従来、 複数の家電機器等の遠隔操作を 1台で行うリモコン装置としては、 機器 メーカ指定方式のプリセッ トリモコン装置や赤外線コマンドを学習するリモコン 装置等が知られている。 し力、し、 従来のリモコン装置においては、 複数の機器は制御できるものの、 機 器別の操作ボタンをそのままリモコン装置の操作面に配置しただけのものが多く、 操作可能な機器が増えるほど操作面上のボタン数が増加し、 各ボタンの占有面積 が少なくなるため、 ボタンの識別がしにく く、 操作性が悪化する。 特に、 高齢者 や視覚障害者にとっては、 このようなリモコン装置は、 誤操作による空調温度の 調節ミスゃテレビの音量の調節ミス等の発生原因となりかねない。 しかも、 タイマ一等のように同様の機能を有しているにもかかわらず、 機器間 で別のボタンで操作しなければならないことがあり、 このようなことも操作性を 悪化させる原因となっている。 また、 大きさやコス トの関係上、 全ての操作をタク トスイッチ等の操作ボタン の押下によるリモコン装置もある。 このようなリモコン装置においては、 ォペレ 一夕の操作の実感が乏しくならざるを得ず、 応答性の悪さが誤操作を引き起こす という事態も発生している。 さらに、 特開平 8— 8 8 8 8 3号公報に示されているようなリモコン装置が提 案されている。 機器毎に 1つのボタンで複数の機能を選択できるパッ ト状ボタン を操作面上に設けて見かけ上の操作ボタンを減らすものである。 しかしながら、 ボタン数を減らすことはできたが、 1つのボタンが複数の機能を実現するために 操作方法がわかりにく くなつたり、 操作ボタン上に表示された絵柄に基づいて、 操作対象の機器のボタンを操作の度に探さなければならな 、操作性上の課題は未 解決のままである。 また、 複数の機器を操作対象とするリモコン装置は、 機器単体を対象とするリ モコン装置に比べて、 一般的に使用頻度が増大するために、 電池での動作が一般 的であるリモコン装置にとっては、 電池使用可能時間が短くなつてしまい頻繁に 電池を交換しなければならないという課題も発生している。 一般的に、 照明器具の点灯時には、 赤外帯域の光を大量に発光するために、 リ モコン装置から、 照明器具を制御するためには、 上記点灯時に発生する雑音に負 けない光量の赤外光を出力する必要がある。 これに比較して、 テレビ、 エアコン 等の機器は、 照明器具と比較して小さな光量で安定な通信が可能である。 通常、 複数の機器を操作対象とするリモコン装置は、 どの機器に対しても安定確実な制 御を実現するために、 照明器具の操作に必要な赤外線出力をするように設計され ることが多い。 その結果、 前述のように、 操作頻度と発光量が増大することによ り、 消費電力が増え、 さらにリモコン装置の電池寿命を短く してしまうという事 態を引き起こしている。 上記の電池寿命が短くなることの対応として、 少ない光量で、 できるだけ遠方 の機器を操作するために、 赤外線の配光範囲を絞った赤外線発光素子を使用する ことが一般的に知られている。 しかし、 配光を絞ることにより、 リモコン操作時 には、 かなり正確に操作対象機器にリモコン装置を向ける必要があり、 オペレー 夕にストレスを感じさせることが多く発生している。 また、 ボタン操作により、 リモコン装置が手振れを発生し、 微妙に光軸中心が ずれ、 この結果通信できなくなってしまうという問題も発生している。 特に、 高 齢者の場合には、 加齢による腕、 指の力の衰えにより、 大きな手振れを発生して しまいこれらの現象が顕著に現れて来る。 また、 トイレ、 浴室等において使用される場面を想定した場合、 手が汚れてい る、 手が濡れているなどの理由により、 手を使ったリモコン操作をしたくない場 合や手を使ったリモコン操作をできない場合があり、 スィツチを直接触ることな く、 オペレータの意思どうりの操作を実現したいという欲求が強い。 この発明は、 前述した課題、 問題点、 要望等を解決するためになされたもので、 ボタンやスィッチの数をできるだけ少なく し、 複数の機器間で操作を統一するこ とで、 操作性の高いリモコン装置を得ることを目的とする。 また、 この発明は、 操作手順の数を減らすことにより誤操作を防ぎ、 操作性の 高いリモコン装置を得ることを目的とする。 また、 この発明は、 操作の実感をより多く与えることにより誤操作を防ぎ、 操 作性の高いリモコン装置を得ることを目的とする。 また、 この発明は、 機器毎に最適な赤外線光量で制御することにより、 安定確 実な通 ί言を行うとともに電池寿命を損なわないリモコン装置を得ることを目的と する。 また、 この発明は、 人や操作対象機器に最適な赤外線配光制御を行うことによ り、 操作時に発生する手振れ等に対しても安定に動作するリモコン装置を得るこ とを目的とする。 さらに、 この発明は、 動作検出センサを搭載し、 特定動作を検出することによ り、 事情により手が使えない場合においても、 非接触で機器の制御ができるリモ コン装置を得ることを目的とする。 発明の開示
この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 複数の機能項目が並べられた機能項目選択画 面を表示する表示手段と、 前記機能項目選択画面中の機能項目を選択するための 機能項目選択手段と、 前記選択された機能項目を決定するための決定指示入力手 段と、 前記選択された機能項目を取り消すための取消指示入力手段と、 前記決定 指示入力手段によって特定の機能項目が決定指示されると、 複数の別の機能項目 が並べられた別の機能項目選択画面を表示手段に表示させ、 前記決定指示がされ た特定の機能項目の指示コードを出力する制御手段と、 前記出力された指示コー ドを無線信号に変換して遠隔操作対象機器へ発信する通信手段とを備えたもので ある。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記制御手段が、 制御処理部と、 記憶 部とを有し、 前記制御処理部は、 最初に、 複数の機能項目として複数の遠隔操作 対象機器が並べられた機能項目選択画面を前記記憶部から読み出して初期画面と して前記表示手段に表示させ、 前記機能項目選択手段によって特定の遠隔操作対 象機器が選択されると、 前記特定の遠隔操作対象機器を他の遠隔操作対象機器と 区別できるように前記表示手段に特殊表示させ、 前記決定指示入力手段によって 前記特定の遠隔操作対象機器が決定指示されると、 複数の別の機能項目として前 記決定指示された遠隔操作対象機器の複数の設定機能が並べられた別の機能項目 選択画面を前記記憶部から読み出して前記表示手段に表示させ、 送信指示がある ときは前記決定指示された遠隔操作対象機器の指示コードを前記通信手段へ出力 し、 前記機能項目選択手段によって特定の設定機能が選択されると、 前記特定の 設定機能を他の設定機能と区別できるように前記表示手段に特殊表示させ、 前記 決定指示入力手段によって前記特定の設定機能が決定指示されると、 設定値入力 が必要なときには前記決定指示された設定機能の設定値入力画面を前記記憶部か ら読み出して前記表示手段に表示させ、 送信指示があるときは前記決定指示され た設定機能の指示コードを前記通信手段へ出力し、 前記通信手段は、 前記指示コ 一ドを赤外線信号に変換して前記決定指示された遠隔操作対象機器へ発信するも のである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記機能項目選択手段が、 前記表示手 段のカーソルを上方向に移動するための第 1の機能項目選択スィツチと、 前記表 示手段の力一ソルを下方向に移動するための第 2の機能項目選択スィッチとを有 するものである。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記制御手段が、 前記第 1の機能項 目選択スィッチの連続操作時間を計測するとともに、 前記第 2の機能項目選択ス ィツチの連続操作時間を計測する計時手段と、 前記計時手段によって計測された 連続操作時間が所定時間に達すると、 前記表示手段の画面をスクロールするよう に、 所定回数の操作と同等の信号を発生する連続操作判断部とを有するものであ る。 またさらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記制御手段が、 さらに、 前記 連続操作判断部から連続操作の受け人れ可否の問い合わせがあると、 機能項目毎 に連続操作受け入れの可否が記述してある連続操作受入可否データベースを参照 して受入可信号、 あるいは受入否信号を返信する連続操作受入可否判断手段を有 し、 前記連続操作判断部は、 前記連続操作受入可否判断手段から受入否信号を受 け取ると、 前記計時手段によって計測された連続操作時間が所定時間に達しても 所定回数の操作と同等の信号を発生しないものである。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記制御手段が、 前記決定指示入力 手段によつて機能項目が決定指示される毎に、 機能項目毎に選択頻度が記述して ある選択頻度管理テーブルの選択頻度を更新するとともに、 機能項目選択画面の ための機能項目表示リス卜の機能項目表示順序を前記選択頻度管理テーブルの選 択頻度順に並び替える項目表示順序管理手段を有するものである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 さらに、 遠隔操作対象機器に向けられ た装置本体の方向に基づいて遠隔操作対象機器を識別する対象機器識別手段を備 え、 前記制御手段は、 前記対象機器識別手段によって識別された遠隔操作対象機 器の複数の設定機能が並べられた機能項目選択画面を初期画面として前記表示手 段に表示させるものである。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記対象機器識別手段を、 遠隔操作 対象機器に向けられたときの装置本体の仰角に基づいて遠隔操作対象機器を識別 する角度センサとしたものである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記制御手段が、 前記通信手段によつ て受信された機器識別コードに基づいて遠隔操作対象機器を識別し、 前記識別さ れた遠隔操作対象機器の複数の設定機能が並べられた機能項目選択画面を初期画 面として前記表示手段に表示させるものである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 さらに、 振動を発生する振動発生手段 を備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記表示手段の画面を更新表示する度に前記振動発生 手段に振動を発生させるものである。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記振動発生手段を、 装置筐体を叩 いて振動を発生する触覚応答装置としたものである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 さらに、 音声を出力する発音手段を備 え、 前記制御手段は、 前記表示手段の画面を更新表示する度に前記発音手段に音 声を出力させるものである。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記発音手段が、 前記表示手段に表 示された機能項目選択画面中の機能項目が選択されると、 前記選択された機能項 目を読み上げるものである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 さらに、 機能項目の数に応じたモード を選択するための特性選択手段を備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記特性選択手段によつ て前記モードの 1つが選択されると、 前記選択されたモードに対応する数の機能 項目が並べられた機能項目選択画面を前記表示手段に表示させるものである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 さらに、 所定の関係がある複数の遠隔 操作対象機器を同時に操作できる操作モー ドを選択するためのパターン操作モー ド選択手段を備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記バタ一ン操作モー ド選択手段によって 前記操作モードが選択されると、 所定の関係がある複数の遠隔操作対象機器を同 時に操作する機能項目が並べられた機能項目選択画面を前記表示手段に表示させ るものである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記通信手段が、 複数の赤外線発光素 子を有し、 前記制御手段は、 予め遠隔操作対象機器毎に発光強度が記述された発 光強度管理デ一タを参照し、 選択された遠隔操作対象機器に対応して前記通信手 段から送信される赤外線信号の発光強度を制御する発光素子制御手段を有するも のである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記通信手段が、 配光特性の異なる複 数の赤外線発光素子を有し、 前記制御手段は、 予め遠隔操作対象機器毎に配光特 性が記述された配光管理データベースを参照し、 選択された遠隔操作対象機器に 対応して前記通信手段から送信される赤外線信号の配光を制御する発光素子制御 手段を有するものである。