Abstract

La présente invention concerne un appareil permettant de prendre en charge une pluralité de lignes de communication à large bande et un procédé d'acheminement par paquets associé. Ce procédé consiste à transférer les paquets de données de l'internaute vers au moins une ligne de communication sélectionnée dans un groupe de lignes de communication inspectées, lorsque l'internaute demande une connexion à Internet. La présente invention prévoit à cet effet un appareil permettant de prendre en charge une pluralité de lignes de communication à large bande et un procédé d'acheminement par paquets associé. Ce procédé consiste (a) à obtenir des informations relatives à la bande passante de chaque ligne de communication, (b) à appliquer un test de ping à chaque ligne de communication afin de déterminer l'état du trafic dans les lignes de communication correspondantes en fonction du temps de réponse d'un sondeur ping et (c) à vérifier le lignes de communication lorsque l'internaute demande une connexion à Internet et à transférer les paquets de données distribués vers une ligne de communication moins encombrée que la ligne de communication la plus encombrée. Par ailleurs, la présente invention prévoit à cet effet un appareil permettant de prendre en charge une pluralité de lignes de communication à large bande et un procédé d'acheminement par paquets associé. Ce procédé consiste à obtenir des informations relatives à la bande passante de chaque ligne de communication pour déterminer le volume du trafic maximal pouvant être pris en charge par chaque ligne de communication et à utiliser des marques de paquets de IPTables disponible dans un noyau OS au point d'origine pour transférer les paquets de données distribués vers une pluralité de lignes de communication.
