Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de forger une fixation métallique à froid, telle qu'une douille-entretoise autosertissable, à l'aide d'un poinçon et d'une matrice placés au niveau d'une station de rognage final de tête, des bavures de cisaillage étant produites uniquement en-dessous de la tête de fixation, là où elles ne sont pas visibles après installation. Au niveau de cette station, une ébauche de fixation (16) comprenant un corps tubulaire et une tête circulaire temporaire est placée dans un alésage du poinçon (23), le corps de la fixation étant logé dans l'alésage et le dessous de la tête circulaire venant en about avec une face d'extrémité dudit poinçon. L'appareil à forger déplace ensuite la matrice vers le côté supérieur de la fixation jusqu'à ce qu'un bord de coupe polygonal de ladite matrice (12) cisaille le métal autour des bords de la tête circulaire de l'ébauche de fixation. Le déplacement de la matrice s'arrête lorsque le bord de coupe s'étend au-delà du dessous de la tête de la fixation. Au niveau de ce point, une tige d'éjection (21) à déplacement alternatif située dans l'alésage du poinçon éjecte la fixation de force par l'intermédiaire d'un passage ménagé dans la matrice vers un point situé au-delà du côté opposé de la matrice. L'appareil à forger écarte ensuite la matrice du poinçon et, une fois que ladite matrice est dégagée du poinçon, un manchon arracheur (25) à déplacement alternatif autour de la surface extérieure dudit manchon se déplace à partir d'une position rétractée sur l'extrémité du poinçon retirant ainsi une bague de chutes résiduelles (18) située autour de l'extérieur de ce poinçon.
