- the outer layer of HDPE is then formed over the mild steel reinforcement pipe, making sure that the either end of the HDPE inner and outer layer are welded together so that the mild steel ring is not exposed at either side.

Abstract
L'invention concerne des conduites en polyéthylène haute densité PEHD renforcées par du métal et constituées d'une conduite en acier doux (MS) d'un diamètre approprié (1) et présentant une couche intérieure (2) en PEHD d'une épaisseur appropriée et formée autour d'un mandrin à l'aide de machines d'extrusion qui forme la couche PEHD intérieure sur les conduites MS ; la couche PEHD extérieure (3) est extrudée sur la conduite renforcée par du métal de manière à obtenir une conduite renforcée par du métal prise en sandwich entre la couche intérieure et la couche extérieure de PEHD nécessitant un durcissement annulaire pour une utilisation dans un système d'égout.
