Abstract

L'invention concerne un caisson hyperbare comprenant une paroi extérieure (6) à section transversale arrondie, deux parois extérieures plates (7, 8), et une paroi intermédiaire plate (9), laquelle définit une chambre principale (11) et une chambre d'équilibrage (12). Chaque paroi plate (7-9) est pourvue d'une porte d'accès rectangulaire (18, 19, 22) capable de coulisser sur deux cotés pour passer d'une position ouverte à une position fermée. Ces portes (18, 19, 22) sont montées de manière à pouvoir être hermétiquement fermées sous l'action de la pression. Le sol intérieur (38) dudit caisson hyperbare (5) est coplanaire par rapport au sol extérieur (39) et présente un espace (41) correspondant à chaque porte (18, 19, 22) pour permettre la fermeture de chacune d'entre elles. Une bande (42) correspondant à cet espace (41) est par ailleurs articulée au bord du sol (38), cette bande étant destinée à pivoter en réponse à l'ouverture et à la fermeture de la porte (18, 19, 22), afin de garantir une continuité coplanaire du sol intérieur (38) par rapport au sol extérieur (39).
