Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil d'affichage affichant une image couleur en contrôlant une pluralité d'émissions (NSP) conformément à des signaux vidéo primaires (R, G, B). Un circuit de calcul (CC, CS) calcule une somme pondérée (IL) des signaux vidéo primaires (R, G, B) et limite le nombre d'émissions (NSP) dépendant de la somme pondérée. Dans la somme pondérée (IL), au moins l'un des signaux vidéo primaires (R, G, B) est pondéré différemment de l'un des autres signaux vidéo primaires (R, G, B). Ceci permet de sélectionner la contribution des différentes couleurs primaires (R, G, B) sur la somme pondérée (IL), de telle façon que le nombre d'émissions (NSP) soit contrôlé différemment pour différentes couleurs primaires (R, G, B). En conséquence, la puissance (P) peut être limitée pour chacune des couleurs primaires (R, G, B) à sensiblement la même valeur.