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記通信手段が、 配光特性の異なる 複数の赤外線発光素子を有し、 前記制御手段は、 予め遠隔操作対象機器毎に配光 特性が記述された配光管理データベースを参照し、 選択された遠隔操作対象機器 と前記特性選択手段によって選択されたモードとに対応して前記通信手段から送 信される赤外線信号の配光を制御する発光素子制御手段を有するものである。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 前記制御手段が、 さらに、 前回の選 択された遠隔操作対象機器とその操作機能を記憶する操作履歴記憶手段を有し、 前記発光素子制御手段は、 今回の選択された遠隔操作対象機器とその操作機能が、 前記操作履歴記憶手段によって記憶された前回の選択された遠隔操作対象機器と その操作機能と同じである場合には、 前記通信手段から送信される赤外線信号の 発光強度を前記発光強度管理データの該当発光強度よりも増加するように制御す るとともに、 前記発光強度管理データの該当発光強度を書き換えるものである。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 さらに、 特定の動作を検出する動作検 出センサを備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記動作検出センサによって前記特定動作を 検出すると、 前記通信手段によつて前記特定動作に対応する遠隔操作対象機器の 特定操作の指示コードを赤外線信号に変換して発信するものである。 図面の簡単な説明

発明を実施するための最良の形態
以下、 この発明の各実施例について図面に基づき説明する。 実施例 1 . この発明の実施例 1に係るリモコン装置について図 1から図 3までと図 3 6を 参照しながら説明する。 図 1は、 この発明の実施例 1に係るリモコン装置の構成 を示すブロック図である。 また、 図 2は、 この発明の実施例 1に係るリモコン装 置の外観を示す図である。 なお、 各図中、 同一符号は同一又は相当部分を示す。 図 1及び図 2において、 1 0 0はこの実施例 1に係るリモコン装置、 1は表示 手段となる表示器であり、 例えば L C D (Liquid Crystal Device) 等で構成さ れている。 2は表示選択手段となるボインティングデバイスの機能項目選択スィッ チであり、 例えばロータリーエンコーダ等で構成され、 オペレータが表示器 1上 に表示される機能項目を選択するためのものである。 また、 同図において、 3は決定指示入力手段となる肯定ボタンであり、 4は取 消指示入力手段となる否定ボタンであり、 これらは例えばプッシュスィツチ等で 構成されている。 肯定ボタン 3と否定ボタン 4は、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2で選 択された項目を実行するか取り消すかの指示を人力するためのものである。 また、 同図において、 5は制御手段となる制御部である。 制御部 5はさらに制 御処理部 _5 1及び記憶部 5 2で構成される。 制御処理部 5 1は、 記憶部 5 2にあ らかじめ記憶された画面を表示器 1に表示させる。 また、 制御処理部 5 1は、 そ の表示に基づいて機能項目選択スィツチ 2、 肯定ボタン 3又は否定ボタン 4から オペレータの指示が指示データとして入力されると、 その指示データの内容を表 示させたり、 その指示データに基づいて、 記憶部 5 2に記憶されている別の画面 を表示させたりする。 さらに、 制御処理部 5 1は、 指示データが確定すると、 そ の指示データに基づいて通信部 6に各機器に対応する指示コードを送信する。 さらに、 同図において、 6は通信手段となる通信部であり、 制御部 5から送信 された指示コ一ドを赤外線コードに変換した赤外線信号を発信する。 つぎに、 この実施例 1に係るリモコン装置 100の動作について図面を参照し ながら説明する。 図 3は、 この発明の実施例 1に係るリモコン装置の表示例を示 すブロック図である。 また、 図 36は、 この実施例 1に係るリモコン装置の制御 処理部の動作を示すフローチヤ一トである。 制御処理部 51は、 記憶部 52に記憶されている図 3 (a) のデ一夕 (表示画 面) を読み出し、 表示器 1に表示させる (ステップ S 100〜S 101) 。 オペ レ一夕が機能項目選択スィツチ 2を回転させると、 制御処理部 51はその回転移 動量に基づいて表示器 1上に表示された機能項目の内の 1つを反転や網掛け等に より他の機能項目と区別して表示させる (ステップ S 102〜S 103) 。 オペ レ一タは、 目的の機能項目が反転等すると、 肯定ボタン 3を押下する。 図 3 (a) は、 「照明」 、 「空調」 及び 「TV」 の機能項目の初期画面の中から 「空調」 が 選択された時のものである。 肯定ボタン 3が押下されたものと制御処理部 51が判断すると、 記憶部 52に 記憶されている図 3 (b) のデータ (表示画面) を読み出し、 表示器 1に表示さ せる (ステップ S 104〜S 108) 。 ここで、 制御処理部 51は、 空調の選択 が失敗だった場合等、 オペレータが否定ボタン 4を押下したものと判断すると、 記憶部 5—2に記憶されている図 3 (a) のデータを再度読み出し、 表示器 1に表 示させる (ステップ S 109〜S 111) 。 ここでは、 空調の選択が正しいもの、 つまり目的のものであったとする。 図 3 (b) の画面が表示器 1に表示されると、 オペレータは、 再度、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2を回転させ、 「ONZOFF」 、
「温度」 及び 「タイマー」 の機能項目の画面の中から一つを選択し、 肯定ボタン 3を押下する (ステップ S 102〜S 104) 。 図 3 (b) は、 「温度」 の項目 が選択された時のものである。 温度の項目で肯定ボタン 3が押下されたものと制御処理部 51が判断すると、 記憶部 52に記憶されている図 3 (c) のデータ (表示画面) を読み出し、 表示 器 1に表示させる (ステップ S 104〜S 108) 。 ここで、 制御処理部 51は、 温度の選択が失敗だった場合等、 オペレータが否定ボタン 4を押下したものと判 断すると、 記憶部 52に記憶されている図 3 (b) のデータを再度読み出し、 表 示器 1に表示させる (ステップ S 109-S 111) 。 ここでは、 温度の選択が 正しいもの、 つまり目的のものであったとする。 図 3 (c) の画面が表示器 1に 表示されると、 オペレータは、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2を回転させる。 制御処理 部 51は、 その回転方向及び回転移動量に対応して、 表示器 1に数字を上下させ て表示させる。 設定したい温度の数字が表示されると、 オペレータは肯定ボタン 3を押下する。 図 3 (c) は、 設定温度として 「22°C」 が選択された時のもの である。 なお、 各操作段階で肯定ボタン 3が押下されると、 内部情報 (例えば、 各操作段階毎に送信指示の有無が記述してある。 ) に基づき送信指示があると該 当の赤外線信号が送信される (ステップ S 105〜S 106) 。 図 3 (b) 及び図 3 (c) の画面において、 一定時間何も操作が行われなかつ た場合、 制御処理部 51は、 図 3 (a) の画面を表示器 1に表示させて、 自動的 に図 3 (a) の初期画面に戻るようにしておく (ステップ S 112〜S 100〜 S 101) 。 以上のように、 この実施例 1に係るリモコン装置 100においては、 機能項目 選択スィ チ 2の回転で機能項目を選択し、 選択した機能項目を実行する場合は 肯定ボタン 3を押下し、 取り消す場合は否定ボタン 4を押下するようにして、 こ れらを全て制御処理部 51で判断させ、 画面及び指示内容を表示器 1に表示させ るようにしたものである。 そして、 このリモコン装置 100で制御可能な全ての 遠隔操作対象機器において統一の操作としたので、 操作ボタンの数が少なく、 ボ タン検索及び操作手順が簡単であり、 高い操作性を得ることができる。 実施例 2. この発明の実施例 2に係るリモコン装置について図 4を参照しながら説明する, 図 4は、 この発明の実施例 2に係るリモコン装置の外観を示す図である。 図 4において、 1 0 0 Aはこの実施例 2に係るリモコン装置、 1は表示手段と なる表示器である。 2 A及び 2 Bは表示選択手段となる機能項目選択スィツチで あり、 1対のプッシュスィッチ等で構成され、 オペレータが表示器 1上に表示さ れる機能項目を機能選択スィツチ 2 Aにより上に、 機能選択スィツチ 2 Bにより 下に移動させることにより選択するためのものである。 3は決定指示人力手段と なる肯定ボタンである。 また、 4は取消指示入力手段となる否定ボタンである。 肯定ボタン 3と否定ボタン 4は、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2 A及び 2 Bで選択され た項目を実行するか取り消すかの指示を入力するためのものである。 他の図示し ていない構成、 表示画面等は、 上記の実施例 1に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0のもの と同一である。 つぎに、 この実施例 2に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Aの動作について説明する。 制御処理部 5 1は、 記憶部 5 2に記憶されている図 3 ( a ) のデータ (表示画 面) を読み出し、 表示器 1に表示する。 オペレータが機能項目選択スィッチ 2 A 又は 2 Bを押下すると、 制御処理部 5 1は、 その操作毎に表示器 1上に表示され た機能項目の内の 1つを反転や網掛け等により他の機能項目と区別して表示させ る。 機能項目選択スィッチ 2 Aは、 前記機能項目を上に、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2 Bは、 前記機能項目を下に移動するものである。 すなわち、 図 3 ( a ) の表示画面で、 現在、 「空調」 が機能項目選択スィッチ 2 A又は 2 Bで選択されている場合、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2 Aを押下すると
「照明」 の機能項目が選択され、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2 Bを押下すると 「T V」 の機能項目が選択される。 オペレータは、 上記機能項目選択スィッチ 2 A及び 2 Bの押下により、 目的の機能項目を反転等すると、 肯定ボタン 3を押下する。 図 3 ( a ) は、 「照明」 、 「空調」 及び 「T V」 の機能項目の初期画面の中から
