Description

Title: MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR BAMBOO
FISHING ROD
Technical Field The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a bamboo fishing rod, and in particular to a manufacturing method for a bamboo fishing rod by which it is possible to manufacture a light, elastic and aesthetic fishing rod using a bamboo.
Background Art
Generally, a fishing rod is formed of multiple step rods for an easier storage and transfer and an easier assembling and disassembling procedure. In this fishing rod, a top rod is made thinner as compared to the other rods so that the rods react against an up and down movement of a float as a fish takes a bite, with the diameters of the rods getting increased in the direction of a handle. A bamboo fishing rod has been used. The fishing rod is manufactured by cutting a bamboo into multiple parts for thereby forming multiple step rods. As technology advances, a carbon fiber fishing rod is developed. Figure 1 is a view illustrating a conventional carbon fishing rod. As shown in Figure 1 , a carbon fishing rod 100 is fabricated in such a manner that multiple step rods 110 formed of a carbon fiber are engaged with each other. The carbon fishing rod 100 has a high elastic force and strength and has a low cost, so that many people use the carbon fishing rod 100.
A new material for a fishing rod could be developed when concentrating on a concept of only increasing the strength and decreasing the weight of a fishing rod. However, the carbon fishing rod 100 has an excellent performance in all properties as compared to the other materials. So, the developments of the fishing rod have been focused on improving the performance of the carbon fishing rod 100.
However, though the carbon fishing rod 100 has many advantages, many fishing people have strong preferences on the bamboo fishing rod because the bamboo fishing rod gives the user a certain fishing feel which is transferred to a user's hand when a fish takes a bite. The conventional bamboo fishing rod is heavy and has lower elastic force as compared to a new material fishing rod. Therefore, it is urgently needed to develop a bamboo fishing rod which is light and has a high elastic force, while providing an exciting fishing feel transferred to a user's hand as a fish takes a bite.
Disclosure of Invention
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a manufacturing method for a bamboo fishing rod by which it is possible to manufacture a light, elastic and aesthetic fishing rod using a bamboo. To achieve the above object, there is provided a manufacturing method for a bamboo fishing rod using a bamboo which comprises a first step in which a bamboo is cut into multiple step bamboo rods being inserted into neighboring bamboo rods and being engaged with each other; a second step in which the bamboo rods are divided into longitudinal directions so as to form multiple bamboo pieces; a third step in which the inner skins of the bamboo pieces are removed with regular thickness; and a fourth step in which the bamboo pieces, from which the inner skins are removed with regular thickness, are bonded using an adhesive in a forming machine for thereby manufacturing the multiple step bamboo rods.
After the fourth step there is further provided a fifth step in which the bamboo rods manufactured based on the bonding of the bamboo pieces are bound using a binding line.
After the fifth step there is further provided a sixth step in which the surfaces of the bound bamboo rods are coated.
After the sixth step there is further provided a seventh step in which a handle is formed.

Figure 2 is a block diagram illustrating a manufacturing method for a bamboo fishing rod according to the present invention, Figure 3 is a perspective view illustrating a bamboo fishing rod assembled based on a manufacturing method according to the present invention, and Figure 4 is a cross sectional view illustrating a bamboo fishing rod taken along line A-A' of Figure 3 according to the present invention.
In the description of the present invention, reference numeral 10 is given to a bamboo rod formed by first cutting a bamboo as well as a bamboo rod manufactured in such a manner that bamboo pieces are engaged, with the inner skins of the bamboo pieces being removed with certain thickness. In addition, reference numeral 11 is given to a bamboo piece manufactured by first cutting g a bamboo rod in a longitudinal direction as well as a bamboo piece from which an inner skin is removed with a certain thickness. The manufacturing method of the bamboo fishing rod 1 according to the present invention is basically directed to manufacturing a bamboo fishing rod which is light and has a high elastic force and meets a user's aesthetic criteria. As shown in Figures 2 through 4, the manufacturing method for a bamboo fishing rod according to the present invention comprises a first step S 101 in which a bamboo is cut into multiple step bamboo rods 10 arranged and inserted into neighboring rods, a second step S103 in which the bamboo rods 10 are cut in longitudinal directions for thereby producing multiple bamboo pieces 11 , a third step S105 in which the inner skins of the bamboo pieces 11 are removed with regular thickness, and a fourth step S107 in which the bamboo pieces 11 , from which the inner skins are removed with regular thickness, are engaged with an adhesive 13 in a certain forming machine(not shown) for thereby manufacturing multiple step bamboo rods 10.
