Abstract

A semiconductor gas sensor for a gas chromatograph for detecting a component in a gas eluted from a separation column after a sample gas mixed with a carrier gas is introduced into the separation column, characterized in that it has a sensing element comprising a metal oxide semiconductor containing indium oxide as a primary component. The semiconductor gas sensor exhibits high sensitivity for a trace amount of a gas and can be suitably used especially for a gas chromatograph for detecting a component in a breath.
