Abstract

L'appareil de transfert à cylindre décrit est une construction simplifiée et possède un écartement de transfert étendu ayant une faible pression pour effectuer un transfert efficace d'images de particule de marquage depuis un support diélectrique (22) avec réduction sensible des défauts de transfert d'image. Par exemple, le mécanisme de support comprend une paire de cylindres espacés (24, 26) décalés respectivement par rapport au cylindre de transfert (12) dans une direction amont et aval pour former une zone de pincement avec une dimension d'au moins 0,01 m mesurée dans la direction de rotation du cylindre et une pression de pincement dans cette zone inférieure à 2 x 104 Pa.