In the first step S101 of the manufacturing method of the bamboo fishing rod 1 according to the present invention, a bamboo is cut into multiple rods 10 with certain lengths, with the multiple rods 10 being arranged and inserted into neighboring rods. In the first step S101 , a mother material bamboo is cut, and the cut bamboo is dried and cut into multiple step bamboo rods 10 which can be arranged and inserted into neighboring rods. If necessary, the bent parts of the bamboo rods may be recovered in straight shapes, and the knobs of the bamboo may be flattened.
After the first step S101 is finished, the bamboo rods 10 are cut in longitudinal directions for thereby manufacturing multiple bamboo pieces 11 in the second step S103. After the second step S103 is finished, in the third step S105, the inner skins of the bamboo pieces 11 are removed with regular thickness. In the third step S105, the weight of the bamboo fishing rod 1 is minimized, so that the user of the fishing rod cannot feel fatigue even when he holds the fishing rod 1 for long time. With the bamboo pieces 11 from which the inner skins are removed with regular thickness, it is possible to overcome the problems that a proper elastic force is not obtained when the cylindrical bamboo rods 10 are directly used.
The bamboo fishing rod 1 becomes light and has a high elastic force through the second and third steps S103 and S105. After the third step S105 is finished, in the fourth step S107, the bamboo pieces 11 , from which the inner skins are removed with regular thickness, are bonded to manufacture the multiple step bamboo rods 10. In the fourth step S107, the bamboo pieces 11 are sequentially inserted into the rod shaped spaces of the forming machine, with the diameter of the space being adjustable. It is preferred that the adhesive 12 is inserted between the bamboo pieces 11 , and the bamboo pieces 11 are compressed.
The manufacturing method of the bamboo fishing rod 1 according to the present invention further includes a fifth step S109 after the fourth step is finished. In the fifth step S109, the bamboo rods 10 manufactured by bonding the bamboo pieces 11 are bound using a binding line 20. In the fifth step S109, the outer surfaces of the bamboo rods 10 are bound using a binding line such as a fishing line, a silk, etc. so that the engagement of the bamboo pieces 11 by the adhesive 12 is enhanced. The manufacturing method for the bamboo fishing rod 1 according to the present invention further includes a sixth step S111 after the fifth step S109 is finished, with the surface of the bamboo rods 10 being coated in the sixth step S111. As shown in Figure 4, in the sixth step S111 , a coating layer 30 is formed at the surfaces of the bamboo rods 10 bound using the binding line 15 through a japanning or paint spraying process, so that the surfaces of the bamboo rods 10 are protected. At this time, various patterns, logs, ad letters, etc. may be inserted into the surfaces of the bamboo rods 10 for thereby manufacturing a high quality bamboo fishing rod 1.
The manufacturing method of the bamboo fishing rod 1 according to the present invention further includes a seventh step S117 after the sixth step S111 is finished, with a handle 40 being formed in the seventh step S117. In the seventh step S113, the handle 40 may be formed in such a manner that the bamboo pieces 11 are bent and engaged to surround the outer surfaces of the bamboo rods 10 having the maximum diameters. The handle 40 may be formed in such a manner that a leather strap may be surrounded on the outer surface of the bamboo rods 10 having the maximum diameters. The handle 40 may be formed in such a manner that an elastic handle member formed in a rod shape using a synthetic resin is fixedly inserted onto the outer surfaces of the bamboo rods 10 having the maximum diameters.
Industrial Applicability
As described above, according to the manufacturing method for a bamboo fishing rod of the present invention, the inner skins of the bamboo pieces are removed with regular thickness and are combined to form the bamboo rod for thereby manufacturing a bamboo fishing rod, so that it is possible to decrease the total weight of the bamboo fishing rod, and the user does not feel fatigue even when the user holds the bamboo fishing rod for long time. In addition, the bamboo rod formed by cutting a bamboo is not directly used. Namely, the bamboo is cut into multiple parts in the longitudinal direction so as to manufacture the bamboo pieces. With the above construction, it is possible to significantly enhance the strength and elastic force as compared to the conventional bamboo fishing rod. Furthermore, the bamboo rods of each section are formed based on the engagement of the bamboo pieces, so that an outstanding outer appearance can be achieved, and it is possible to meet a user's aesthetic criteria.
As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.
