Definitions
- the invention relates to improvements made to bag filters for dusting gas, used for filtering the air discharged to the outside, so as not to pollute the environment, and the cleaning of premises.
- industrial and / or commercial in order to improve the working conditions of the personnel as well as the productivity and the performances of machines generating dust, but sensitive to their presence in the surrounding air, to thus provide a quality environment to the personnel and to machines.
- Bag filters known for this purpose generally comprise a dust gas inlet hood, generally air, a filter proper, a dust gas hood, a cleaning device and a device evacuation of filtered dust.
- the dusty gas inlet cover the location and shape of which can be adapted to all configurations, can be of parallelepipedal shape, and placed above the filter itself if the latter has horizontal filtration sleeves.
- the filter proper comprises an enclosure, arranged in a sealed box, containing a battery of tubular filtering sleeves, for example of substantially cylindrical or oval section, with filtering wall, extending parallel to one another and arranged either vertically or horizontally, between a hole plate and, according to a particular embodiment of the state of the art, support plates and / or rods and corrugated rods adjacent to the bottom of the box, on the side opposite to the hole plate.
- the dusty air enters the box from the inlet cover, then is sucked inside the sleeves made of a flexible filter medium, breathable (usually a felt needled), on which dust larger than 0.5 ⁇ m, or even 0.1 ⁇ m, is deposited.
- the dust stopped on the external lateral surface of the sleeves is then expelled from the sleeves by an unclogging operation, by blowing gas against the current in the sleeves.
- the dust-free gas hood connecting to a gas recirculation line, is generally of parallelepipedal shape and attached to the filter box, opposite the hole plate, to collect the clean gas leaving the filtering sleeves through their openings end retained each with sealing, for example by an end bourre ⁇ let, in a respective hole of the plate with holes.
- the dust-free gas hood is provided with access doors to the hole plate, for mainte ⁇ nance and maintenance operations on the filter bags.
- each sleeve is supported, between the plate with holes and the support and positioning means adjacent to the bottom of the box, by a frame consisting of a screened mannequin, for example made of welded longitudinal and transverse metal wires.
- mesh supports have a special shape, with an elongated cross section and oriented vertically, and may have a roof with two inclined sides extending downwards by wavy side walls.
- each sleeve is a single tubular section, the rear end of which, on the side opposite its opening retained in a hole in the plate with holes, can be closed by a sewn bottom.
- the sewing thread must therefore be chosen according to the chemical aggressiveness of the gas to be dusted, which chemical aggressiveness can vary from one installation to another.
- the installation of a sewn bottom is a delicate job, requiring an expensive manual or mechanical intervention.
- the sewn bottom is also an area at risk of leakage, because the holes for the sewing threads are larger than the dust to be stopped, so that all the sewing holes must be filled with a special product, if we want to guarantee a certain quality of the dusted gas.
- the pierced sleeve swells and fills with dusty gas.
- a pierced and inflated sleeve cannot be removed without also disassembling several adjacent sleeves, which leads to plugging the pierced sleeve at its opening in the plate to holes, with a sealing pad, pending a planned stop to replace the pierced sleeves.
- the replacement of a sleeve of the above type is a delicate operation, because it is necessary, if necessary, to intervene at the level of the sealing and retaining bead on the plate with holes, and especially to guide with precision the replacement sleeve, in its installation, so that its bottom and the corresponding end of the screened mannequin is placed appropriately, for example in the corresponding ondu ⁇ lation of the corrugated rod of the support and positioning means close to the bottom of the box.
- An object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks of known filter bags, and to provide bags of simple structure, of economical construction, easy to put on and remove, and usable while guaranteeing the integrity of the filtering media, without the need to bring back a sewn bottom.
- the invention provides a bag filter for filtering dusty gas, in which several bags extend in an enclosure between a plate with holes in the enclosure and support and positioning means close to the bottom of the the enclosure, and are arranged substantially transversely to a stream of gas puous- seat penetrating into the enclosure, each tubular sleeve comprising a flexible filtration wall, permeable to gas but retaining dust transported by the gas which penetrates into the sleeve and flows dusted therein up to an end opening of the wall which opens into a hole in the hole plate, and the filter according to the invention is characterized in that at least one sleeve consists of a U-shaped tube and is mounted in the enclosure so that it has two tubular sections of filtration, substantially parallel and connected to each other by a base arranged towards the bottom of the enclosure.
- each U-shaped sleeve is advantageously cut to the desired length in a continuous tube, without a bead, then folded into a U to the desired shape. Cut to length and U-bending can be done both in the factory and on site.
- the U-shaped tube structure thus given to the filtering sleeve is less expensive than the known embodiments, and without a sewn bottom, causing many drawbacks.
