Abstract

The invention relates to a porous nano- and ultrafiltration membrane produced from an elastomer that was obtained in the form of a film by covalently linking at least one monomer, polymer and/or prepolymer. The membrane is obtained by forming a liquid film from the at least one monomer, polymer and/or prepolymer and cross-linking. The film is swelled by carrying out the cross-linking in the presence of a swelling agent or the film is mixed with the swelling agent after cross-linking. The film is spatially fixed during or after cross-linking and the spatially fixed, swelled film is subjected to a deswelling process. The invention also relates to a method, for producing the inventive filtration membrane. The inventive membrane has an exclusion limit smaller than 10 nm, a distinct pore size distribution, high permeate flows and a high mechanical stability.