「空調」 が選択された時のものである。 肯定ボタン 3が押下されたものと制御処理部 5 1が判断した後の操作に関して は、 上記の実施例 1と同じなので、 ここでは割愛する。 また、 図 3 ( b ) 及び図 3 ( c ) の画面において、 一定時間何も操作が行われ なかった場合、 自動的に図 3 ( a ) の初期画面に戻るようにしておくことは、 上 記の実施例 1と同じである。 以上のように、 この実施例 2に係るリモコン装置 1 0 O Aにおいては、 機能項 目選択スィッチ 2 A、 2 Bの押下で機能項目を選択し、 選択した機能項目を実行 する場合は肯定ボタン 3を押下し、 取り消す場合は否定ボタン 4を押下するよう にして、 これらを全て制御処理部 5 1で判断させ、 画面及び指示内容を表示器 1 に表示させるようにしたものである。 そして、 このリモコン装置 1 0 0 Aで制御 可能な全ての遠隔操作対象機器において統一の操作としたので、 操作ボタンの数 が少 -く、 ボタン検索及び操作手順が簡単であり、 高い操作性を得ることができ る。 また、 上記の実施例 1においては、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2の回転方向と機能 項目の選択の移動方向が直感的でないため、 操作初期の不慣れな段階で、 機能項 目選択スィツチ 2の回転方向を誤る可能性があつたが、 この実施例 2においては、 上ボタンと下ボタンという直感的な操作で行うことができるので、 項目選択時に 迷いなく操作することができるようになる。 実施例 3 . この発明の実施例 3に係るリモコン装置について図 5及び図 6と、 図 3 7から 図 3 9までを参照しながら説明する。 図 5は、 この発明の実施例 3に係るリモコ ン装置の構成を示すプロック図である。 図 5において、 1 0 0 Bはこの実施例 3に係るリモコン装置、 5 3は機能項目 選択スィッチ 2 A及び 2 Bの連続押下時間を計測する計時手段である。 また、 5 4は連続操作判断部であり、 前記計時手段 5 3の計測した時間と、 予め設定され た時間を比較して、 一致する度に、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2 A又は 2 Bが連続押 下されたものと判断し、 前記計時手段 5 3の計時時間をリセッ 卜するとともに制 御処理部 5 1に機能項目選択スィツチ 2 A及び 2 Bの押下時と同等の操作信号を 制御処理部 5 1に出力する。 他の図示していない構成、 表示画面等は、 上記の実 施例 2に係るリモコン装置 1 0 O Aのものと同一である。 つぎに、 この実施例 3に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Bの動作につてい説明する。 図 6は、 テレビのチヤンネル選択時の表示画面例と選択項目の全体を示した図で ある。 また、 図 3 7は、 この実施例 3に係るリモコン装置の制御処理部の動作を 示すフローチャートである。 図 3 8は、 この実施例 3に係るリモコン装置の計時 手段の動作を示すフローチャー トである。 図 3 9は、 この実施例 3に係るリモコ ン装置の連続操作判断部の動作を示すフローチヤ一トである。 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Bは、 図 6 ( d ) に示す機能項目候補の全体が表示器 1の 画面の中に収まりきらない場合は、 表示器 1上に表示された機能項目の一番下が 選択された状態でさらに、 下の機能項目が、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2 Bの押下に より選択されたときには、 図 6 ( a ) 〜 (c ) と機能項目候補を 1つずつ順に繰 り上げて表示器 1上に表示する。 テレビの番組選択等の画面のように多くの選択項目の中から、 機能項目を選択 する場合には、 機能項目選択スィ ッチ 2 A、 2 Bを機能項目の数だけ押下する必 要があり、 オペレータにとって、 操作上の負担が大きい。 すなわち、 この実施例 3に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Bにおいて、 現在、 ΓΝ Η Κ総合チャンネル」 が設 定されているとき、 これを 「 V OWW OWチャンネル」 に変更するには、 少なく とも 1 3回機能項目選択スィツチ 2 Bを押下しなければならない。 この実施例 3に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Bを使用することにより、 例えば機能 項目選択スィツチ 2 Bを押下し続けることにより、 計時手段 53により連続押下 時間が計時され (ステップ S 320〜S 322) 、 この計時値が連続操作判断部 54で判断され、 一定の時間を経過したと見なされる場合には、 制御処理部 51 に機能項目選択スィツチ 2 Bが複数回数押下されたと同じ信号を出力する (ステツ プ S 330〜S 334) 。 その後の動作に関しては、 前述の例と同じ (ステップ S 302〜S 312) なので割愛するが、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2 A又は 2 Bを 連続的に押下することにより、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2 A又は 2 Bを複数回押下 したと同じ機能を得ることができるので、 何度も機能項目選択スィツチ 2 A又は 2 Bを押下することなく、 迅速に機能項目を選択することが可能となる。 実施例 4. この発明の実施例 4に係るリモコン装置について図 7及び図 8と図 40を参照 しながら説明する。 図 7は、 この発明の実施例 4に係るリモコン装置の構成を示 すブロック図である。 図 7において、 100 Cはこの実施例 4に係るリモコン装置、 55は連続操作 受入可否判断手段を示す。 その他の部分に関しては、 前述の実施例と同等である。 図 8は、 リモコン装置 100 Cの機能の一例として連続操作受入可否判断手段 55で管理されている連続操作受入可否データベースの構成例を示す図である。 また、 図 40は、 この実施例 4に係るリモコン装置の連続操作受入可否判断手段 の動作を示すフローチヤ一トである。 前述した図 6に示すテレビの番組選択場面を例に、 VHF放送 ( ΓΝΗΚ総合」 、 ΓΝΗΚ教育」 、 「日本テレビ」 、 「TB S」 、 「フジテレビ」 、 「テレビ朝 日」 、 「テレビ東京」 ) 、 UHF放送 ( 「TVKテレビ」 、 「テレビ埼玉」 、 「千葉テレビ」 、 ΓΜΧテレビ」 ) 、 B S放送 ( ΓΝΗΚΒ S 1」 、 ΓΝΗΚΒ S 2」 、 「WOW\VOW」 ) の各放送グループ毎にスクロールによる操作を一時 中断し、 ユーザに注意を促したい場台等に用いた例を説明す:5。 機能項目選択スィツチ 2 A又は 2 Bを連続押下されると、 計時手段 5 3により 連続押下時間が計時される。 この計測された時間が連続操作判断部 5 4で判断さ れ、 一定の時間を経過したと見なされる場合には、 連続操作判断部 5 4は、 連続 操作受人可否判断手段 5 5に連続操作の受け入れの可否を問い合わせる。 連続操作受入可否判断手段 5 5は、 上記問い合わせを受けると図 8に示した連 続操作受入可否データベースを参照し、 次の機能項目の受け入れ可否状態を参照 し、 受け入れ 「可」 であれば、 連続操作判断部 5 4へ受け入れ可の信号を出力す る (ステップ S 4 0 0〜S 4 0 2 ) 。 連続操作判断部 5 4は、 上記受け人れ可の信号を受け取ると、 制御処理部 5 1 に、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2 A又は 2 Bの押下信号と同じ信号を出力する。 この 押下信号を受け取つた後の動作に関しては、 上記の実施例 3で説明したので省略 する。 連続操作受入可否判断手段 5 5は、 連続操作判断部 5 4からの問い合わせによ り、 図 8に示す連続操作受入可否データベースを参照し、 受け入れ 「否」 と判断 した場合、 例えば、 「テレビ東京」 → 「T V Kテレビ」 への移動の場合には、 連 続操作判断部 5 4に受け入れ 「否」 の信号を出力する (ステップ S 4 0 0〜S 4 0 1〜S 4 0 3 ) 。 次に、 連続操作判断部 5 4は、 上記受け入れ否の信号を受け取ったときには、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2 Bが連铳押下されているときでも、 制御処理部 5 1に対 して機能項目選択スィッチ 2 Bの押下信号を出力しないため、 連続押下は、 受け 入れられず画面は、 「テレビ東京」 が選択されたままになる。 オペレータは、 連続押下による機能項目のスクロール動作が止まるので、 V H F放送から U H F放送への移行を知ることができる。 U H F放送の 「T V Kテレ ビ」 にチャンネルを移動する際には、 再度、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2 Bを押下す ることにより、 制御処理部 5 1に押下信号が入力されるので、 U H F放送の 「T V Kテレビ」 を選択することができる。 このように、 連続操作判断部 5 4と連続 操作受入可否判断手段 5 5により、 連続押下により不用意に機能項目がスクロー ルされてしまうことを防止することができる。 本実施例 4では、 テレビのチャンネル選択の例を示したが、 例えば機能の内に ユーザに簡単に操作させたくない項目が或る場合にも、 本機能を利用することに よって、 誤操作による異常運転の少ないリモコン装置を得ることができる。 実施例 5 . この発明の実施例 5に係るリモコン装置について図 9から図 1 1までと、 図 4 1を参照しながら説明する。 図 9は、 この発明の実施例 5に係るリモコン装置の 構成を示すプロック図である。 図 9において、 1 0 0 Dはこの実施例 5に係るリモコン装置、 5 6は項目表示 順序管理手段であり、 記憶部 5 2に記憶された機能項目毎に、 肯定ボタン 3によ り何回選択されたかを管理し、 記憶部 5 2の機能項目リス 卜の順番を選択頻度順 に入れ換える。 その他の部分に関しては、 前述の実施例と同等である。 図 1 0は、 記憶部 5 2内の選択頻度管理テーブルの一例を示す。 図 1 0に示す の例では、 週単位の選択された頻度を管理している一例を示す。 また、 図 1 1は、 テレビ番組選択画面における表示例を示す。 さらに、 図 4 1は、 この実施例 5に 係るリモコン装置の項目表示順序管理手段の動作を示すフローチヤ一トである。 つぎに、 この実施例 5に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Dの動作を説明する。 機能項 目選択スィツチ 2 Α又は 2 Βにより、 目的の機能項目が選択され、 肯定ボタン 3 により選択されると、 項目表示順序管理手段 56は、 図 10に示す選択頻度管理 テーブルに一定期間 (本例では、 1週間) 内に選択された頻度 (回数) を更新す る (ステップ S 500〜S 502) 。 項目表示順序管理手段 56は、 上記更新と同時に、 上記選択頻度管理テーブル を参照し、 選択頻度順に記憶部 52が管理する機能項目表示リス卜の表示項目順 を書き換える (ステップ S 503) 。 制御処理部 51は、 選択頻度順に並べ替え られた機能項目を表示器 1に表示する。 その結果、 選択頻度順に機能項目が並ん だ使いやすい画面を得ることができる。 初期段階では、 図 11 (a) 及び (c) に示すように、 チャンネル番号順に番 組候補 (機能項目) が並んでいる。 例えば、 1週間の使用を経た後の記憶部 52 内の選択頻度管理テーブルの状態は、 図 10に示すようになつている。 この図 1 0は、 1週間の間に ΓΝΗΚ総合」 チャンネルを 10回、 「NHKB S 1」 チヤ ンネルを 7回、 「フジテレビ」 チャンネルを 6回、 . . · と選択された一例を示 す。 制御処理部 51からの表示要求により、 記憶部 52内の選択頻度管理テーブル により選択頻度順に並べ替えられた機能項目 (番組候補) が表示器 1に表示され、 図 11 (b) 及び (d) に示すような選択頻度順に機能項目が並んだ使いやすい 画面を得ることができる。 通常、 機能項目は予め設定された一定の順番で常に表示されているので、 希に しか選択しない番組も、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2 A又は 2 Bにより順次選択して 目的の番組を選択する必要があり、 オペレータに負担が大きかった。 この実施例 5による方法では、 選択頻度順に機能項目を並べることができるので、 使用時に 最小の操作により機能項目を効率的に選択する方法を提供することができる。 実施例 6. この発明の実施例 6に係るリモコン装置について図 1 2から図 1 4までと、 図
