Abstract

Wärme und Arbeit werden frei ineinander umgewandelt, indem die Temperatur eines Körpers durch Wärmezufuhr und Wärmeabfuhr mittels dem erfindungsgemässen Temperaturaustauschverfahren periodisch zwischen einer oberen To und einer unteren Temperatur Tu geändert wird, wobei dem Körper eine gegenüber seiner isobaren Volumenänderung phasenverschobene Volumenänderung aufgezwungen wird. Im Verfahren zum näherungsweisen Austauschen der Temperaturen zweier Wärmeträger durch Wärmeübertragung werden zwei Wärmeträger über eine Strecke in gegenseitigen Wärmekontakt gebracht, indem sie in ihrer allgemeinen Bewegung gegeneinander verschoben werden, wobei der Wärmewiderstand innerhalb der Wärmeträger in ihrer allgemeinen Bewegungsrichtung möglichst hoch gehalten wird, währenddem in Normalrichtung zur allgemeinen Bewegungsrichtung der Wärmewiderstand möglichst klein gehalten wird.
