Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de traiter des déchets plastiques contenant du plastique à base de polystyrène qui comprend un produit ignifuge, ce procédé se caractérisant en ce qu'il consiste à dissoudre les déchets plastiques contenant du plastique à base de polystyrène qui comprend un produit ignifuge dans un solvant pouvant dissoudre le plastique à base de polystyrène, et à soumettre le mélange liquide résultant à une séparation centrifuge, ce qui permet de séparer et de récupérer le plastique à base de polystyrène. L'invention concerne également un appareil permettant de mettre en oeuvre ledit procédé. Le procédé selon l'invention permet de séparer le produit ignifuge et le plastique à base de polystyrène contenu dans les déchets plastiques, et de récupérer l'un et l'autre facilement, sans avoir recours à un traitement thermique excessif, ce qui facilite le recyclage d'appareils électriques ménagers.