4 2を参照しながら説明する。 図 1 2は、 この発明の実施例 6に係るリモコン装 置の構成を示すプロック図である。 図 1 2において、 表示器 1と、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2と、 肯定ボタン 3と、 否定ボタン 4と、 通信部 6とは図 1に示したものと同様の機能を持つものであり、 上記実施例 1において説明したので省略する。 制御部 5 Aは、 実施例 1の処理機 能と記憶内容が多少異なる制御処理部 5 1 A及び記憶部 5 2 Aで構成されている。 また、 同図において、 1 0 0 Eはこの実施例 6に係るリモコン装置、 7は角度 センサであり、 オペレータがリモコン装置 1 0 0 Eを遠隔操作対象機器に向ける 仰角を検出して仰角検出データを出力する。 記憶部 5 2 Aは、 実施例 1の記憶部 5 2に記憶されているデータを保持すると ともに、 角度センサ 7から送信される仰角検出データと遠隔操作対象機器との関 係データを保持する。 制御処理部 5 1 Aは、 実施例 1の制御処理部 5 1の動作に 加え、 角度センサ 7からの仰角検出データに基づいて記憶部 5 2 Aから遠隔操作 対象機器を選択して処理をする。 本実施例 6においては、 角度センサ 7と制御部

リモコン装置 1 0 0 Eの遠隔操作対象機器は、 オペレータから目視できるもの が基本であり、 またそのリモコン装置 1 0 0 Eが使用されるような空間は、 ある 程度限られた体積であるので、 その空間に設置される機器もそれほど多数ではな い。 本実施例 6では、 機器選択を自動的に行う方法として、 オペレータが機器を リモコン操作しょうとした場合、 一般的に遠隔操作対象機器に対してリモコン装 置 1 0 0 Eを向けることが行われていることを利用している。 つまり、 遠隔操作対象機器に向けられるリモコン装置 1 0 0 Eの仰角に基づい て、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Eに遠隔操作対象機器を自動的に判断させ、 図 3 ( a ) のような機器選択の画面の表示及び機器選択の操作を省こうとするものである。 なお、 この実施例 6では、 遠隔操作対象機器を居間に設置される最も代表的な機 器であるテレビ 2 0 0、 ビデオ 3 0 0、 空調機器 4 0 0、 照明器具 5 0 0と想定 し、 機器識別手段として角度センサ 7を用いて操作対象を判断するリモコン装置
1 0 0 Eである。 図 1 4は、 角度センサ 7の構成図である。 この図において、 7 1は回転センサ であり、 また 7 2は振子である。 回転センサ 7 1は実際には回転せず、 リモコン 装置 1 0 0 Eに固定されている。 振子 7 2が鉛直方向を保つことにより、 回転セ ンサ 7 1が相対的に回転移動したことになり、 その回転移動量によりリモコン装 置 1 0 0 Eが向けられる仰角を検出することが可能となる。 回転センサ 7 1の回転移動量に基づいた仰角検出データが入力されると、 制御 処理部 5 1 Aは記憶部 5 2 Aを検索し、 その仰角検出データに対応する遠隔操作 対象機器を判断する (ステップ S 6 0 0 ) 。 制御処理部 5 1 Aは、 遠隔操作対象 機器を判断すると、 その対象機器における初期画面 (例えば、 図 3 ( b ) ) を記 憶部 5 2 Aから読み出して表示器 1に表示させる (ステップ S 6 0 1〜S 6 0 2 ) 。 制御処理部 5 1 Aは、 表示器 1に遠隔操作対象機器の初期設定画面を表示させ てオペレータに指示人力を促す。 この表示は否定ボタン 4が押下されるまでは、 その後、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Eが遠隔操作対象機器に向けられず、 仰角が変わつ ても変更されないものとする。 それ以降のリモコン操作手順及び動作は上記の実 施例 1で説明したものと同様であるので省略する。 以上のように、 この実施例 6に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Eによれば、 遠隔操作 対象機器に向けることにより回転センサ 7 1と振子 7 2との間の相対的な移動量 により検出された仰角検出データに基づいて、 制御処理部 5 1 Aは、 遠隔操作対 象機器を判断し、 その機器に応じた機能項目を初期画面として表示器 1に表示さ せるようにしたので、 オペレータが操作する手順が少なくなり、 操作性を向上す ることができる。 実施例 7 . この発明の実施例 7に係るリモコン装置について図 1 5及び図 1 6を参照しな がら説明する。 図 1 5は、 この発明の実施例 7に係るリモコン装置の角度センサ の構成を示す図である。 なお、 他の構成等は上記の実施例 6と同様である。 この実施例 7に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Fは、 角度センサとして、 遠隔操作対 象機器の台数に応じた個数の転倒センサ 7 Aを用いる。 図 1 5 ( a ) は、 転倒センサ 7 Aの倒立子 7 4が水平時は、 電極 7 3を短絡す ることにより〇N信号を出力する。 また、 同図 (b ) は、 転倒センサ 7 Aの倒立 子 7 4が一定の傾斜時には、 電極 7 3を開放することにより、 O F F信号を出力 するものである。 つまり、 転倒センサ 7 Aは水平時のみ O N信号を出力する。 図 1 6は、 複数の角度を検出するために、 転倒センサ 7 Aのリモコン装置 1 0 0 Fへの設置例を示す図である。 この図において、 7 A a、 7 A b及び 7 A cは、 3種類の仰角を検出するために、 別々の傾斜角度を持ってリモコン装置 1 0 0 F に設置された転倒センサである。 この図の例では、 転倒センサ 7 A aが T Vを、 転倒センサ 7 A bが空調機器を、 転倒センサ 7 A cが照明器具をそれぞれ検出す る例を示している。 つぎに、 この実施例 7に係るリモコン装置 100 Fの動作を説明する。 各遠隔 操作対象機器の配置関係は、 図 13に示した配置を前提として説明する。 各転倒センサ 7 A a〜 7 A cは、 図 16 (a) 〜 (c) に示すように、 リモコ ン装置 100 Fが各機器に向いた仰角の際に、 倒立子 74が正立するよう傾斜角 度が設置されている。 すなわち、 リモコン装置 100 Fを、 図 16 (d) に示すように TVに向けた 場合 (リモコン本体が水平時) には、 転倒センサ 7 A aのみが ONし、 他の転倒 センサ 7Ab、 7 A cは、 取り付け時の傾斜により 0 F Fの状態になる。 同様に、 リモコン装置 100 Fを、 図 16 (e) に示すように空調機器に向け た場合には、 転倒センサ 7 A bのみが ONし、 他の転倒センサ 7 A a、 7 A cは OFFとなる。 さらに、 リモコン装置 100 Fを、 図 16 ( f ) に示すように照 明器具に向けた場合には、 転倒センサ 7 A cのみが ONし、 他の転倒センサ 7 A a、 7 Abは OFFとなる。 すなわち、 N種の傾斜角度を検出する場合、 N種の 傾斜角度で設置された転倒センサを用いることにより、 N種の角度の検出が可能 となる。 転倒センサ 7 Aは、 前述の角度センサ 7に比べて構造が簡単であり小型化が可 能である。 また、 出力が単純な 0N、 0 F Fの信号で取り出せるためその信号の 処理系も単純なものとなり、 低コスト、 かつ小型なリモコン装置に最適な角度セ ンサを実現することができる。 実施例 8. この発明の実施例 8に係るリモコン装置について図 17を参照しながら説明す る。 図 17は、 この発明の実施例 8に係るリモコン装置の角度センサの構成を示 す図である。 なお、 他の構成等は上記の実施例 6と同様である。 この実施例 8に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Gは、 角度センサとして、 歪みセンセ 7 Bを用いる。 図 1 7において、 7 Bは材質の歪みを抵抗値の変化により検出する歪みセンサ、 7 5は歪みセンセ 7 Bの荷重支持部 (円柱部分) 、 7 6は歪みによる抵抗値の変 化を検出する検出回路である。 また、 同図において、 8は電池ボックス、 9はリモコン装置 1 0 0 G用の電池、 1 0 0 aは歪みセンサ 7 B及び電池 9が格納された電池ボックス 8が設置されて いるリモコン装置 1 0 0 Gの本体 (g体の底板部分) である。 つぎに、 この実施例 8に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Gの動作を説明する。 歪みセ ンサ: 7 Bは、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Gの本体 1 0 0 aに、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Gを 駆動する電池 9を格納する電池ボックス 8に接するように配置されている。 電池 ボックス 8は、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Gの仰角の変化により、 図の垂直方向にごく 微少に自由に動くように設置されている。 オペレータがリモコン装置 1 0 0 Gを操作したい機器に向けると、 リモコン装 置 1 0 0 Gの本体 1 0 0 aが傾斜し、 それに設置された電池 9及び電池ボックス 8が次第に傾斜するようになる。 前述のように、 電池ボックス 8は、 図の垂直方 向 (左右の横方向) に自由度を持つように設置されているため、 歪みセンサ 7 B の荷重支持部 (円柱部分) 7 5に、 電池 9の荷重がかかり、 歪みが検出される。 電池 9の傾斜角 (荷重) と歪みの関係は、 一意に決定することができるため、 歪 みセンサ 7 Bを角度センサとして利用することができる。 すなわち、 この実施例 8に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Gの角度センサは、 非常に 小型な歪みセンサ 7 Bと、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Gの動作に必須、 かつ荷重の大き い電池 9を角度検出用の重りとして利用することで、 非常に小型にすることがで きる。 また、 前述の実施例のように、 機械的な駆動部分がないため、 高信頼で長 寿命な角度センサを得ることができる。 実施例 9 . この発明の実施例 9に係るリモコン装置について図 1 8と図 4 3を参照しなが ら説明する。 図 1 8は、 この発明の実施例 9に係るリモコン装置と遠隔操作対象 機器の構成を示すブロック図である。 また、 図 4 3は、 この実施例 9に係るリモ コン装置の制御処理部の動作を示すフローチヤ一トである。 図 1 8において、 表示器 1と、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2と、 肯定ボタン 3と、 否定ボタン 4とは図 1に示したものと同様の機能を持つものであり、 上記の実施 例 1において説明したので省略する。 1 0 0 Hはこの実施例 9に係るリモコン装 置、 4 0 0は空調機器等の遠隔操作対象機器である。 また、 同図において、 6 Aはリモコン側の送信部であり、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Hの処理制御部 5 1 Bから送信される指示コードを赤外線信号に変換して発信す る。 4 0 1は機器側の受信部であり、 リモコン側の送信部 6 Aから発信された赤 外線信号を受信する。 また、 同図において、 4 0 4は機器側の受信部 4 0 1が受信した赤外線信号を 機器の制御信号に変換して出力する翻訳制御部である。 また、 4 0 3は機器識別 コ一ド発信部であり、 各機器毎に予め定められた機器識別コードを常時生成する c また、 同図において、 4 0 4は機器側の送信部であり、 機器識別コード発信部 4 0 3で生成された機器識別コ一ドを赤外線信号に変換して常時発信している。 さらに、 同図において、 6 Bはリモコン側の受信部であり、 機器側の送信部 4 0 4から送信された赤外線信号を機器識別コードに変換して制御処理部 5 1 Bに 出力する。 制御処理部 5 1 Bは、 上記の実施例 1で説明した制御処理部 5 1の動作に加え、 リモコン側の受信部 6 Bが受信した機器識別コードに基づいて記憶部 5 2 Bを検 索し、 その機器識別コードに対応する遠隔操作対象機器を選択して処理をする。 記憶部 5 2 Bは、 実施例 1の記憶部 5 2に保持されているデータに加え、 機器識 别コードと遠隔操作対象機器との関係データを保持する。 この実施例 9において は、 リモコン側の受信部 6 Bと制御部 5 Bが対象機器識別手段の役割を果たす。 次に、 この実施例 9に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Hの遠隔操作対象機器の自動識 別動作について説明する。 機器側の送信部 4 0 4は、 機器識別コード発信部 4 0 3が生成した機器識別コードを赤外線信号に変換し、 常時発信している。 