Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un cathéter à ultrasons conçu pour être inséré dans des passages corporels d'un patient lors d'actes médicaux. Un transducteur à ultrasons peut être placé à l'extrémité distale du cathéter. Un ballonnet gonflable peut être placé à l'extrémité distale du cathéter du côté proximal du transducteur à ultrasons. Le cathéter peut comporter des passages pour le fluide de gonflage, les fils électriques et un fil de guidage. Une gaine qui traverse le ballonnet peut servir à isoler les fils électriques et le fil de guidage du fluide de gonflage à l'intérieur du ballonnet.
