alkyl ou au cas où A2 = trans-1,4-cyclohexylène, il peut représenter aussi -CO-CH2-CO-alkyl. Alkyl représente un groupe alkyl à chaîne droite ou à chaîne simple ramifiée ayant entre 1 et 10 atomes de C, à condition que si R2 = -O-CO-O-alkyl, R1-(A1-Z1)n-A2- représente (a), (b) ou (c). Ces composés sont utiles comme composants de phases de cristaux liquides.