- the tube, in which the sleeve is cut can be of any cross section, and preferably substantially oval, like the sleeves currently used, or at least of circular cross section.
- the end openings of the two tubular filtration sections of each U-shaped sleeve open side by side in the same hole of the hole plate. It advantageously follows that the plate with holes must be provided with holes of a cross section greater than that of the holes of the known plates, and for example have a width of 130 mm, instead of 50 mm, for an unchanged height of 150 to 250 mm. This results in better accessibility to the establishment as well as to the withdrawal of the sleeves.
- each U-shaped sleeve is mounted in the enclosure so that its base is sufficiently tightened to form a relatively gas-tight seal between the two tubular filtration sections.
- each U-shaped sleeve can be supported between the hole plate and the support and positioning means of the bottom of the enclosure by a frame consisting of two perforated mannequins each introduced into one of the two tubular sections respectively.
- filtration, each dummy can be of the known type, that is to say mesh and made for example of welded metal son.
- the support and positioning means with corrugated rods are not suitable for receiving the bases or rear parts of U-shaped sleeves, of the type proposed by the invention.
- Another object of the invention is therefore to remedy this drawback of known bag filters, and to propose means for supporting and positioning the rear part of U-shaped filter bags, with two tubular filter sections connected by a base arranged towards the bottom of the filter box.
- the support and positioning means comprise at least one support bar, on the side of the bottom of the bag filter enclosure, and a support device, positioning and sealing the base of the U-shaped sleeve, this device comprising:
- a nozzle having a bottom and a peripheral skirt, which fits elastically by its skirt around the rear end of the mannequin by being inserted between the latter and the filtration section, and whose bottom constitutes a gas-tight closure bottom of the rear end of said filtration section,
- each branch of the U-shaped pin having, on the side opposite to the filtering sleeve, hooking means on at least one support bar and positioning secured to the bottom of the bag filter.
- the seal is ensured. towards the back of the sleeve, without the need to sew a bottom.
- the external U-shaped pin allows, by its hooking means, to support and position the rear part of the sleeve on at least one support bar, which can be straight and provided with regularly spaced stops, to ensure the positioning towards the bottom of the filter box.
- the device advantageously further comprises an internal wedge, elastically deformable, fitting elastically into the U-shaped pin between the rear ends of the two filtration sections engaged in the U-shaped pin, so as to resiliently pinch said rear ends between, on the outside, the U-shaped pin and the wedge, and, inside, the ends fitted into said rear ends.
- the device advantageously further comprises a sliding pad, fixed under the base of the U-shaped pin.
- this skate rests and can slide on the lower sleeve when setting up or removing a sleeve, which is particularly advantageous for removal, since a deteriorated sleeve is relatively heavy, since it is dirty inside.
- the parts such as each end piece, the U-shaped pin and the central wedge, can be fixed by elastic interlocking to hold in place, these parts are preferably made of pressed sheet metal, in particular of thin sheet metal.
- each branch of the U-shaped pin advantageously extends, on the side opposite to the filtering sleeve, by a bent wing projecting towards the other branch of the U-shaped pin, and shaped as a hook. hooking on the support and positioning bar, so as to stiffen the pin and that the support and positioning are always ensured by metal to metal contacts, without causing pinching of the wall of the sleeve.
- each end piece has a central stiffening deformation, improving the elastic fitting of the end piece on the mannequin,
- each endpiece is hooked onto the corresponding openwork mannequin by at least one tab which is housed in a lumen of the mannequin, each hooking leg being produced by a puncture in the skirt of the endpiece and folded during assembly,
- the internal wedge is a hollow profile substantially in the shape of a 0 open according to its generatrix, in its part facing the base of the U-shaped pin,
- the elastically deformable wedge engages in the U-shaped pin until it comes to bear on the base of this pin, - the edge of the branches of the U-shaped pin and of the elastic wedge which is turned on the side opposite to the means for attaching the pin has a rib projecting towards the skirt of the end pieces, slightly in front of the free edge of this skirt.
- FIG. 1 schematically represents, partly in plan and partly in horizontal section, a U-shaped filter sleeve placed in a filter box,
- FIG. 2 partially shows in front elevation the hole plate of the filter box of FIG. 1 and in one of the holes from which the two tubular filtration sections of a U-shaped sleeve appear side by side,
- FIG. 3 is a schematic view partly in section and partly in side elevation of a nozzle mounted at the rear part of a filtration section of a sleeve,
- FIG. 4 is a sectional view along IV-IV of FIG. 3, showing the end piece mounted on the rear end of the mannequin,
- FIG. 5 is a sectional view along V-V of FIG. 3,
- FIG. 6 is a schematic view partly in side elevation and partly in section, showing the rear part of a U-shaped sleeve, retained and positioned by the device of the invention
- FIG. 7 is a cross section along VII- VII of Figure 6
- - Figure 8 is a section along VIII-VIII of Figure 6.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 there is shown schematically, without taking account of the scale or the proportions, a vertical plate with holes 22, which is pierced with a large number of holes regularly distributed in vertical and horizontal rows, such as hole 23, substantially shaped rectangular with trapezoidal upper part, with a width of about 130 mm and a height of 150 to 400 mm.
