Abstract

Ein Brennelement für einen Druckwasserkernreaktor enthält eine Vielzahl von Brennstäben, die in einer Mehrzahl von axial beabstandeten Abstandhaltern (4) geführt sind, die jeweils ein aus Gitterstegen (141-17, 161-17) aufgebautes quadratisches Gitter mit einer Vielzahl von Maschen (6) bilden, die in Reihen (10) und Spalten (8) angeordnet sind. Durch eine Anzahl dieser Maschen (6) ist jeweils ein Steuerstabführungsrohr (12) hindurchgeführt, wobei der Abstandhalter (4) konstruktiv derart ausgelegt ist, dass bei Überschreiten einer seitlich auf den Abstandhalter (4) wirkenden Grenzkraft eine Verformung aus schliesslich in einem Bereich des Abstandhalters (4) beginnt, der sich ausserhalb eines die Steuerstabführungsrohre (12) enthaltenden Innenbereiches (18) befindet.
