Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant d'appliquer un revêtement sur un objet allongé (2), transporté de manière semi-continue ou continue le long d'une direction de transport, depuis un appareil (1) destiné au dépôt sur l'objet (2) d'un revêtement contenant un métal fondu, à un appareil (3) destiné à recevoir l'objet revêtu (2). Un dispositif permet d'enlever le revêtement en excès dans la direction longitudinale de l'objet, sensiblement opposée à la direction de transport. On applique à l'objet revêtu (2) un premier champ électromagnétique mobile qui génère une force agissant sur le revêtement à base de métal fondu, vers un premier bord latéral (15) de l'objet (2). On applique un second champ électromagnétique mobile qui génère une force agissant sur le revêtement à base de métal fondu, vers un second bord latéral (16) de l'objet (2), opposé au premier bord latéral.