- the vertical bottom 17, which is parallel to the plate 22 and opposite to the latter in the parallelepiped enclosure formed as a filter box.
- Each sleeve 1 is a tubular element, of substantially oval cross section, in a flexible filtering medium capable of dusting air or any other gas, and which has simply been cut to the desired length in a roll of great length of a continuous tube without bead or, possibly, sewing of this filtering medium.
- the cut length is directly usable, and has better mechanical and chemical resistance than the filter bags of the prior art, due to the absence of a risk or weakened zone.
- the tubular element is cut to the length necessary to adapt without any difficulty to any dimension available between the hole plate 22 and the bottom 17 of the filter box.
- a usable sleeve 1 which has two tubular sections of filtration la and lb, substantially parallel and of same length, and connected to each other by a base le.
- the free ends ld of the two filtration sections la and lb are engaged in the same hole 23, and each rolled up on itself in order to be retained in leaktight manner on a cover (not shown) of mechanical connection to the plate 22 and closing the hole 23 around the ends ld.
- the end openings lf of the two filtration sections 1a and 1b of the same sleeve 1 open out substantially side by side in the same hole 23 in the plate 22.
- the gas for example air
- the gas circulates according to the arrows in FIG. 1: penetrating in the dusty state into the box, between the plate 22 and the bottom 17, it crosses the flexible filtering wall of the sleeve 1 by depositing the dust transported on the external face of this sleeve 1, then it flows dusted in the axial direction in the two sections 1a and 1b and exits through the openings lf in a clean gas collecting hood (not shown). If the wall is pierced, the sleeve 1 swells and fills with dusty gas.
- the base 1c of the U-shaped sleeve 1 is tightened on itself, by any suitable mechanical means not shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, but an example of which is described below with reference to FIGS. 3 to 8, and which can simultaneously contribute to the support and positioning of the U-shaped sleeve 1 by its base le on the bottom 17.
- the tightened base then forms a gas-tight seal sufficiently between the two tubular filtration sections la and lb , to prevent the inflation of a section la or lb by dusty air, following its piercing, does not communicate with the other section lb or la.
- the U-shaped sleeve 1 is supported between the plate 22 and the bottom 17 by an openwork frame, also used for positioning and removal by passing through the hole 23.
- This frame can simply consist of two mesh mannequins, of structure and of known shape, which are each fitted into one respectively of the tubular sections 1a and 1b, the two mannequins being able to be moved jointly by a cane or central rod, rigidly but removably fixed to each manne ⁇ quin, for the placement and removal.
- the U-shaped sleeve 1 thus produced is very economical and very simple to use.
- FIGS. 3 to 5 we find in 1 a horizontal dust filtering gas sleeve at the level of the filtering wall of the rear end part of a tubular filtration section.
- This sleeve can be a single filtration section, although in this example it is a U-shaped sleeve with two sections.
- the filtering wall of each section of the sleeve 1, of substantially oval cross-section that is very flat and oriented vertically, is fitted onto a screened mannequin 2.
- This mannequin 2 is made up of parallel longitudinal metal wires 3 which are welded to transverse frames 4, regularly spaced, and each consisting of two corrugated metal wires 4a and 4b, bearing against one another by the internal tops of the corrugations, and the upper parts of which are inclined in the shape of a roof.
- a nozzle 5, comprising a bottom 6 connected by a rounding over its entire periphery to a skirt 7, substantially perpendicular to the general plane of the bottom 6, is fitted elastically by its skirt 7 around the rear end of the screened mannequin 2.
- the bottom 6 has a shape which envelops the frame 4 of the rear end of the mannequin 2, that is to say a rectangular shape of great length and small width, extended by an isosceles triangle at its upper end.
- a stiffening rib 8 is formed from top to bottom in the central part of the bottom 6, projecting from the side of the skirt 7, with a decreasing depth from the center of the deformation towards its ends.
- the tip 5 is made by stamping in a stainless steel sheet 0.8 mm thick for example.
- the end piece 5 is fitted elastically onto the mannequin 2 by insertion of its skirt 7 between the sleeve section 1 and the mannequin 2, until the rib 8 comes into abutment against the frame 4 of the rear end of the mannequin 2
- This rib 8 has the effect of improving the elastic fitting of the end piece 5 on the mannequin 2.
