Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de réduire des interférences de croisement de faisceaux dans un système de transmission de données sans fil, par séparation temporelle des faisceaux multiples. Un secteur d'une cellule est géographiquement divisé de façon qu'un certain nombre de diagrammes de faisceaux correspond à un certain nombre de zones de groupes d'utilisateurs. Par exemple, le secteur peut être divisé de façon que quatre zones de groupes d'utilisateurs sont créées. Le nombre de groupes et de diagrammes de faisceaux peut être augmenté ou réduit. Des transmissions par liaison aval, à partir d'une station de base, vers plusieurs terminaux d'utilisateurs, sont formées de façon que des transmissions vers des zones de groupes d'utilisateurs adjacentes n'ont pas lieu pendant les mêmes intervalles de temps. Selon un mode de fonctionnement, des transmissions de signaux de pilote sont supprimées à l'intérieur d'un faisceau, si aucune donnée n'est transmise pendant une période temporelle correspondante. Selon un autre mode de fonctionnement, des couloirs de garde temporels sont introduits, afin d'éviter les interférences entre les cellules. En outre, dans d'autres modes de fonctionnement, des terminaux d'utilisateurs envoient un rapport à la station de base, afin d'indiquer une ou plusieurs zones de groupes d'utilisateurs préférées, en vue de les inclure.
