- the present invention relates to a device, applied in valves for alumina obtaining facilities, which is intended to facilitate the self-cleaning of bauxite deposits inside the valve body, by turning and scratching the seats in the inside of the valve body.
- aluminum is obtained by electrolysis from bauxite, it being necessary for the bauxite to go through different phases or stages of treatment until obtaining alumina and subsequently aluminum.
- valves are composed of a rod or shaft with a disk or seal integral to it that is housed in the valve body, both elements constituting the valve assembly itself.
- the valve is operated by means of an input shaft that, through a conical pinion, moves a crown fitted with housings in which protrusions fit, like battlements, provided in the spindle nut, in such a way that the rotation of the crown is transmitted to the nut of the spindle which in turn causes the ascent and descent of the shaft or stem of the valve and therefore the coupling or disengagement of the closure or disc of the valve on the seats of the valve body.

- a device that causes the rotation of the closure or disc on its axis, so that this rotation produces a scratch of the closure on the seats inside the valve body, and therefore that this friction , start the deposition attached.
- This device consists of a socket lock that is coupled, by means of an internal teeth, to the upper end of the valve shaft, and that at the same time is inserted, by means of fins, in some housings of the crown that moves the spindle nut, thus linking the shaft from the valve to the crown, so both elements will rotate simultaneously.
- the locking sleeve is removed, independent of the movement of the crown from the axis so that the rotation of the input or drive shaft, in one direction or another, rotates the crown and consequently the spindle nut causing the rise or fall of the valve shaft.

- the locking sleeve shown in Figure 3, is composed of a cylindrical body, with different internal diameters, which has perimeter fins (8), and internally in its upper section, an internal teeth
- This locking bushing (5) is easily operated by its handle (10), which is screwed to the bushing (5) by its upper part.
- the locking bush (5) is coupled, as can be seen in figure (2), matching and inserting, the perimetral fins (8) in some housings or keyways (9), existing for this purpose in the crown (11).
