Definitions
- the present invention relates to an improved apparatus for achieving a rebalancing of the human body.
- Such a rebalancing, necessary following multiple causes, implies carrying out correction and reeducation operations which one could qualify as "general biomechanics". Such operations are necessary in particular for blockages of the pelvic girdle, the shoulder girdle and the entire spine. They must also be implemented during the embedding of the sacrum in relation to the iliac bones, in the aftermath of direct trauma, or induced by the carrying members or by the gravity micro-trauma that accompanies aging and aggravates it.
- Such an assembly therefore makes it possible to cause the pelvis to pivot in one direction or the other relative to the fixed trunk, the amplitude of the pivoting being able to be adapted according to the treatment. Furthermore, it is possible with such an assembly, to immobilize the seat and to make the joints (ankles, knees) work by moving movable pads on which the feet of the user are supported.
- Swiss patent 328,968 describes, for its part, an apparatus comprising two fixing devices for the feet of a patient, devices mounted on a movable plate around a horizontal mean position.
- a first transmission device communicates to the plate an oscillating movement around its axis and a second device communicates to the plate an oscillating movement in a surface which is at least approximately in a vertical plane, and this so that the plate be animated by a movement which is the result of the two oscillating movements.
- Such an apparatus therefore makes it possible to communicate to the pelvis of a patient an oscillating movement conjugated simultaneously in a horizontal and vertical plane, the amplitude of the oscillations of the plate in the vertical plane being adjustable, before use.
- the concrete solution described in this document provides means which are incompatible with a rebalancing treatment for the body.
- the feet of the patient are fixed by means of "hooves", which can endanger the knees unless the movement communicated is minute.
- the presence of a pelvic strap blocks sacroiliac mobilization.
- the corset for holding the rib cage can hinder breathing and does not allow torsion to work on the bust.
- the apparatus make it possible to envisage carrying out a treatment in a seated position.
- a new type of mobile platform on which the patient can be kept in a standing position, in a sitting position, or other, of simple, easy design. to implement, versatile, which not only ensures the maintenance of the mobility of the pelvis and joints, but also allows to achieve a real rebalancing of the body by the fact that it requires a mobilization in the three planes of space according to the X, Y and Z coordinates making it possible to carry out alternating and rhythmic compression-decompression sequences, adjustable in all its parameters, such an apparatus basically making it possible to correct imbalances in the center of gravity of the human body located in the pool.
- the apparatus according to the invention makes it possible to carry out effectively all of the operations involved in rebalancing the entire skeleton, namely mobilization of the sacro-iliac joints, the lumbar spine, the thoraco-scapulo-cervical complex.
- active work against resistance can be carried out to improve muscle dynamics.
- This device also allows complete propioceptive reprogramming in charge of the ankle and knee joints.
- the device according to the invention can be used regardless of the morphology of the individual.
- the apparatus according to the invention is constituted by a platform intended to support the subject to be treated, capable of receiving an oscillating movement and it is characterized by that said platform is motorized and receives its oscillation movement around a central support axis, movement combined with an alternating rotation movement, the amplitude and speed of both the oscillation and the rotation being adjustable and may vary during use.
- the possibility of adjustment allows, on the one hand, the user to position himself on the platform while it is in a horizontal position, and to adapt the amplitude and the speed both of the oscillation and of the rotation in depending on the treatment to be carried out, these factors being able to vary in a programmed manner during use in depending on the treatment to be performed.
- the structure of the device according to the invention also makes it possible to use the platform in a horizontal plane, the oscillation movement then being canceled, only the rotational movement remaining.
- this basic platform is associated with means which make it possible to maintain at least the spine of the patient in a vertical position on the mobile platform.
- supports for the hands are advantageously provided, these supports being able to be arranged, with respect to the patient, either laterally and / or opposite the latter and / or above and forming, in the latter case, a pull-up bar .
- the hand supports will preferably be adjustable in height. Furthermore, in the case of lateral supports, they can also receive an alternating horizontal sliding.
