Abstract

L'invention concerne une interface utilisateur destinée à un système interactif de distribution d'informations, laquelle interface est générée en tête de réseau du système, sous la forme d'un train binaire numérique, avant d'être transmise à l'équipement de l'utilisateur pour affichage. La mise en oeuvre de l'interface utilisateur est facilitée par des fonctions que l'on peut solliciter aussi bien au niveau local, c'est-à-dire au niveau de l'équipement de l'utilisateur, qu'au niveau système, c'est-à-dire en tête de réseau. Ladite interface utilisateur peut comprendre un guide des programmes interactif. L'invention concerne également une fenêtre 'informations de canal' ou 'flash' destinée à ce guide des programmes interactif. Dans un mode de réalisation, le bitmap de la fenêtre flash peut être codé et diffusé en continu à des terminaux par un serveur, par exemple, au niveau d'une tête de réseau de câblodiffusion. A la réception d'un signal, émis par une télécommande, qui commande l'apparition de la fenêtre d'informations de canal, le terminal incruste la fenêtre appropriée dans la vidéo en cours de diffusion. En outre, l'invention concerne divers modes de navigation qu'il est possible de sélectionner par le biais de ladite fenêtre informations de canal. Ces modes restreignent la navigation à partir de la fenêtre d'informations de canal à un ensemble prédéterminé de canaux disponibles.
