Abstract

L'invention concerne un peptide, le hBD-3 (beta-défensine-3 humaine), ses dérivés et fragments, ainsi que des procédés de fabrication de ce peptide. Les peptides selon l'invention peuvent servir d'agents pharmaceutiques et être employés pour la protection et la lutte contre des germes pathogènes. Lesdits peptides sont notamment adaptés au traitement de maladies bactériennes des voies respiratoires, en particulier dans le cas d'infections par Burkholderia cepacia et Pseudomonas aeroginosa et de fibrose cystique. Les peptides selon l'invention peuvent également être employés dans le cas de maladies inflammatoires du tractus gastro-intestinal, du tractus urogénital, et de septicémie.