- the device according to the invention is also preferably associated with means which make it possible to ensure traction in the axis of the body if this is necessary, in particular when the subject is held in a vertical upright position.
- these means are, for example, constituted by a fixed upright in the form of a bracket supporting an element constituted by a chin rest making it possible to maintain the subject in a vertical position while ensuring traction in the axis of the body; in such a case, the chin strap is advantageously fixed to the end of a cable subjected to an adjustable tensile force, this force being for example exerted by means of a counterweight which can slide in the vertical support column or any other means equivalent.
- a seat When the subject is treated in a sitting position, a seat is mounted directly on the mobile platform.
- the seat has no back support and is in the form of a stool-type seat on which the patient can be positioned either normally with the legs in front of him at right angles, or by placing his legs on each side as if he were positioned on a saddle.
- a seat is preferably orientable at 90 ° on each side in a horizontal plane and tiltable up and down on a vertical axis, the degree of inclination can be variable but advantageously being between 5 and 30 °.
- FIG. 3 is a top elevational view showing in more detail the structure of such an apparatus
- FIG. 4 is a top view showing how the control of the mobile platform is carried out
- FIG. 5 is an elevational view of Figure 4, the platform being shown in its horizontal position;
- FIG. 6 is a view along A of Figure 4 showing the manner in which the inclination of the support platform is made to communicate its oscillation movement;
- FIG. 7 is a view along B of Figure 4 showing a way of performing the alternative rotational drive of said support platform;
- FIGS. 8 and 9 are respectively side elevation and top views of a variant made in accordance with the invention.
- the invention will be described using the apparatus given by way of example with a patient held vertically in a standing position, but it could also be implemented by keeping the patient in a sitting position, the only adaptation made to the apparatus according to the invention residing in the fact that one ascends on the mobile platform, an essential element of the invention, a seat on which the patient sits.
- the seat does not have a back support, has a structure such that the patient can either be seated normally, or overlapping it.
- said seat will preferably be mounted on a height-adjustable support, and may be oriented either on each side in a horizontal plane, or tiltable up and down.
- the apparatus according to the invention essentially consists of a motorized platform (2) serving pedestrian support for the patient, this platform receiving an oscillating movement around a central support axis, combined with an alternating rotational movement.
- this platform is associated a fixed upright (3), in the form of a gallows in the present case, and which supports an element (4) - chin rest for example making it possible to maintain the subject in a vertical position on the platform (2) and to provide traction in the axis of the body if this is desirable.
- this traction can be obtained by mounting the chin strap (4) at the end of a cable subjected to a traction force (F) exerted for example by means of a counterweight (5) being able to slide in the vertical column (3), which makes it possible to have a vertical oscillating stabilization of the subject's head in synchronism with the oscillation of the platform (2).
- a five kilogram counterweight (5) is suitable for most patients to be treated. It is obvious that such a counterweight can possibly be changed and have a value greater than or less than five kilograms. Likewise, any other type of balancing system could be used.
- the mobile pedestrian support platform (2) has a structure such that it is motorized and can, on the one hand receive an oscillating movement around a central support axis and, d on the other hand, an alternating rotational movement, these movements being represented in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- Figures 3 to 6 illustrate an embodiment making it possible to obtain such a combination of movements and the manner in which the amplitude can be adjusted.
- the oscillating movement is obtained by mounting the platform (2) at the end of a central support axis (6) by through a ball joint assembly (7).
- the support axis (6) of the platform (2) is mounted at the end of the rod (8) of a jack (9).
- the underside of the platform (2) comprises a crown (10) on which two rollers (11) are supported, rotated about the vertical axis Z, by means of a link (12 ) connected to an engine plate (13).
- the plate (13) is rotated by means of a motor (14) through a pulley (15) and a transmission belt (16).
- the motor plate (13) is carried by wheels (17).
