Abstract

Dans un système de communications informatique dans lequel plusieurs postes de travail (10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20) d'utilisateurs sont connectés par un réseau informatique (26) à un serveur distant (22) qui héberge un espace IRC (32) où s'échangent des messages textuels, un sous-système d'analyse lexical (38, 40) équipe au moins quelques uns des postes de travail (10, 12) d'utilisateurs. Ces sous-systèmes d'analyse identifient les mots clés des messages de texte échangés et, envoyant ceux-ci comme termes de requête à un autre serveur (24) hébergeant un moteur de recherche (34), obtiennent d'autres sources de données pertinentes qu'ils mettent à la disposition des utilisateurs. Dans une autre configuration, le sous-système d'analyse se situe sur le même serveur (22) que l'espace IRC et il transmet les données des sources auxiliaires de données, ou les identifie, aux utilisateurs connectés.