機器側 の送受信部とリモコン側の送受信部は相互に指向性を有している。 オペレータが遠隔操作対象機器 (空調機器等) 4 0 0の送信部 4 0 4にリモコ ン装置 1 0 0 Hを向けると、 機器側の送信部 4 0 4とリモコン側の受信部 6 Bと が位置的に正対し、 機器側の送 ί言部 4 0 4から発信されている赤外線信号をリモ コン側の受信部 6 Βが受信する。 リモコン側の受信部 6 Βは、 受信した赤外線信号を機器識別コードに変換し、 制御処理部 5 1 Βに送信する (ステップ S 9 0 0 ) 。 制御処理部 5 1 Βでは、 受 信部 6 Βから送信された機器識別コードに基づいて記憶部 5 2 Βを検索し、 機器 識別コードに対応する遠隔操作対象機器を判断する (ステップ S 9 0 1 ) 。 制御処理部 5 1 Βは、 該当の遠隔操作対象機器を判断すると、 その対象機器に おける初期画面 (例えば、 図 3 ( b ) ) を記憶部 5 2 Bから読み出して表示器 1 に表示させる (ステップ S 9 0 2〜S 9 0 3 ) 。 制御処理部 5 1 Bは、 表示器 1 に遠隔操作対象機器の初期設定画面を表示させてオペレータに指示入力を促す。 この表示は否定ボタン 4が押下されるまでは、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Hと遠隔操作 対象機器 4 0 0がその後正対していなくても変更されない。 それ以降のリモコン 操作手順及び動作は上記の実施例 1で説明したものと同様であるので省略する。 以上のように、 この実施例 9に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Hによれば、 機器毎に 生成された機器識別コードを変換した赤外線信号を機器側の送信部 4 0 4から常 時発信しておき、 その赤外線信号を受信したリモコン側の受信部 6 Bが機器識別 コードに変換する。 次に、 制御処理部 5 1 Bがその機器識別コードに基づいて記 憶部 5 2 Bを検索し、 該当の遠隔操作対象機器 4 0 0を判断し、 その機器に応じ た機能項目を持つ初期画面を表示器 1に表示させるようにしたので、 遠隔操作対 象機器 4 0 0に向けるだけで操作手順が少なくなり、 操作性を向上することがで さる。 実施例 1 0 . この発明の実施例 1 0に係るリモコン装置について図 1 9及び図 2 0を参照し ながら説明する。 図 1 9は、 この発明の実施例 1 0に係るリモコン装置の構成を 示すブロック図である。
図 1 9において、 表示器 1と、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2と、 肯定ボタン 3と、 否定ボタン 4と、 通信部 6とは実施例 1で説明したものと同様の動作を行うため、 説明を省略する。 1 0 0 Jはこの実施例 1 0に係るリモコン装置、 1 0は振動発 生手段となる触覚応答装置、 1 1は発音手段となる発音器である。 図 2 0は、 この実施例 1 0に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Jの触覚応答装置 1 0を 示す図である。 この触覚応答装置 1 0は、 例えば、 ポケッ トベル等の着信振動に 使用されているような偏芯した分銅 1 1の回転軸をモータ 1 2で回転させること により、 振動を発生させるものである。 触覚応答装置 1 0は、 制御処理部 5 1 C から送信される振動データに基づいて振動を発生させる。 また、 発音器 1 1は、 制御処理部 5 1 Cから送信される発音データに基づいて発音する。 次に、 この実施例 1 0に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Jの動作について説明する。 表示画面は図 3 ( a ) を用いて説明する。 オペレータが機能項目選択スィッチ 2 を回転させると、 制御処理部 5 1 Cは、 その回転移動量に基づいて表示器 1上に 表示された機能項目の内の 1つを反転や網掛け等により他の機能項目と区別して 表示させる。 これにより、 オペレータに視覚的教示が行われる。 また、 制御処理部 5 1 Cは、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2の回転移動量が一定量毎 に触覚応答装置 1 0及び発音器 1 1にそれぞれ振動データ及び発音データを送信 し、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Jの操作教示を触覚的及び聴覚的に行う。 さらに、 肯定ボタン 3や否定ボタン 4がオペレータにより押下されると、 制御 処理部 5 1 Cは上記の機能項目選択時とは別の振動データ及び発音データを触覚 応答装置 1 0及び発音器 1 1に送信し、 振動及び発音させて、 オペレータにリモ コン装置 1 0 0 Jの操作教示を触覚的及び聴覚的に行う。 以上のように、 この実施例 1 0に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Jによれば、 機能項 目選択スィッチ 2による機能選択時や、 肯定ボタン 3、 否定ボタン 4の押下によ る指示データ入力時に、 触覚応答装置 1 0を振動させ、 また発音器 1 1により発 音させるようにしたもので、 視覚的教示に加え、 触覚的及び聴覚的にもォペレ一 夕に教示を行うことが可能となり、 より多くの機器操作の実感を与えることによ り誤操作の防止を図ることができる。 また、 統一的な操作手順を加え、 同じ指示 に対しては同じ教示、 別の指示に対しては別の教示を与えることにより、 視覚に よる情報取得が困難なときでも、 共通的に使用できる操作性を備えたものである。 実施例 1 1 . この発明の実施例 1 1に係るリモコン装置について図 2 1を参照しながら説明 する。 図 2 1は、 この発明の実施例 1 1に係るリモコン装置の触覚応答装置を示 す図である。 なお、 リモコン装置の他の構成等は、 上記の実施例 1 0と同様であ る。 図 2 1において、 1 0 Aは触覚応答装置、 1 0 cは制御処理部 5 1 Cからの触 覚制御信号によりソレノィ ドコイル 1 0 dに通電する駆動回路、 1 0 eはソレノ イ ドコイル 1 0 dにより駆動される磁性体を材質とする駆動軸である。 ソレノイ ドコイル 1 0 dは、 制御処理部 5 1 Cからの触覚制御信号により制御 され、 ソレノイ ドコイル 1 0 dに電流が流れることにより、 ソレノイ ドコイル 1 0 dの中心に配置された駆動軸 1 0 eが移動し、 リモコン装置 1 0 0 Kの筐体を 叩くことにより、 オペレータに触覚を提示すものである。 すなわち、 この実施例 1 1に示したリモコン装置 1 0 0 Kにおいても、 上記の実施例 1 0と同等の効果 を得ることができる。 実施例 1 2 . この発明の実施例 1 2に係るリモコン装置について図 2 2を参照しながら説明 する。 図 2 2は、 この発明の実施例 1 2に係るリモコン装置の触覚応答装置を示 す図である。 なお、 リモコン装置の他の構成等は、 上記の実施例 1 0と同様であ る 図 2 2において、 1 0 Bは触覚応答装置、 1 0 f はモータ、 1 0 8はモータ 1 0 f の駆動軸に取り付けられた一対の羽状のバネである。 触覚応答装置 1 0 Bのモータ 1 0 f は、 図 1 9に示す制御処理部 5 1じからの 触覚制御信号により制御される。 この触覚制御信号がモータ 1 0 f に供給される ことにより、 モータ 1 0 f にとりつけられた羽状のバネ 1 0 gが回転し、 このバ ネ 1 0 gがリモコン装置 1 0 0 Lの筐体を叩くことで触覚を提示するものである c すなわち、 この実施例 1 2で示したリモコン装置 1 0 0 Lにおいても、 上記の実 施例 1 オペレータの指先に直接あたるように配置されている。 ソレノイ ドコイル 1 0 hは、 図 1 9に示す制御処理部 5 1 Cからの触覚制御信 号により制御される。 この触覚制御信号がソレノィ ドコイル 1 0 hに供給される ことにより、 ソレノイ ドコイル 1 0 hに電流が流れ、 ソレノイ ドコイル 1 0 hの 中心に配置された駆動軸 1 0 iが移動し、 オペレータが操作している操作スイツ チ 1 2を貫通して、 オペレータの指先を直接刺激することにより、 触覚を提示す るものである。 すなわち、 この実施例 1 3に示したリモコン装置 1 0 0 Mにおい ても、 上記の実施例 1◦と同様の効果を得ることができる。 実施例 1 4 . この発明の実施例 1 4に係るリモコン装置について図 1 9を参照しながら説明 する。 この実施例 1 4と上記の実施例 1 0の相違点は、 発音器の機能のみである < この実施例 1 4に係るリモコン装置 1 0 O Nは、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2の回 転による機能項目選択時や、 肯定ボタン 3又は否定ボタン 4の押下による指示デ —夕入力時に、 選択されている機能項目、 あるいは選択されている選択範囲の中 の値などを発音器 1 1で読み上げるものである。 例えば、 図 3 ( a ) に示された表示画面において、 発音器 1 1は、 機能項目選 択スィッチ 2により機能項目 「照明」 、 「空調」 、 「T V」 が選択される度に、 "しょうめい" 、 "くうちょう" 、 "てれび" というように、 発音する。 同様に、 図 3 ( c ) に示された表示画面において、 発音器 1 1は、 機能項目 「2 2 °C」 、 「2 1 °C」 、 「2 0 °C」 を "にじゅうにど" 、 "にじゅういちど" 、 "にじゅうど" のように直接音声で読み上げることにより知らせるものである。 . この実施例 1 4によれば、 音声のみでその操作内容が解るために、 暗闇の元で のリモコン操作が可能になる他、 視覚障害がある者も、 聴覚と触覚で操作しうる リモコン装置を得ることができる。 実施例 1 5 . この発明の実施例 1 5に係るリモコン装置について図 2 4から図 2 6までと、 図 4 4を参照しながら説明する。 図 2 4は、 この発明の実施例 1 5に係るリモコ ン装置の構成を示すブロック図である。 また、 図 2 5は、 この発明の実施例 1 5 に係るリモコン装置の外観を示す図である。 図 2 4及び図 2 5において、 表示器 1と、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2と、 肯定ボ タン 3と、 否定ボタン 4と、 通信部 6とは上記の実施例 1で説明したものと同様 の動作を行うため、 説明を省略する。 1 0 0 Pはこの実施例 1 5に係るリモコン 装置、 1 3は特性選択手段となる人選択スィ ッチであり、 オペレータは自分が対 象とする趣向に応じた選択機能の数を選択できるようにするスィツチである。 こ の実施例 1 5では、 人選択スィツチ 1 3は年齢層により 3つに区別されている。 この実施例 1 5では、 平均的な家族構成の家庭におけるリモコン装置 1 O O P の使用例に基づいて説明する。 家庭では機器を高度に使いたいという要求の強い 青年層から、 一般に基本的操作しか行わない高齢者までがリモコン装置 1 O O P を使用する対象となる。 例えば、 テレビ操作時では、 一般に高齢者を含め、 多くの人にとって必要とな る機能は、 電源のオン オフ、 音量調整又はチャンネル選択のみである。 したがつ て、 これ以外の機能については操作をする上で邪魔になるだけである。 また、 表 示器 1上の表示面積上の制限から機能を付加する毎に相対的に各機能項目の表示 面積が小さくならざるを得ず、 選択機能が増えると機能項目の識別等が困難であ り、 操作性を悪化させる一因となっている。 一方、 例えば青年層等のマニアックな志向をもつ人にとっては、 上記のような 基本機能だけでなく、 ビデオデッキ等の映像ソースからの出力を選択したり、 明 るさ、 色合い等の映像の細かな設定を選択できるような高度な機能を付加したリ モコン装置が要求されることがある。 このようにあらゆるオペレータの趣向に応じて機能が選択できるリモコン装置 を満足するために、 この実施例 1 5に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Pは、 オペレータ が要求する趣向に応じて機能項目の数の変更が可能な人選択スィツチ 1 3を設け、 この人選択スィツチ 1 3に設定された情報にしたがって機能項目の数の増減と表 示器 1に表示する機能項目の大きさとを可変できるものである。 