[0001] 本発明は小型な撮像装置に係り、具体的には内視鏡の対物光学系用のレンズに 可変絞り機構を設けて構成した撮像ユニットを有する、内視鏡用の撮像装置に関す る。
背景技術
[0002] 従来より、内視鏡は、医療分野等で広く利用されている。内視鏡は、例えば、体腔 内に細長な挿入部を挿入することによって、体腔内の臓器等を観察すること、必要に 応じて処置具挿通チャンネル内に処置具を挿入して各種処置をすることができる。内 視鏡は、挿入部の先端側に湾曲部を備え、操作部を操作することによって、観察方 向を変更させることができるようになってレ、る。
[0003] このような内視鏡、或いは、超小型カメラ等に用いられる撮像装置は、小型化の必 要性から 1つの焦点距離、いわゆる固定焦点を持つレンズ構成とされるが、可変絞り を備えている場合には、この可変絞りの開口量を小さくすることにより、フォーカス距 離を近距離側へと移動させることができるようになってレ、る。
[0004] 例えば、特開平 9— 318987号公報には、固定焦点となるように形成されたレンズ 部と、レンズ部からの光を絞るための回動部材を有する可変絞りと、レンズ部の前後 方向に移動させるための駆動手段とを有し、この駆動手段によって回動部材の回動 に連動して前記レンズ部を前後方向に進退移動させるようにした撮像装置に関する 技術が開示されている。
[0005] 従来の撮像装置では、可変絞りを用いると焦点位置が変わるので、十分な光学特 性を確保することが困難になる。この不具合に対応するため、撮像装置においては、 前記光学特性に対応した 2重焦点レンズ (多重焦点レンズともいう)を設けて焦点位 置を合わせる、又は、前記特開平 9 318987号公報の撮像装置に開示されている ようにレンズを移動させて焦点位置を合わせてレ、る。
[0006] し力しながら、前記特開平 9 318987号公報に記載されている撮像装置の技術
では、レンズを移動させるための駆動手段が必要であるため、撮像ユニット自体が大 きくなつてしまい、小型化、細径化が要求される小型の撮像装置には好ましくない。
[0007] また、可変絞りを形成する可変絞り機構は、各部材の強度が低ぐ且つ構造が複雑 である。このため、 2重焦点レンズを設けた撮像ユニット内に可変絞り機構を実装して 、十分な光学特性を得るためには、前記 2重焦点レンズに対して前記可変絞り機構 の精度を確保しながら位置決めを行う必要がある。この作業は、煩雑で、撮像装置を 容易に組み立てることを困難にする要因になっていた。
本発明は上記事情に鑑みてなされたもので、簡単な構成で、組立作業性が良好で 、可変絞り機構の精度を確保して、良好な光学特性を得られる小型の撮像装置を提 供することを目的としている。

図 1乃至図 9を参照して本発明の第 1実施例の撮像装置を説明する。尚、本実施例 では、本発明に係る撮像装置を内視鏡に用いた構成例を説明するが、本発明に係 る撮像装置は内視鏡用に限定されるものではなぐ小型カメラ等の撮像装置につい ても適用可能である。
[0012] 図 1に示すように撮像手段である撮像装置 1は、例えば内視鏡の内視鏡挿入部(以 下、挿入部と記載) 2を構成する、硬質の先端部 2A内に設けられている。
内視鏡は使用時において、図示しないビデオプロセッサ、光源装置、及びモニター 等の外部機器に接続されて、内視鏡システムとして構成される。内視鏡は、可撓性を 有する細長な揷入部 2と、この揷入部 2の基端側に接続された操作部(図示せず)と、 この操作部(図示せず)の側部から延出される図示しないユニバーサルコードとを備 えている。ユニバーサルコード内には、先端部 2A内に設けられた撮像装置 1から延 出する信号ケーブル 27、及び光源装置からの照明光を伝達する図示しないライトガ イドファイバ等が揷通されている。ユニバーサルコードの端部には、光源装置及びビ デォプロセッサと着脱可能な接続部分である図示しないコネクタ部が設けられている
[0013] 揷入部 2は、先端側から順に硬質の先端部 2Aと、この先端部 2Aの基端部に連設 する湾曲可能な図示しない湾曲部と、この湾曲部の基端部に連設する細長で可撓 性を有する図示しない可撓管部とを有して構成されている。
[0014] 挿入部 2内には、照明光を伝達するライトガイドファイバが挿通されている。ライトガ イドファイバは、操作部を介してユニバーサルコード内に挿通され、基端部が図示し ない光源装置のライトガイドコネクタに接続される。