- the end piece 5 is held in place by lugs 9, folded during assembly and produced by punctures 10 made in the skirt 7.
- the end piece 5 is thus hung on the mannequin 2 by the legs 9 folded behind the wires 4a and 4b of the rear end frame 4 of the mannequin 2, relative to the bottom 6.
- the legs 9 can be produced so as to be fitted elastically onto the mannequin 2.
- the support, positioning and sealing device adapted to the rear part of the filter sleeve is shown.
- U the two tubular filtration sections of which have their walls fitted, for each section, onto one of two mannequins respectively, on which two end pieces 5 are mounted, as described above with reference to FIGS. 3 to 5.
- FIG. 8 it can be seen that the wall of a filtration section 1a of the U-shaped sleeve is connected to the wall of the other filtration section 1b by a base 1c, which is tightened on itself.
- Two end pieces 5a and 5b identical to the end piece 5 of FIGS. 3 to 5, are respectively fitted resiliently, as described above, on the rear end of the mannequins (2a and 2b) housed in the sections 1a and 1b.
- the device also comprises an external pin 11, in the form of U, with a base 12 and two parallel and elastically deformable branches 13.
- This U-shaped pin 11 is resiliently fitted by its branches 13 and its base 12 around the skirts 7a and 7b and the rounded edges for connection to the bottoms 6a and 6b of the end pieces 5a and 5b, as well as around the corresponding parts of the sections la and lb .
- the walls of the rear ends of the two filtration sections 1a and 1b are thus pinched between the external pin 11 and the corresponding end piece 5a or 5b.
- each branch 13 is extended, beyond the base 12 and towards the base of the U-shaped sleeve, by a wing 14 bent towards the other branch 13 and of which the upper edge is arranged as a hook 15 for hooking and positioning the device on a rectilinear bar 16 for support and positioning linked to the filter box, near the bottom 17 of this box.
- the device also includes an internal wedge 18, elastically deformable, which fits elastically in the U-shaped pin 11, between the rear ends of the two filtration sections 1a and 1b engaged in the pin in U 11, so that these walls of sections 1a and 1b are pinched, with good gas tightness, between the corresponding end piece 5a or 5b, fitted inside, and, towards the outside, the shim 18 and the two branches 13 of the U-shaped pin 11.
- an internal wedge 18, elastically deformable which fits elastically in the U-shaped pin 11, between the rear ends of the two filtration sections 1a and 1b engaged in the pin in U 11, so that these walls of sections 1a and 1b are pinched, with good gas tightness, between the corresponding end piece 5a or 5b, fitted inside, and, towards the outside, the shim 18 and the two branches 13 of the U-shaped pin 11.
- the shim 18 is produced by stamping a steel sheet, in order to benefit from good elastic deformation properties, for its nesting.
- This wedge 18 is constituted by a rectangular strip, the width of which corresponds to the width of the base 12 of the pin 11, and which is folded back on itself, so as to form a very 0-shaped profile. elongated, rounded at its upper end, with two flat and parallel lateral faces, the lower part of which, formed by bringing the two ends of the strip together, is folded flat, but open in its center along its generatrix, to be applied against the base 12 of the pin 11, as shown in FIG. 7.
- the edge of the branches 13 of the pin 11, on the side opposite to the wings 14, has a deformation projecting inwardly forming a rib 19, and the opposite edge on both sides of the internal wedge 18 has a similar deformation in projecting outwards also forming a rib 20, so that these ribs 19 and 20 protrude towards the skirts 7a and 7b of the end pieces 5a and 5b, slightly in front of the free edge of these skirts, to ensure better retention of the walls of sections la and lb.
- the ribs 19 and 20 stiffen the edges of the pin 11 and the shim 18, and avoid tearing the sleeve 1.
- a sliding pad 21 for example made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PFTE), is fixed under the base 12 of the pin 11.
- This pad 21 raised towards the rear, and, optionally, laterally around the base of the branches 13 , slides on the upper ends of the two tubular filtration sections of a lower U-shaped sleeve, in order to facilitate the guiding and the displacement of the sleeve, when it is placed in position or removed.
- This shoe 21 also provides the assurance that the hooks 15 of the pin 11 of the device will be hung on the bar 16 located at the correct horizontal level.
- the central wedge 18 is, of course, not useful, and the U-shaped pin 11 must be fitted accordingly, by bringing together its branches 13 and wings 14, so that its branches 13 ensure the elastic clamping of the filter wall of the sleeve against the two opposite sides of the skirt 7 of the corresponding end piece 5.
