Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Borosilicatglas mit der linearen Wärmedehnung zwischen 20 °C und 300 °C von 3,9 bis 4,5*10-6 K-1 zur Herstellung von Laborglas, Hauswirtschaftsglas, pharmazeutischem Behälterglas, Lampenglas, Flachglas und andere technische Spezialgläser, das vollelektrisch unter cold-top-Bedingungen geschmolzen und konditioniert werden kann. Dies erfordert für die Fixierung der Glaszusammensetzung neben der Erreichung gewünschter Glaseigenschaften eine Berücksichtigung der Spezifik des vollelektrischen Schmelzverfahrens und hat deshalb eine eingeschränkte Variationsbreite mehrerer Glasoxide, den Ausschluß der Nutzung einiger Rohstoffe, die Wahl geeigneter Läutermittel usw. zur Folge. Das Glas hat die Zusammensetzung: SiO¿2? + ZrO2 77,0 bis 81,0 Gew.-%, B2O3 + Na2O + K2O + CaO + MgO + BaO 16,0 bis 18,5 Gew.-%, davon Na2O + K2O + CaO + MgO + BaO 5,4 bis 7,0 Gew.-%, davon CaO + MgO + BaO bis 0,9 Gew.-%, Al2O3 3,7 bis 4,9 Gew.-%, Cl?-¿ 0,05 bis 0,4 Gew.-%, CeO 0,0 bis 1,0 Gew.-%, mit folgenden Relationen: Verhältnis CaO + MgO + BaO / ZrO¿2? 0,0 bis 1,5, Verhältnis Na2O + K2O + CaO + MgO + BaO / B2O3 + SiO2 + Al2O3 + ZrO2 0,060 bis 0,075. Als Läutermittel wird nur NaC1 oder KC1 verwendet. Zwischen diesem Glas und Borosilicatglas 3.3 ist ein Wechsel reversibel, beliebig oft wiederholbar und in kurzer Zeit möglich.
