Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système permettant de régler une transaction par une valeur de crédit commercial faisant appel à un matériel et un logiciel informatiques. Les membres d'un système de règlement de crédit commercial peuvent transférer des instruments électroniques, dits crédits commerciaux, en échange de biens et de services. Ces crédits commerciaux sont de fait des lettres de change électroniques divisibles, transférables, escomptables, disponibles en permanence, dont les termes de crédit ont été élevés au statut A1/P1. Les promoteurs facilitent le système en enregistrant les acheteurs et les fournisseurs comme membres dudit système et en leur offrant des comptes opérationnels et des comptes de prélèvement avec lignes de crédit autorisées. Un acheteur membre approuve la facture d'achat d'un fournisseur membre et autorise le promoteur à transférer la valeur de crédit commercial du compte opérationnel et/ou de prélèvement de l'acheteur membre au compte opérationnel du fournisseur membre. La valeur de crédit commercial reçue par ce dernier peut être conservée dans son compte opérationnel jusqu'à son échéance. Elle peut également être escomptée au comptant avant échéance, ou transférée à d'autres membres pour l'achat de biens ou de services.
