Abstract

L’invention concerne un ensemble de joint d’expansion à placer dans un espace défini entre le premier et le second membres structurels, tels que les sections d’une route et/ou de la structure d’un pont. Les problèmes de connexion entre le rail et les barres de renfort des joints classiques sont surmontés par la formation intégrale de ces composants en une pièce unique. Les problèmes liés à l’incompatibilité physique et/ou chimique entre les composants d’un joint classique sont surmontés en formant tous ces composants à partir de matériaux à base de résine polymère organique, ce qui donne au joint faisant l’objet de cette invention une résistance supérieure aux conditions environnementales potentiellement nuisibles. Le joint faisant l’objet de la présente invention est formé en plaçant un ensemble compris d’un membre de scellement élastomère et d’au moins un membre d’ancrage dans un espace défini entre deux membres structurels et en moulant du mortier dans ledit espace. Durant le moulage du mortier, une partie du membre d’ancrage se lie chimiquement au mortier, créant de ce fait une connexion nettement plus forte et plus uniforme que celle qui existait dans les joints conformes à la technique antérieure employant des rails en acier et des barres de renfort. Une couche de matériau anti-dérapant comprenant une résine de polymère organique peut être placée sur une surface exposée de l’ancrage et/ou du moule en mortier.