図 2 6 ( a ) 〜 (c ) は、 人選択スィツチ 1 3の操作による画面表示例である c 図 2 5及び図 2 6は、 遠隔操作対象機器として空調機器が選択されたものである c また、 図 4 4は、 この実施例 1 5に係るリモコン装置の制御処理部の動作を示す フローチヤ一トである。 以下、 人選択スィッチ 13の画面表示について説明する。 オペレータが人選択 スィッチ 13を 「通常モード」 に設定する。 人選択スィツチ 13により通常モー ドが選択されたと判断すると、 制御処理部 51 Dは、 記憶部 52Dを検索し、 図 26 (b) の表示画面を表示器 1に表示させる (ステップ S 1500〜S 150 2) 。 通常モー ドでの設定の場合、 使用頻度が高い標準的な機能項目である 「〇 N/OFFJ 、 「温度」 、 「タイマー」 設定が一般的な標準の大きさで表示され る オペレータが例えば高齢者の場合、 人選択スィツチ 13を 「高齢者モード」 に 設定する。 人選択スィツチ 13により高齢者モードが選択されたと判断すると、 制御処理部 51 Dは、 記憶部 52 Dを検索し、 図 26 ( c ) の表示画面を表示器 1に表示させる (ステップ S 1500〜S 1503〜S 1504) 。 高齢者モー ドでの設定の場合、 空調機器として最も基本的機能である 「ONZOFF」 と 「温度」 設定が通常モードよりも見やすいように、 大きく表示される。 ォペレ一夕が例えば青年層の場合、 人選択スィッチ 13を 「マニアモード」 に 設定する 人選択スィツチ 13によりマニアモードが選択されたと判断すると、 制御処理部 5 I Dは、 記憶部 52Dを検索し、 図 26 (a) の表示画面を表示器 1に表示させる (ステップ S 1500〜S 1505〜S 1506) 。 マニアモ一 ドでの設定の場合、 標準的機能項目だけではなく、 さらに 「風量」 設定や 「風向」 設定等の細かな機能項目が追加的に表示される。 機能項目の表示が多くなるため 必然的に表示が小さくなるが、 より詳細な空調設定が可能になる。 また、 人選択スィツチ 13の各モードに対して機能項目の初期値や設定可能範 囲を可変することにより、 より安全で操作性の高いリモコン装置を得ることが可 能である。 例えば、 人選択スィッチ 1 3が 「通常モード」 に設定されている場合は、 空調 機器の温度設定の範囲を 「1 8 °C〜2 8 °C」 までとし、 制御処理部 5 1 Dはそれ 以外の数字を表示させないようにする。 また、 人選択スィッチ 1 3が 「高齢者モ ード」 に設定されている場合には、 温度設定の範囲を 「2 0 °C〜2 4 °C」 までと する。 このようにモー ドに応じて設定値を変化させることにより、 肌理細やかな 操作性を提供することができる。 以上、 空調機器の温度設定に関して説明したが、 テレビの音量等の初期設定においても有効な手段である。 以上のように、 この実施例 1 5によれば、 オペレータの特性や趣向等に応じて 機能項目の表示数を変更し、 表示画面の選択、 表示の大きさを選択できるように したので、 例えば表示が大きく見やすい方がいい人や、 基本機能だけで十分な人 にとつては、 「高齢者モード」 を選択することにより、 見やすくて基本機能だけ を選択しやすい画面を表示することができる。 実施例 1 6 . この発明の実施例 1 6に係るリモコン装置について図 2 7から図 2 9までと、 図 4 5を参照しながら説明する。 図 2 7は、 この発明の実施例 1 6に係るリモコ ン装置の構成を示すブロック図である。 また、 図 2 8は、 この発明の実施例 1 6 に係るリモコン装置の外観を示す図である。 さらに、 図 4 5は、 この実施例 1 6 に係るリモコン装置の制御処理部の動作を示すフローチヤ一トである。 図 2 、ずれかを選択できるようにしたものである。 機器選択操作モードとは、 上記の実施例 1等で説明したような機器毎のリモコ ン操作を行うようにするモー ドである。 また、 生活パターン操作モードとは、 自 分の生活パターンによりあらかじめ設定しておいた複数の機器の遠隔操作を押下 ボタンを少なく して行えるようにしたものである。 図 2 7において、 制御部 5 Eは、 制御処理部 5 1 E及び記憶部 5 2 Eで構成さ れている。 制御処理部 5 1 Eは、 図 1の制御処理部 5 1の動作だけでなく、 生活 パターン操作モード選択ボタン 1 4により、 選択されたモードに基づいて処理を 行うものである。 また、 記憶部 5 2 Eは記憶部 5 2に保持されたデータに加え、 生活パターンモードの際に実行される手順の指示コードが保持されている。 日常生活においては、 あるパターンで複数の機器を操作する場合がある。 例え ば、 ビデオを見ようとする場合、 テレビの電源及びビデオの電源をオンし、 テレ ビのチャンネルを外部入力にする動作が行われる。 このような複数の機器を操作 するために毎回一定のパターンにしたがってリモコン装置を操作するのは手間と 時間を要する。 そこで、 この実施例 1 6においては、 生活パターン操作モー ド選択ボタン 1 4 を設け、 上記実施例 1のように各機器毎の機能項目を表示し、 対象機器のみを遠 隔操作する機器選択操作モードと、 日常の生活場面に応じて複数の機器を 1回の 操作で遠隔操作する生活パターン操作モードとを選択できるようにしたものであ る o 図 2 9は、 生活パターン操作モード選択ボタン 1 4を付加したリモコン装置の 画面表示例である。 「機器選択操作モード」 選択時は、 同図 (a ) に示すように 上記実施例 1で説明したものと同様の表示及び動作を行う (ステップ S 1 6 0 0 〜S 1 6 0 1 ) 。 生活パターン操作モード選択ボタン 1 4を操作すると、 制御処 理部 5 1 Eは、 同図 (b ) のデータ (表示画面) を記憶部 5 2 Eから読み出し、 表示器 1に表示させる (ステップ S 1603) 。 ここでは 「ビデオ鑑賞」 という機能項目に対応する、

図 3 0において、 6 1、 6 2及び 6 3は通信部 6 Cを構成する赤外線発光素子 であり、 制御処理部 5 1からの通信制御信号を元に、 発光素子制御回路 5 7によ り駆動され、 赤外線を発光し通信を行うものである。 また、 1 0 O Rはこの実施 例 2 0に係るリモコン装置である。 以下、 この実施例 2 0の動作を、 操作対象を照明器具、 空調機器、 及びテレビ ( T V ) と想定した場合に関して説明する。 蛍光灯を用いた照明器具は、 点灯直後に、 高い強度の赤外線を発光することが 知られている。 従って、 該機器を赤外線を用いて制御する場合には、 上記照明器 具本体から発光される赤外線より強い赤外光を通信に使用する必要がある。 そこ で、 通常、 3個の赤外線発光素子 6:!〜 6 3を同時に点灯させることにより、 強 めた赤外線を用いて送信している。 上記の照明器具にくらべて、 空調機器や、 テレビは、 通信の邪魔になる赤外線 の発光が少ないので、 弱い赤外線 (通常、 1〜2個の赤外線素子) を用いる。 複数の機器を対象とするリモコン装置においては、 どの機器に対しても確実に 通信を行い制御するために、 一番強度を必要とされる機器を基準に必要な赤外線 の発光量の設計がなされている。 しかしながら、 リモコン装置は、 持ち運びの便 のために、 その電源として電池が用いられ、 高い強度の発光を行うために電池の 消耗を来たし、 電池寿命が短くなるという不都合をもたらしている。 また、 複数 の機器を 1つのリモコン装置で操作するために、 単体の機器を操作するリモコン 装置に比べて操作回数も増大し、 著しく電池寿命が短くなつてしまうという課題 があった この実施例 2 0に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Rは、 対象機器毎に必要とされる赤 外線発光素子の数を制御することで、 最小の消費電力で、 確実な通信を行おうと するものである。 機能項目選択スィッチ 2により、 制御対象機器として照明器具が選択され、 あ るいは角度センサ 7により、 制御対象機器として照明器具が識別され、 この照明 器具の点灯制御等がなされた場合には、 制御処理部 5 1から、 発光素子制御回路 5 7に通信制御信号と対象が照明器具であることが通知される。 発光素子制御回路 5 7は、 上記通知に基づいて、 予め設定された機器毎の発光 強度の管理データから、 必要な発光強度が得られる素子数を選択し、 通信部 6 C の各発光素子 6 1、 6 2、 6 3に対して駆動指令を送出する (ステップ S 2 0 0 0〜S 2 0 0 2 ) 。 照明器具の場合、 前述の理由により、 通常、 設計最大の発光 量が要求されるため、 赤外線発光素子 6 1、 6 2及び 6 3のすベてをその送信に 使用する。 機能選択スィツチ 2により、 制御対象機器としてテレビ又は空調機器を選択さ れた場合、 あるいは角度センサ 7により、 制御対象機器としてテレビ又は空調機 器が識別された場合には、 制御処理部 5 1から、 発光素子制御回路 5 8に通信制 御信号と対象がテレビあるいは空調機器であることが通知される。 発光素子制御 回路 5 7は、 上記通知に基づいて、 予め設定された機器毎の発光強度の管理デー 夕から、 必要な発光強度が得られる素子数を選択し、 通 ί言部 6 Cの各発光素子 6 1、 6 2、 6 3に対して駆動指令を送出する (ステップ S 2 0 0 3 ) 。 テレビ、 空調機器の場合、 前述の理由により、 少量の赤外線発光で通信が可能なため、 例 えば発光素子 6 1のみをその通信に使用する。 上述のように対象機器に対して、 使用する赤外線発光素子の数を最適に制御す ることで、 確実でしかも最低限の消費電力で通信を行い、 電池の寿命を延ばすこ とができるリモコン装置を得ることができる。 実施例 2 1 . なお、 上述の実施例 2 0においては、 赤外線発光量の調整を赤外線発光素子の 数で制御する構成を示したが、 発光素子に対する駆動電流を制御することにより. 赤外線発光量の制限を行っても同等を効果を得ることができる。 実施例 2 2 . この発明の実施例 2 2に係るリモコン装置について図 3 1と図 4 7を参照しな がら説明する。 図 3 1は、 この発明の実施例 2 2に係るリモコン装置の構成を示 すブロック図である。 また、 図 4 7は、 この実施例 2 2に係るリモコン装置の発 光素子制御回路の動作を示すフローチヤ一トである。 上記電池寿命が短くなることの対応として、 できるだけ少ない光量で、 できる だけ遠くにある機器を操作するために、 配光範囲を狭く した L E Dが使用される 場合も多い。 この場合、 配光が狭いために、 正確に機器方向に向けて操作する必 要が発生した。 また、 ボタン操作による手振れにより、 光軸中心がずれてしまうことにより、 機器を安定して操作できなくなるという問題が発生していた。 水平方向に設置されるテレビに関しては、 比較的機器に向けて操作がしゃすい カ^ 空調機器、 照明器具を操作する場合には、 視差により、 光軸の中心からそれ てしまい操作できなくなるなど、 機器の設置位置による操作の不安定さも発生す る。 特に、 高齢者の場合には、 手、 腕を挙げて操作しなければならなくなる空調機 器、 照明器具の操作は、 加齢による腕、 指の力の衰えにより、 大きな手振れを発 生してしまいこれらの課題は顕著なかたちで現れてくる。 図 3 1において、 6 4及び 6 6は広配光の赤外線発光素子、 6 5は狭配光の赤 外線発光素子である。 また、 1 0 0 Sはこの実施例 2 2に係るリモコン装置であ る 以下、 この実施例 2 2に係るリモコン装置 1 0 0 Sの動作について、 操作の対 象を空調機器、 照明器具、 テレビと想定した場台に関して説明する。 例えば、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2により、 遠隔操作対象機器として照明器具が 選択された場合、 あるいは角度センサ 7により、 遠隔操作対象機器として照明器 具が識別された場合には、 制御処理部 5 1から、 発光素子制御回路 5 7 Aに通信 制御信号と対象が照明器具であることが通知される。 発光素子制御回路 5 7 Aは、 上記通知に基づいて、 予め設定された機器毎の配 光管理データベースを参照し、 必要な配光、 発光強度が得られる素子を選択し、 通信部 6 Dの各発光素子に対して駆動指令を送出する (ステップ S 2 2 0 0〜S 2 2 0 1 ) 。 照明器具の場合、 前述の理由により、 広い配光、 最大の発光量が要 求されるため、 発光素子 6 4、 6 5、 6 6のすベてを駆動する。 機能選択スィツチ 2により、 遠隔操作対象機器として空調機器が選択された場 合、 あるいは角度センサ 7により、 遠隔操作対象機器として空調機器が識別され た場合には、 制御処理部 5 1から、 発光素子制御回路 5 7 Aに通信制御信号と操 作対象として空調機器が通知される。 