図 1に示すように先端部 2A内には、撮像装置 1を構成する撮像ユニット 11が設けら れている。尚、撮像ユニット 11の具体的な構成は後述する。
先端部 2Aの先端側には先端カバー 3が設けられている。先端カバー 3は、例えば 樹脂部材で形成され、複数の孔部が形成された円柱部材 4の先端側に被覆して配 設されている。円柱部材 4の基端側には、湾曲部の最先端を構成する略環状の先端 湾曲駒 6が固定されている。
[0020] 円柱部材 4、及び先端湾曲駒 6の外周には、それらを覆うように外皮 5が被せられて いる。外皮 5の先端側は、接着部 5aによって先端部 2Aに固着されている。
[0021] 円柱部材 4に形成された複数の孔部のうち、図中に示す 1つの孔部は処置具チヤ ンネル 10の先端部分を形成し、他の 1つの孔部には撮像ユニット 11が配置される撮 像装置用孔部である。なお、図示しない孔部には照明ユニット、送気送水ノズルがそ れぞれ配置される。

尚、前記可変絞りユニット 30の具体的な構成については後述する。
撮像素子 23の受光面側には、第 4レンズ枠 15の最基端に保持されている第 4レン ズの基端側に並設されるカバーガラス 22が設けられている。撮像素子 23には回路 基板 24が接続されている。回路基板 24は、電気部品及び配線パターンを有し、撮 像素子 23の受光面に結像された光学像に対応する画像信号を生成し、その画像信 号を信号ケーブル 27に出力する。尚、回路基板 24には、信号ケーブル 27の備える 複数の信号線 25が半田附け等によって接続されている。
[0028] カバーガラス 22、撮像素子 23、回路基板 24の外周部及び信号ケーブル 27の先 端部分は、夫々絶縁封止樹脂などの封止部 12により一体的に覆われ、さらに、補強 用円環部 16及び絶縁チューブ 14Aにより被覆されている。絶縁チューブ 14Aは、撮 像ユニット 11の先端部の第 1のレンズ枠 13の基端側から信号ケーブル 27が揷通す る接続管 27Aの全長に渡って設けられて、第 4のレンズ枠 15、補強用円遠環部 16 等を被覆している。

本実施例では、図 2に示すように、可変絞り機構 31を構成する第 1の基板 33の出 射面側に固定部 35となる紫外線硬化樹脂部材を塗布し、その固定部 35上に 2重焦 点レンズ 19の入射面側を重ねるように配置して位置決めを行レ、、その後、紫外線を 照射して 2重焦点レンズ 19の入射面側を固定する。
[0038] 位置決めの際、可変絞り機構 31を構成する絞り羽根部 32の絞り開口径を最も小さ くして絞りを絞った状態、すなわち、絞り羽根部 32によって絞り径を図 2に示す絞り内 径 Φにした状態にして、可変レンズ絞り機構 31に対する 2重焦点レンズ 19の位置決 めを行う。
尚、 2重焦点レンズ 19の位置決めとは、絞り羽根部 32の絞り開口における長手方 向の中心軸〇と、 2重焦点レンズ 19 (凸レンズ部分)における焦点位置とを位置させ て 2重焦点レンズ 19の芯出しを行うための位置決めである。
[0039] 2重焦点レンズ 19の芯出しを行った後、図示しない紫外線出射装置により、図 2に 示すように、 2重焦点レンズ 19の出射面側の全域に紫外線を照射する。すると、固定 部 35を構成する紫外線硬化樹脂部材は、光重合反応を開始して硬化することにより 、第 1の基板 33上に 2重焦点レンズ 19が芯出しされた状態で固定される。こうして、 本実施例の可変絞りユニット 30を簡単に製造することができる。

図 4に示すように、第 1の基板 33には、最大の絞り開口径を形成する固定絞り開口 33aと、長穴 33bと、回動軸穴 33cと、固定軸穴 33dとが形成されている。長穴 33bは 駆動軸 38を摺動移動させるための穴であって、開口 34a側から外周方向に細長で 曲線形状に形成されている。回動軸穴 33cには、回動軸 39が配置される。固定軸穴 33dには固定軸 40が固定される。

