Abstract

Un appareil (34) permet d'indiquer l'ampleur du mouvement d'un fil d'impression (38) d'un dispositif d'impression lorsqu'il est actionné par l'excitation d'une bobine associée (50). L'appareil comprend des moyens destinés à générer un premier signal fonction du courant d'excitation fourni à la bobine (50), des moyens de différenciation permettant de dériver un signal de dérivation à partir dudit premier signal, et des seconds moyens destinés à générer un signal analogique fonction de l'amplitude d'une portion du signal de dérivation correspondant à une perturbation du courant d'excitation de la bobine, qui se produit par suite de la mise en contact du fil d'impression (38) avec une platine associée (40). L e signal analogique est représentatif de la distance parcourue par le fil d'impression (38). La présente invention peut être utilisée pour calculer l'écartement entre un fil d'impression et une platine dans des situations où cet écartement est inaccessible pour être mesuré par une jauge d'épaisseur.
