Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Sensor zur Messung einer gewebeäquivalenten Strahlendosis. Der Sensor weist einen strahlungsempfindlichen Lichtwellenleiter (4), Mittel (1, 3) zur Ein- und Auskopplung von Licht in den bzw. aus dem strahlungsempfindlichen Lichtwellenleiter (4) sowie mit Verspiegelungen (2) an beiden Enden des strahlungsempfindlichen Lichtwellenleiters (4) auf. In den strahlungsempfindlichen Lichtwellenleiter (4) eingespeistes Licht wird mehrmals hin- und herreflektiert und so der Lichtweg im Vergleich zu konventionellen Sensoren verlängert. Der verlängerte Lichtweg führt zu einer verbesserten Empfindlichkeit, ohne Nachteile bezüglich Ortsauflösung in Kauf nehmen zu müssen.