円形部は、複数の変形部 57が変形を開始する変形開始端を示す変位線 58であり、 内周部が作用部になっている。そして、第 1のイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 51の変形部 57及び第 2のイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 52の変形部 57は、駆動時、撮像ユニット 11 Aの先端部方向、又は基端部方向に変位することになる。なお、第 1のイオン伝導ァ クチユエータ 51Aと同様の構成の第 2のイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 52Aの構成につ いては説明を省略する。

図 14に示す内視鏡の撮像ユニット 11Bにおいて、移動レンズ枠 50の対物レンズ 2 Oaが、基端側の対物レンズ 20bから最も離れた位置にある状態を初期状態とする。 撮像ユニット 11Bにおいて、初期状態は、 Tele位置である。

の移動範囲、言い換えれば Tele端位置から Wide端位置までの距離力 従来の移動 範囲よりも大きくなるので、ズーミング性能を向上させることができる。

[0119] さらに、本実施例においては、イオン伝導ァクチユエータ 51、 52の駆動制御と、可 変絞りユニット 30Aの可変絞り制御とを連動させているので、前記実施例 1と同様な 効果が得られる他に、イオン伝導ァクチユエータを用いたズーミング機構を有する場 合においても、従来よりもイオン伝導ァクチユエータの変位量を大きくして、移動レン ズ枠の移動範囲も大きくすることができる。したがって、ズーミング性能の向上に寄与 できるとレ、つた 果も得られる。

[0133] 実施例 3の撮像装置 1では、可変絞りユニット 30Aと、ズーミング機構とを構成する イオン伝導ァクチユエータ 51、 52を用いて、可変絞り機能、及びズーミング機能を得 ていた。これに対して、図 19及び図 20に示す撮像ユニット 11Dでは、 1つのイオン伝 導ァクチユエータ 70によって、可変絞り機能とズーミング機能とを得る構成になって いる。
[0134] 図 19に示すように本実施例の撮像ユニット 11Dは、第 1レンズ枠 13に保持された、 第 1レンズ群 18の後方に設けられた、固定絞り 63を有している。この固定絞り 63の出 射面側には、開口径が変形によって自在に変えることが可能な絞り機能付きイオン 伝導ァクチユエータ 70の外周部が固定されている。
[0135] 絞り機能付きイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 70は、絞り開口となる開口 70aを有している 。開口 70aの開口径は、例えば、図 20に示すように、最小の開口径 Φ、又は、この開 口径 Φよりも大きな開口径 Φ 1、又は、この開口径よりも大きな最大の開口径 Φ 2に変 化する変形特性を備えている。そして、絞り機能付きイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 70は 、供給される駆動用信号の電流値を変えることによって、電流値に応じて開口径が前 述したように変化するようになっている。
[0136] 開口径を変化可能にするため、絞り機能付きイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 70は、開口 70aの中心軸から外周方向に向かって形成された図示しない例えば 3つの切り欠き を備えている。 3つの切り欠きを形成したことによって、イオン伝導ァクチユエータ 70 は、内周部を作用部とする可変絞り変形部を構成する。この結果、図 20に示すように 、絞りの開口径を変化させることが可能な絞り機能付きイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 70 を実現できる。
[0137] 図 19に示すように撮像ユニット 11Dには移動レンズ枠 50が配設されている。移動 レンズ枠 50には、絞り機能付きイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 70の駆動時に、可変絞り 変形部の作用部が接触するように、対物レンズ 20aが保持されている。
[0138] この構成によれば、絞り機能付きイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 70を駆動させて可変絞
り変形部を変形させることによって、この可変絞り変形部の押圧力によって移動レン ズ枠 50図 19の矢印 B方向に移動させることが可能である。なお、符号 71はスプリン グである。スプリング 71は、移動レンズ枠 50の基端側で、第 3レンズ枠 14の先端部分 に設けられている。移動レンズ枠 50は、スプリング 71の付勢力によって、撮像ュニッ ト 11Dの Tele端位置へ移動させることができるようになつている。
[0139] したがって、移動レンズ枠 50を Tele端位置に戻す場合には、絞り機能付きイオン 伝導ァクチユエータ 70の駆動を停止する。すると、移動レンズ枠 50の基端側の第 3 レンズ枠 14の先端部分に設けられたばね部材 71の付勢力によって、移動レンズ枠 5 0が撮像ユニット 11Dの先端部方向へ移動されて、 Tele端位置に配置される。
[0140] このように、撮像ユニット 11Dによれば、可変絞りユニット 30、及び複雑なズーミング 機構を設けることなぐ絞り機能付きイオン伝導ァクチユエータ 70のみで可変絞り機 能、及びズーミング機能を有する撮像装置 1を実現できる。このことにより、撮像装置 1のコスト低減、及び小型化に大きく寄与する。
[0141] なお、本発明は、以上述べた実施形態のみに限定されるものではなぐ発明の要 旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変形実施可能である。

