Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'étanchéité servant à étanchéifier un élément de fermeture, en particulier une porte ou une vitre (30) d'un véhicule automobile (10), ce dispositif étant pourvu d'une garniture d'étanchéité (20) produite à partir d'un matériau incompressible et élastiquement déformable. Cette garniture d'étanchéité (20) est fixée sur un cadre (40) entourant au moins partiellement l'élément de fermeture (30) et comprend au moins une lèvre d'échantéité (22) qui repose contre l'élément de fermeture (30). L'objectif de cette invention est de perfectionner un tel dispositif d'étanchéité de façon à obtenir une action étanchéifiante qui peut s'adapter de manière variable aux influences environnantes extérieures. A cet effet, ladite lèvre d'étanchéité (22) est pourvue d'un actionneur (50) constitué d'un matériau piézocéramique et peut être comprimée en direction de l'élément de fermeture (30) sous l'action d'une tension électrique appliquée sur cet actionneur (50).
