Eine verbesserte Antenne nach planarer Bauart, insbesondere eine Patch-Antenne (1) umfasst folgende Merkmale: eine elektrisch leitende Massefläche (2); eine auf der Massefläche (2) angeordnete erste dielektrische Substratschicht (3) mit einer ersten relativen Dielektrizitätskonstanten; wenigstens eine auf der ersten dielektrischen Substratschicht (3) angeordnete elektrisch leitende Strahlungsfläche (4), die mit einem Ende (5a) einer elektrisch leitenden Speiseleitung (5) elektrisch verbunden ist; wenigstens eine auf der Strahlungsfläche (4) angeordnete zweite dielektrische Substratschicht (6) mit einer zweiten relativen Dielektrizitätskonstanten; die zweite relative Dielektrizitätskonstante ist größer oder gleich der ersten relativen Dielektrizitätskonstanten.
