Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil d'impression autonome qui permet de transférer une image d'un film photographique sur un support d'impression et qui comporte un élément de balayage produisant une représentation numérique de l'image captée sur le film photographique et un élément d'impression servant à produire une forme associée à la représentation numérique sur le support d'impression. L'élément d'impression reçoit et traite la représentation de l'image numérique directement à sa sortie de l'élément de balayage. L'élément d'impression comprend de préférence un dispositif de commande qui commande l'élément de balayage, qui traite également les données d'image numérique et qui génère des commandes d'impression pour commander les têtes d'impression en vue de produire la forme associée sur le support d'impression. L'élément de balayage peut être intégré dans l'élément d'impression ou bien il peut être connecté à l'extérieur de l'élément d'impression au moyen d'une liaison de communication. Les instructions pour le balayage et le traitement des images peuvent être envoyées au dispositif de commande par une interface utilisateur qui comporte plusieurs boutons d'activation servant à lancer des fonctions. Une unité de développement de film peut également être intégrée dans l'élément d'impression pour développer le film d'un appareil photographique. Le film développé peut ensuite être balayé par l'élément d'exploration pour produire une représentation numérique de l'image sur le film développé, la représentation numérique pouvant ensuite être utilisée pour commander l'élément d'impression.