発光素子制御回路 5 7 Aは、 上記通知に基づいて、 予め設定された機器毎の配 光管理データベースから、 必要な配光、 発光強度が得られる素子の組み合わせを 選択し、 通 ί言部 6 Dの各発光素子に対して駆動指令を送出する (ステップ S 2 2 0 0〜S 2 2 0 1 ) 。 空調機器の場合、 上述の理由により、 比較的広い配光が必 要とされるため、 発光素子 6 4、 6 6を駆動する。 また、 テレビの場合には、 比 較的少量で、 狭い配光範囲の発光で十分なため、 発光素子 6 5だけを駆動する。 このように対象機器に対して、 異なる配光特性を持った赤外線発光素子を駆動 することで、 各機器に対して、 確実でしかも最低限の消費電力で、 リモコン操作 を行うことによりその電池寿命を長く したリモコン装置を得ることができる。 実施例 2 3 . この発明の実施例 2 3に係るリモコン装置について図 3 2を参照しながら説明 する。 図 3 2は、 この発明の実施例 2 3に係るリモコン装置の構成を示すブロッ ク図である。 人選択スィツチ 1 3による動作は、 上記の実施例 1 5に示した内容と同じなの で説明を省略する。 オペレータが要求する機能に応じて機能項目の変更が可能な 人選択スィッチ 1 3を設け、 人選択スィ ッチ 1 3に設定された情報 (高齢者モー ド、 通常モー ド、 マニアモー ド) と、 選択されている機器情報とにより、 通信部 6 Dの配光、 発光強度を行うことより、 さらに確実な操作性とその電池寿命を改 善することのできるリモコン装置を得ることができる。 実施例 2 4 . この発明の実施例 2 4に係るリモコン装置について図 3 3と図 4 8を参照しな がら説明する。 図 3 3は、 この発明の実施例 2 4に係るリモコン装置の構成を示 すブロック図である。 また、 図 4 8は、 この実施例 2 4に係るリモコン装置の発 光素子制御回路の動作を示すフローチヤ一トである。 図 3 3において、 5 8は過去 (前回) の操作対象機器及び操作対象機能と、 今 回の操作対象機器及び操作対象機能とを記憶する操作履歴記憶手段を示す。 オペレータが、 機能項目選択スィッチ 2を回転操作すると、 制御処理部 5 1は、 記憶部 5 2に予め記憶された画面を表示器 1に表示する。 その表示に基づいて、 制御処理部 5 1は、 機能項目選択スィツチ 2、 肯定ボタン 3または否定ボタン 4 からオペレータの指示が指示データとして入力されるとその指示データの内容を 表示させたり、 その指示デ一夕に基づいて、 記憶部 5 2に記憶されている別の画 面を表示させたりする。 さらに、 指示データが確立すると発光素子制御回路 5 7 Cに指示コードを出力する。 発光素子制御回路 5 7 Cは、 その指示データから、 その内容である操作対象機 器及び操作対象機能と、 操作履歴記憶手段 5 8に格納された前回操作時の操作対 象機器及び操作対象機能とを比較し、 異なる場合は、 機器毎の発光強度の管理デ 一夕を参照し、 初期設定値での発光量の駆動 (例えば、 発光素子 6 1のみを駆動 する) を通信部 6 Cに指示する (ステップ S 2 4 0 3 ) 。 この通信部 6 Cは、 そ の指示に従って、 指示コードを赤外線コードに変換した赤外線信号を出力する。 また、 発光素子制御回路 5 7 Cは、 上記指示データの内容である操作対象機器 及び操作対象機能と、 操作履歴記憶手段 5 8に格納された前回操作時の操作対象 機器及び操作対象機能とを比較し、 同じである場合には、 通常の発光量よりも多 い発光量での駆動 (例えば、 発光素子 6 1、 6 2の駆動) を通信部 6 Cに指示す るとともに、 機器毎の発光強度の管理データを書き換える (ステップ S 2 4 0 0 〜S 2 4 0 2 ) 。 通信部 6 Cは、 その指示に従って、 指示コードを赤外線コ一ド に変換した赤外線信号を出力する。 以降は、 上記書き換えられた発光強度の管理 データにもとづいた発光量で赤外線通信が実行される。 以上のように、 この実施例 2 4によれば、 赤外線通信の発光量が遠隔操作対象 機器の操作に不足し上記機器のリモコン操作に失敗した場合を、 同じ機器に対し て同じ操作を繰り返すということにより代替的に検出し、 同じ操作を繰り返した 場合には、 順次発光量を増加することで、 確実かつ安定に操作しうるリモコン装 置を得ることができる。 実施例 2 5 . この発明の実施例 2 5に係るリモコン装置について図 3 4及び図 3 5と図 4 9 を参照しながら説明する。 図 3 4は、 この発明の実施例 2 5に係るリモコン装置 の構成を示すブロック図である。 また、 図 3 5は、 この実施例 2 5に係るリモコ ン装置をトイレ空間に適用した場合の各機器の配置を表す図である。 さらに、 図 4 9は、 この実施例 2 5に係るリモコン装置の制御処理部の動作を示すフローチヤ -トである。 図 3 4及び図 3 5において、 1 5は動作検出センサ、 1 0 0 Vはこの実施例 2 5に係るリモコン装置である。 また、 2 1 0は照明器具、 2 2 0は換気扇、 2 3 0は洗浄機能付便座である。 動作検出センサ 1 5は、 例えば、 赤外線等の光によ り人の動作を検出するセンサや、 入口ドアの開閉で人室 Z退室を検出するセンサ や、 便座の接触 Z非接触で着座ノ起立を検出するセンサなどである。 動作検出センサ 1 5は、 人のトイレ空間への入室 Z退室、 洗浄機能付便座 2 3 0への着座 Z起立を検出する。 この動作,検出センサ 1 5の各動作検出に関する各 機器への動作指示は、 予め下記のように設定されているものとする。
トイレ空間への入室を検出した場合は、 照明器具 2 1 0を O Nする。
洗浄機能付便座 2 3 0への着座を検出した場合は、 換気扇 2 2 0を O Nする。 洗浄機能付便座 2 3 0からの起立を検出した場合は、 便座 2 3 0の自動洗浄機 能を O Nする。
トイレ空間からの退室を検出した場合は、 照明器具 2 1 0を O F Fし、 換気扇 2 2 0をタイマー運転 (所定時間後 O F F ) する。 以下、 :の実施例 2 5に係るリモコン装置の動作を説明する。 図 3 5に示すト ィレ空間に人が入ってくると、 この空間への入室を動作検出センサ 1 5が検出し、 入室検出信号が制御処理部 5 1 Fに送出される。 そうすると、 この制御処理部 5 1 Fは、 入室検出時の動作内容から照明器具 2 1 0の O Nの指示コードを通信部 6に支持する (ステップ S 2 5 0 1 ) 。 この通信部 6は、 その指示に従って、 指 示コードを赤外線コードに変換した赤外線信号を出力する。 着座/起立、 トイレ 空間からの退室時の動作 (ステップ S 2 5 0 2〜S 2 5 0 4 ) に関しても、 制御 対象機器が異なる他は、 上述の例と動作が同じなので、 ここでは説明を省略する c 以上のように、 この実施例 2 5によれば、 手が汚れている、 手が濡れているな どの理由により、 手による操作が行えない場合に、 各動作検出を手での各リモコ ン操作の代替として、 非接触で赤外線等の無線信号に変換された指示コードを送 信することができるリモコン装置を得ることができる。 産業上の利用の可能性
この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 複数の機能項目が並べ られた機能項目選択画面を表示する表示手段と、 前記機能項目選択画面中の機能 項目を選択するための機能項目選択手段と、 前記選択された機能項目を決定する ための決定指示入力手段と、 前記選択された機能項目を取り消すための取消指示 人力手段と、 前記決定指示人力手段によって特定の機能項目が決定指示されると、 複数の別の機能項目が並べられた別の機能項目選択画面を表示手段に表示させ、 前記決定指示がされた特定の機能項目の指示コードを出力する制御手段と、 前記 出力された指示コ一ドを無線信号に変換して遠隔操作対象機器へ発信する通信手 段とを備えたので、 操作をするスィッチ、 ボタンの数を減らすことができ、 また 表示手段に表示させる各機能項目の領域が大きくなることで、 検索及び操作が容 易になり、 さらに各遠隔操作対象機器で操作手順を統一することができ、 操作手 順を簡単にでき、 高い操作性を得ることができるという効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記制御手段カ^ 制御処理部と、 記憶部とを有し、 前記制御処理部は、 最初に、 複数の機能項目と して複数の遠隔操作対象機器が並べられた機能項目選択画面を前記記憶部から読 み出して初期画面として前記表示手段に表示させ、 前記機能項目選択手段によつ て特定の遠隔操作対象機器が選択されると、 前記特定の遠隔操作対象機器を他の 遠隔操作対象機器と区別できるように前記表示手段に特殊表示させ、 前記決定指 示入力手段によって前記特定の遠隔操作対象機器が決定指示されると、 複数の別 の機能項目として前記決定指示された遠隔操作対象機器の複数の設定機能が並べ られた別の機能項目選択画面を前記記憶部から読み出して前記表示手段に表示さ せ、 送信指示があるときは前記決定指示された遠隔操作対象機器の指示コードを 前記通信手段へ出力し、 前記機能項目選択手段によって特定の設定機能が選択さ れると、 前記特定の設定機能を他の設定機能と区別できるように前記表示手段に 特殊表示させ、 前記決定指示人力手段によって前記特定の設定機能が決定指示さ れると、 設定値入力が必要なときには前記決定指示された設定機能の設定値入力 画面を前記記憶部から読み出して前記表示手段に表示させ、 送信指示があるとき は前記決定指示された設定機能の指示コードを前記通信手段へ出力し、 前記通信 手段は、 前記指示コ一ドを赤外線 ί言号に変換して前記決定指示された遠隔操作対 象機器へ発信するので、 操作をするスィッチ、 ボタンの数を減らすことができ、 さらに各遠隔操作対象機器で操作手順を統一することができ、 操作手順を簡単に でき、 高い操作性を得ることができるという効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記機能項目選 択手段が、 前記表示手段のカーソルを上方向に移動するための第 1の機能項目選 択スィツチと、 前記表示手段のカーソルを下方向に移動するための第 2の機能項 目選択スィッチとを有するので、 直感的な操作を行うことができ、 項目選択時に 迷いなく操作することができるという効果を奏する。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記制御手段 力 前記第 1の機能項目選択スィッチの連続操作時間を計測するとともに、 前記 第 2の機能項目選択スィ ツチの連続操作時間を計測する計時手段と、 前記計時手 段によつて計測された連続操作時間が所定時間に達すると、 前記表示手段の画面 をスクロールするように、 所定回数の操作と同等の信号を発生する連続操作判断 部とを有するので、 何度も機能選択項目スィ ッチを操作することなく、 迅速に機 能項目を選択することができるという効果を奏する。 またさらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記制御 手段が、 さらに、 前記連続操作判断部から連続操作の受け入れ可否の問い合わせ があると、 機能項目毎に連続操作受け入れの可否が記述してある連続操作受入可 否デ一夕ベースを参照して受入可信号、 あるいは受入否信号を返信する連続操作 受入可否判断手段を有し、 前記連続操作判断部は、 前記連続操作受入可否判断手 段から受入否信号を受け取ると、 前記計時手段によつて計測された連続操作時間 が所定時間に達しても所定回数の操作と同等の信号を発生しないので、 連続操作 により不用意に機能項目がスクロールされてしまうことを防止することができ、 誤操作を減らすことができるという効果を奏する。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記制御手段 力 前記決定指示入力手段によって機能項目が決定指示される毎に、 機能項目毎 に選択頻度が記述してある選択頻度管理テーブルの選択頻度を更新するとともに、 機能項目選択画面のための機能項目表示リス卜の機能項目表示順序を前記選択頻 度管理テーブルの選択頻度順に並び替える項目表示順序管理手段を有するので、 使用時に最小の選択操作により効率的に操作することができるという効果を奏す る。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 さらに、 遠隔操 作対象機器に向けられた装置本体の方向に基づいて遠隔操作対象機器を識別する 対象機器識別手段を備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記対象機器識別手段によって識別 された遠隔操作対象機器の複数の設定機能が並べられた機能項目選択画面を初期 画面として前記表示手段に表示させるので、 操作手順を減らすことができ、 高い 操作性を得ることができるという効果を奏する。