Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de routage optique qui comporte des guides d'ondes d'entrée (2) qui reçoivent des signaux d'entrée optiques incorporant des signaux d'identification appliqués par des atténuateurs optiques variables (4), VOA, et des dispositifs d'orientation (5) de faisceau qui dirigent les signaux d'entrée vers des guides d'ondes de sortie (3) choisis. On prélève un échantillon de chaque signal de sortie, que l'on fournit à un photodétecteur (7) correspondant. Le signal de sortie électrique du photodétecteur (7) alimente un processeur (8) qui détecte la présence du signal d'identification requis dans l'échantillon et fournit un signal de rétroaction à un régulateur de direction (9), ce dernier régulant les dispositifs d'orientation (5) en fonction du signal de rétroaction, chaque signal d'entrée étant ainsi orienté vers la sortie choisie déterminée par la détection du signal d'identification correspondant à ladite sortie. Un tel dispositif permet à l'entrée choisie d'un commutateur nxn, par exemple, d'être mise en communication optique avec la sortie choisie du commutateur, l'orientation de faisceaux étant alors optimale.
