Description

Canne d'entraînement munie d'une roulette pour joueur de golf L'invention concerne un dispositif d'entraînement pour joueur de golf comprenant une canne possédant un manche et une tête, la tête s 'étendant latéralement à partir de l'extrémité inférieure du manche, et une roulette montée sur la tête autour d'un axe sensiblement horizontal, faisant saillie vers le bas par rapport à celle-ci de manière à rouler sur une surface de réception sensiblement plane et horizontale lors d'un mouvement de la canne simulant le mouvement de frappe d'une balle de golf.
WO 99/56838 décrit un tel dispositif, dans lequel la roulette est sous forme d'un rouleau cylindrique, qui vient en contact par une génératrice avec la surface de réception d'une plateforme d'évaluation lorsque son axe de rotation est parallèle à cette surface, et seulement par un point lorsque cet axe est oblique par rapport à la surface de réception. Il en résulte bien évidemment que la réaction de la plate-forme d'évaluation est influencée par une inclinaison éventuelle de l'axe de la roulette, même si cette inclinaison est faible et n'a pas d'incidence sur la qualité du mouvement de frappe. De plus un tel impact ponctuel peut endommager la roulette et/ou et est éprouvant pour les articulations du bras du joueur.
Le but de l'invention est de remédier à ces inconvénients.
Deux paramètres jouent un rôle déterminant dans le mouvement (appelé "swing") à exécuter par un joueur de golf pour lancer une balle: le plan de swing et l'arc de swing. Le plan de swing est le plan dans lequel se déplace la tête de la canne. Ce plan doit être orienté de manière à envoyer la balle dans la bonne direction. L'arc de swing est la trajectoire décrite par la tête dans le plan de swing. Il doit être tel que la tête frappe la balle et le sol en un point précis. Il est incorrect si la tête frappe le sol avant la balle. L'objectif du dispositif selon l'invention est de permettre au joueur de s'entraîner quotidiennement à parfaire son swing, sans devoir disposer d'un terrain de golf. Pour frapper correctement une balle de manière répétitive, la maîtrise parfaite du swing est indispensable et nécessite beaucoup d'entraînement de la part du golfeur.
L'invention vise notamment un dispositif du genre défini en introduction, et prévoit que la roulette présente un profil en arc convexe de manière à venir en contact avec la surface de réception sensiblement en un seul point qui se déplace progressivement le long dudit profil lorsque l'angle d'inclinaison dudit axe par rapport à la surface de réception varie.
Des caractéristiques optionnelles de l'invention, complémentaires ou de substitution, sont énoncées ci-après:
- La roulette est sensiblement sphérique.
- La roulette a un diamètre d'environ 40 mm.
- La roulette est en un matériau propre à amortir un choc avec une surface dure.
Les caractéristiques et avantages de l'invention seront exposés plus en détail dans la description ci-après, en se référant au dessin annexé.
La figure unique est une vue partielle en élévation d'une canne d'entraînement selon l'invention.
La canne 1 représentée sur la figure 1 présente la configuration générale d'un club de golf classique de type fer, et comprend un manche allongé sensiblement rectiligne 2 et une tête 3. La canne est représentée approximativement dans la position correspondant à la position d'un club classique lorsqu'il frappe une balle. Selon l'invention, une échancrure sensiblement semi-circulaire 8 est ménagée dans la tête 3, à partir de son bord inférieur 4, formé par la face et par la semelle, de manière à loger partiellement une roulette sphérique 9 qui est montée sur la tête de manière à tourner autour d'un axe Al sensiblement parallèle au bord 4 et situé légèrement au-dessus de celui-ci, l'axe Al étant donc lui aussi sensiblement horizontal. Dans l'exemple illustré, la roulette 9 est solidaire d'un moyeu 5 monté tournant sur un arbre 6 fixé sur la tête. Elle est creuse et peut en outre être réalisée en un matériau propre à amortir les chocs tel qu'un élastomère. La roulette fait saillie d'une hauteur d'environ 0,5 mm par rapport au bord 4. Dans la position représentée de la canne, la roulette 9 peut rouler sur une surface de réception sensiblement horizontale en étant en contact avec celle-ci en pratiquement un seul point. Ceci reste vrai, dans certaines limites, lorsque l'orientation du manche se rapproche ou s'éloigne de la direction verticale, l'axe Al s 'inclinant dans un sens ou dans l'autre par rapport au plan horizontal, et le point de contact entre la surface de réception et la roulette se déplaçant le long de la génératrice de celle-ci. Lors d'un mouvement de swing, la roulette frappe donc la surface de réception et peut rouler sur celle-ci en acceptant, sans dommages ni incidence sur la qualité du swing, une variation d'environ ± 3 ° de l'orientation du manche ou de la tête par rapport au plan horizontal.
La canne selon l'invention présente notamment les avantages suivants par rapport à la canne à roulette cylindrique selon WO 99/56838:
- Elle évite le risque de contact destructeur pour la canne ou pour la plate-forme lors d'un choc sévère.
- Elle tolère des variations sensibles de l'inclinaison de la tête par rapport à la surface de jeu horizontale qui se produisent lors du mouvement de swing. - Son plus grand diamètre lui permet d'être creuse ou d'être réalisée en un matériau mou pour amortir les chocs et protéger ainsi les articulations du joueur.

Claims

Revendications
1. Dispositif d'entraînement pour joueur de golf comprenant une canne (1) possédant un manche (2) et une tête (3), la tête s 'étendant latéralement à partir de l'extrémité inférieure du manche, et une roulette (9) montée sur la tête autour d'un axe (Al) sensiblement horizontal, faisant saillie vers le bas par rapport à celle-ci de manière à rouler sur une surface de réception sensiblement plane et horizontale lors d'un mouvement de la canne simulant le mouvement de frappe d'une balle de golf, caractérisé en ce que la roulette présente un profil en arc convexe de manière à venir en contact avec la surface de réception sensiblement en un seul point qui se déplace progressivement le long dudit profil lorsque l'angle d'inclinaison dudit axe par rapport à la surface de réception varie.
2. Dispositif selon la revendication 1, dans lequel la roulette est sensiblement sphérique.
3. Dispositif selon la revendication 2, dans lequel la roulette a un diamètre d'environ 40 mm.
4. Dispositif selon l'une des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la roulette est en un matériau propre à amortir un choc avec une surface dure.