- a roller (18) is arranged which slides in a vertical lateral slide (19) so as to immobilize the rotating plate and therefore obtain the oscillation movement.
- the amplitude of the oscillation will depend on the inclination of the platform (2), which can reach up to 10 °.
- the platform (2) also receives an alternating rotational movement.
- a rotational movement is obtained, as shown in Figures 4, 6 and 7, by causing a displacement of the slide (19) of the guide of the roller (18) mounted on the periphery of the platform (2).
- the slide (19) is mounted on a support (20) which can slide on a fixed base (21).
- An eccentric (22) controls a connecting rod (23).
- the rotational drive of the eccentric (22) is obtained for example by means of the motor (14) through a transmission belt (25) on which a tensioner (24) is supported.
- a tensioner (24) is supported.
- the motor will be a conventional motor, its speed being adjustable either manually or being programmed for example to vary during a treatment. If in general, during a conventional treatment, the motor always turns in the same direction, it could be envisaged to reverse, according to a determined frequency, its direction of rotation.
- the apparatus according to the invention comprises lateral supports (5) adjustable in height, which can receive, as for them, an alternating horizontal sliding.
- the lateral supports (5) are semi-circular and it is possible to adjust the spacing by means of connecting rods (26).
- the command for horizontal reciprocating sliding is transmitted from the alternating rotational movement of the pedestrian support platform (2) by amplifying it.
- the movements of the lateral supports (5) can be braked to give a counter-resistance to the movement carried out by the patient.
- the lateral supports (5) are mounted on the column (3).
- FIGS. 8 and 9 comprises a platform (2) driven in a manner similar to that described above.
- two vertical gantries (30) are arranged laterally on either side of the platform (2) and are mounted at the four corners of the assembly (31) forming the cover of said platform and its means drive.
- These two gantries (30) serve as support for supports (32,33) for the hands arranged both laterally than in front and above the subject.
- the gantries can serve as support means for means (not shown) making it possible to provide traction in the axis of the body.
- the lateral supports (32) consist of two telescopic bars, the ends of which can slide along the uprights of the gantries (30), thus making it possible to position them either horizontally or at an angle, also varying the positioning in height of such supports.
- the front supports (33) shown only in FIG. 8 are also supported at their ends by the side gantries (30).
- They can be constituted by a single assembly (33) mounted sliding along the uprights of the gantry (30), assembly which comprises a support bar (34) angularly orientable.
- FIG. 8 use will be made of a plurality of front supports (34) arranged at different levels on the amounts of the gantry (30) and the handles (34) of which are pre-oriented relative to the subject to be dealt with.
- an upper crossmember (35) can also make it possible to fix means making it possible to exert a traction in the axis of the body.
- the two embodiments in accordance with the invention make it possible to achieve real rebalancing of the body, by implementing all or part of the elements which they comprise.
- such a device can be implemented either by using the platform alone, or by using the platform with the hand supports, notably lateral, or by using the platform, the hand supports and the oscillating decompression headrest , the patient can either be standing or squatting or sitting on a seat mounted on the platform.
- the elevation and the inclination of the platform produces an ascent of the hemibassin on one side: vertical axis Z and the simultaneous lowering on the other side and in addition convergence and divergence of the overlying vertebral segments in a transverse plane; b) a rotation of the platform causes on one side a rotation + anteversion of the hemibassin on a transverse axis X at the same time as a rotation and posteriorisation of the opposite hemibassin and; c) the inclination of the platform determines a change of angle of the hemibassin causing a lateral translation relative to a sagittal axis Y.
- Such a combination of movement also generates motor coherence adapted to stimulation.
- a seat will be mounted on the platform without back support, orientable 90 ° on each side in a horizontal plane and tiltable from 5 to 30 ° up and down on a vertical axis.
- Such a set can be used without only for the purpose of rehabilitation, but also to allow the skeleton to be prepared and balanced during vertebrotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy or other care before and after the sessions, to stabilize the results.
