Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte aux systèmes d'extinction d'incendies et concerne un matériau d'extinction d'incendies qui est à base d'une composition polymère et qui n'endommage pas la couche d'ozone. Ce matériau contient un liant polymère de solidification à froid ainsi qu'un agent d'extinction d'incendies micro-encapsulé. Cet agent consiste en des substances de la classe des composés halogènes organiques qui correspondent aux formules C3F7I ou CnF2n+2 ou (C2F5)2N(CmF2m+1) où n = 5 - 7 et m = 1 - 2. Les composants de cette composition sont choisis dans des proportions de 40 à 60 % en poids d'agent d'extinction d'incendies micro-encapsulé, le reste se composant de liant polymère. Le liant polymère de solidification à froid est choisi dans la famille des polyépoxydes à base de résines époxydes dianes ou aliphatiques (y compris celles contenant du chlore) ou à base d'un mélange de résines époxydes dianes et aliphatiques ou, encore, dans la famille des polyuréthannes. Le matériau se compose d'une composition polymère réagissant à la chaleur qui comprend une matière de charge en dispersion consistant en un agent d'extinction d'incendies micro-encapsulé. L'agent d'extinction d'incendies se présente sous forme de microcapsules qui consistent chacune en des microsphères d'un diamètre de 100 à 400 νm, ces microsphères se composant d'une enveloppe polymère qui renferme un agent d'extinction d'incendies liquide. En fonction de la forme de coulage utilisée, ce matériau peut être produit sous forme de feuilles de revêtement, d'articles façonnés ayant une configuration voulue, ou de mastic à solidification à froid.