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記対象機器 識別手段を、 遠隔操作対象機器に向けられたときの装置本体の仰角に基づいて遠 隔操作対象機器を識別する角度センサとしたので、 簡易な構成で高い操作性を得 ることができるという効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記制御手段が、 前記通信手段によって受信された機器識別コードに基づいて遠隔操作対象機器を 識別し、 前記識別された遠隔操作対象機器の複数の設定機能が並べられた機能項 目選択画面を初期画面として前記表示手段に表示させるので、 精度の高い識別を 行うことができ、 高 、操作性を得ることができるという効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 さらに、 振動を 発生する振動発生手段を備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記表示手段の画面を更新表示 する度に前記振動発生手段に振動を発生させるので、 表示手段による視覚的教示 に加え、 触覚的教示を行うことが可能となり、 機器操作の実感をより多く与える ことにより誤操作の防止を図ることができるという効果を奏する。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記振動発生 手段を、 装置筐体を叩いて振動を発生する触覚応答装置としたので、 触覚的教示 を行うことができるという効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 さらに、 音声を 出力する発音手段を備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記表示手段の画面を更新表示する 度に前記発音手段に音声を出力させるので、 表示手段による視覚的教示に加え、 聴覚的教示を行うことが可能となり、 機器操作の実感をより多く与えることによ り誤操作の防止を図ることができるという効果を奏する。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記発音手段 力^ 前記表示手段に表示された機能項目選択画面中の機能項目が選択されると、 前記選択された機能項目を読み上げるので、 聴覚的教示を行うことができるとい う効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 さらに、 機能項 目の数に応じたモードを選択するための特性選択手段を備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記特性選択手段によって前記モードの 1つが選択されると、 前記選択されたモ 一ドに対応する数の機能項目が並べられた機能項目選択画面を前記表示手段に表 示させるので、 操作者の特性、 趣向等に応じて項目の種類、 数及び表示面積を変 更することができ、 高 L、操作性を得ることができるという効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 さらに、 所定の 関係がある複数の遠隔操作対象機器を同時に操作できる操作モードを選択するた めのパターン操作モー ド選択手段を備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記パターン操作モ 一ド選択手段によって前記操作モードが選択されると、 所定の関係がある複数の 遠隔操作対象機器を同時に操作する機能項目が並べられた機能項目選択画面を前 記表示手段に表示させるので、 ある生活場面でほぼ決まった操作パターンを行う 際に 1回の操作で複数の遠隔操作対象機器をあらかじめ定められた順序に従って 1度に遠隔操作でき、 操作手順が少なく、 高い操作性を得ることができるという 効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記通信手段力 \ 複数の赤外線発光素子を有し、 前記制御手段は、 予め遠隔操作対象機器毎に発光 強度が記述された発光強度管理データを参照し、 選択された遠隔操作対象機器に 対応して前記通信手段から送信される赤外線信号の発光強度を制御する発光素子 制御手段を有するので、 確実でしかも最低限の消費電力で通信を行うことができ、 電池寿命を向上することができるという効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記通信手段力^ 配光特性の異なる複数の赤外線発光素子を有し、 前記制御手段は、 予め遠隔操作 対象機器毎に配光特性が記述された配光管理データベースを参照し、 選択された 遠隔操作対象機器に対応して前記通信手段から送信される赤外線信号の配光を制 御する発光素子制御手段を有するので、 確実でしかも最低限の消費電力で通信を 行うことができ、 電池寿命を向上することができるという効果を奏する。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記通信手段 カ^ 配光特性の異なる複数の赤外線発光素子を有し、 前記制御手段は、 予め遠隔 操作対象機器毎に配光特性が記述された配光管理デ一タベースを参照し、 選択さ れた遠隔操作対象機器と前記特性選択手段によつて選択されたモ一ドとに対応し て前記通信手段から送信される赤外線信号の配光を制御する発光素子制御手段を 有するので、 確実な操作性を実現でき、 電池寿命を改善することができるという 効果を奏する。 さらに、 この発明に係るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 前記制御手段 が、 さらに、 前回の選択された遠隔操作対象機器とその操作機能を記憶する操作 履歴記憶手段を有し、 前記発光素子制御手段は、 今回の選択された遠隔操作対象 機器とその操作機能が、 前記操作履歴記憶手段によって記憶された前回の選択さ れた遠隔操作対象機器とその操作機能と同じである場合には、 前記通信手段から 送信される赤外線信号の発光強度を前記発光強度管理データの該当発光強度より も増加するように制御するとともに、 前記発光強度管理データの該当発光強度を 書き換えるので、 確実かつ安定に操作できるという効果を奏する。 また、 この発明に ί系るリモコン装置は、 以上説明したとおり、 さらに、 特定の 動作を検出する動作検出センサを備え、 前記制御手段は、 前記動作検出センサに よって前記特定動作を検出すると、 前記通信手段によって前記特定動作に対応す る遠隔操作対象機器の特定操作の指示コードを赤外線信号に変換して発信するの で、 非接触で遠隔操作対象機器を操作することができるという効果を奏する。

Claims

請求の範囲
1 . 複数の機能項目が並べられた機能項目選択画面を表示する表示手段と、 前記機能項目選択画面中の機能項目を選択するための機能項目選択手段と、 前記選択された機能項目を決定するための決定指示入力手段と、
前記選択された機能項目を取り消すための取消指示入力手段と、
前記決定指示人力手段によつて特定の機能項目が決定指示されると、 複数の別 の機能項目が並べられた別の機能項目選択画面を表示手段に表示させ、 前記決定 指示がされた特定の機能項目の指示コ一ドを出力する制御手段と、
前記出力された指示コードを無線信号に変換して遠隔操作対象機器へ発信する 通信手段と
を備えたリモコン装置。
2 . 前記制御手段は、 制御処理部と、 記憶部とを有し、
前記制御処理部は、
最初に、 複数の機能項目として複数の遠隔操作対象機器が並べられた機能項目 選択画面を前記記憶部から読み出して初期画面として前記表示手段に表示させ、 前記機能項目選択手段によって特定の遠隔操作対象機器が選択されると、 前記 特定の遠隔操作対象機器を他の遠隔操作対象機器と区別できるように前記表示手 段に特殊表示させ、
前記決定指示入力手段によって前記特定の遠隔操作対象機器が決定指示される と、 複数の別の機能項目として前記決定指示された遠隔操作対象機器の複数の設 定機能が並べられた別の機能項目選択画面を前記記憶部から読み出して前記表示 手段に表示させ、 送信指示があるときは前記決定指示された遠隔操作対象機器の 指示コードを前記通信手段へ出力し、
前記機能項目選択手段によって特定の設定機能が選択されると、 前記特定の設 定機能を他の設定機能と区別できるように前記表示手段に特殊表示させ、 前記決定指示人力手段によつて前記特定の設定機能が決定指示されると、 設定 値入力が必要なときには前記決定指示された設定機能の設定値入力画面を前記記 憶部から読み出して前記表示手段に表示させ、 送信指示があるときは前記決定指 示された設定機能の指示コードを前記通信手段へ出力し、
前記通信手段は、 前記指示コードを赤外線信号に変換して前記決定指示された 遠隔操作対象機器へ発信する請求項 1記載のリモコン装置。
3 . 前記機能項目選択手段は、
前記表示手段のカーソルを上方向に移動するための第 1の機能項目選択スィッ チと、
前記表示手段のカーソルを下方向に移動するための第 2の機能項目選択スィッ チと
を有する請求項 1記載のリモコン装置。
4 . 前記制御手段は、
前記第 1の機能項目選択スィツチの連続操作時間を計測するとともに、 前記第 2の機能項目選択スィツチの連続操作時間を計測する計時手段と、
前記計時手段によって計測された連続操作時間が所定時間に達すると、 前記表 示手段の画面をスクロールするように、 所定回数の操作と同等の信号を発生する 連続操作判断部と
を有する請求項 3記載のリモコン装置。
5 . 前記制御手段は、 さらに、
前記連続操作判断部から連続操作の受け入れ可否の問い合わせがあると、 機能 項目毎に連続操作受け入れの可否が記述してある連続操作受入可否データベース を参照して受入可信号、 あるいは受入否信号を返信する連続操作受入可否判断手 段を有し、
前記連続操作判断部は、 前記連続操作受入可否判断手段から受入否信号を受け 取ると、 前記計時手段によって計測された連続操作時間が所定時間に達しても所 定回数の操作と同等の信号を発生しない請求項 4記載のリモコン装置。
6 . 前記制御手段は、
前記決定指示入力手段によって機能項目が決定指示される毎に、 機能項目毎に 選択頻度が記述してある選択頻度管理テーブルの選択頻度を更新するとともに、 機能項目選択画面のための機能項目表示リス卜の機能項目表示順序を前記選択頻 度管理テーブルの選択頻度順に並び替える項目表示順序管理手段
を有する請求項 3記載のリモコン装置。
7 . さらに、 遠隔操作対象機器に向けられた装置本体の方向に基づいて遠隔操作 対象機器を識別する対象機器識別手段を備え、
前記制御手段は、 前記対象機器識別手段によって識別された遠隔操作対象機器 の複数の設定機能が並べられた機能項目選択画面を初期画面として前記表示手段 に表示させる請求項 1記載のリモコン装置。
8. 前記対象機器識別手段は、 遠隔操作対象機器に向けられたときの装置本体の 仰角に基づいて遠隔操作対象機器を識別する角度センサである請求項 7記載のリ モコン装置。
9 . 前記制御手段は、 前記通信手段によって受信された機器識別コードに基づい て遠隔操作対象機器を識別し、 前記識別された遠隔操作対象機器の複数の設定機 能が並べられた機能項目選択画面を初期画面として前記表示手段に表示させる請 求項 1記載のリモコン装置。
1 0 . さらに、 振動を発生する振動発生手段を備え、
前記制御手段は、 前記表示手段の画面を更新表示する度に前記振動発生手段に 振動を発生させる請求項 1記載のリモコン装置。

前記制御手段は、 前記特性選択手段によって前記モードの 1つが選択されると、 前記選択されたモードに対応する数の機能項目が並べられた機能項目選択画面を 前記表示手段に表示させる請求項 1記載のリモコン装置。
1 5 . さらに、 所定の関係がある複数の遠隔操作対象機器を同時に操作できる操 作モードを選択するためのパターン操作モード選択手段を備え、
前記制御手段は、 前記パターン操作モード選択手段によって前記操作モードが 選択されると、 所定の関係がある複数の遠隔操作対象機器を同時に操作する機能 項目が並べられた機能項目選択画面を前記表示手段に表示させる請求項 1記載の リモコン装置。
1 6 . 前記通信手段は、 複数の赤外線発光素子を有し、
前記制御手段は、 予め遠隔操作対象機器毎に発光強度が記述された発光強度管 理データを参照し、 選択された遠隔操作対象機器に対応して前記通信手段から送 信される赤外線信号の発光強度を制御する発光素子制御手段を有する請求項 1記 載のリモコン装置。
