Abstract

Une liaison de communication à fibre optique (20) pour un véhicule mobile à distance (22) utilise un seul toron d'une fibre optique (26) pour acheminer des données de commande à partir d'une station de commande fixe (24) vers le véhicule et renvoyer simultanément vers la station de commande des données relatives à l'environnement produites par des transducteurs montés sur le véhicule. Au niveau de la station de commande, les signaux optiques reçus sont convertis en une forme électrique et sont démodulés pour récupérer les données relatives à l'environnement. De plus, des signaux optiques codés et modulés correspondant aux données de commande sont fournis au second combineur/diviseur (56) pour être transmis via la fibre vers le premier combineur/diviseur (36). Au niveau du véhicule, les signaux optiques reçus sont convertis en une forme électrique, décodés et démodulés pour récupérer les données de commande, puis ils sont utilisés pour commander le véhicule et les transducteurs. Un multiplexage de fréquence est utilisé dans différentes directions le long de la fibre unique de manière à éliminer le bruit dû aux réflexions le long du chemin optique.