Claims
[1] 複数のレンズと、絞り開口径を可変可能にする可変絞り機構とを備えて構成される レンズユニットを有する撮像装置において、
前記レンズユニットに、前記可変絞り機構と、前記レンズユニットの備える 1つのレン ズとを固定部によって一体に構成した可変絞りユニットを備えることを特徴とする撮像 装置。
[2] 前記可変絞りユニットは、
前記可変絞り機構の絞りの開口径を絞った状態において、前記レンズの光軸と前 記絞り開口径の中心軸とを一致させる位置決めを行い、その位置決め状態で前記固 定部によって前記可変絞り機構と前記レンズとを固定して構成されることを特徴とす る請求項 1に記載の撮像装置。
[3] 前記可変絞り機構は、前記絞り開口径を可変するイオン伝導ァクチユエータを有す ることを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の撮像装置。
[4] 前記可変絞り機構を固定する前記レンズは、 2重焦点レンズであることを特徴とする 請求項 1又は請求項 2に記載の撮像装置。
[5] 前記可変絞り機構は、前記イオン伝導ァクチユエータによって回動動作される、絞り 開口を有する絞り羽根部を備えることを特徴とする請求項 3に記載の撮像装置。
[6] 前記可変絞り機構は、前記イオン伝導ァクチユエータによって回動動作される、半 円弧形状の絞り開口を有する一対の絞り羽根部を備えることを特徴とする請求項 3に 記載の撮像装置。
[7] 複数のレンズを備えて構成され、前記複数のレンズのうち少なくとも 1つのレンズを 光軸方向に対して移動自在に保持する移動レンズ枠を備えるレンズユニットと、 前記レンズユニットに設けられた移動レンズ枠を移動させるイオン伝導ァクチユエ一 タを有するズーム機構と、
を具備することを特徴とする撮像装置。
[8] 前記イオン伝導ァクチユエータは、環状板体であって、板体の表面及び裏面にそ れぞれ電気的に接続される信号ケーブルに通電することによって変形する特性を有 し、
前記移動レンズ枠は、通電による変形によって光軸方向に移動することを特徴とす る請求項 7に記載の撮像装置。
[9] 前記レンズユニットは、
前記移動レンズ枠の前方側に配置され、前記移動レンズ枠をレンズユニット基端側 方向に移動させる第 1のイオン伝導ァクチユエータと、
前記移動レンズ枠の後方側に配置され、前記移動レンズ枠をレンズユニット先端側 方向に移動させる第 2のイオン伝導ァクチユエータと、
を具備することを特徴とする請求項 7に記載の撮像装置。
[10] 前記第 1のイオン伝導ァクチユエータと、前記第 2のイオンァクチユエータとに流れ る駆動電流の極性を反転させる切換スィッチを備え、
前記第 1のイオン伝導ァクチユエータと、前記第 2のイオンァクチユエ一タとは前記 切換スィッチによって、それぞれのイオン伝導ァクチユエータに流れる駆動電流の極 性が反転されることにより、前記移動レンズ枠を基端側方向、又は先端側方向に移 動させることを特徴とする請求項 9に記載の撮像装置。
[11] 前記第 1のイオン伝導ァクチユエータ及び前記第 2のイオン伝導ァクチユエータは、 中央に開口部を有する環状板体であって、
それぞれのイオン伝導ァクチユエータの外周部力 前記移動レンズ枠を移動自在 に保持するレンズ枠に固定されることを特徴とする請求項 10に記載の撮像装置。
[12] 前記第 1のイオン伝導ァクチユエータ及び前記第 2のイオン伝導ァクチユエータの 支点位置は、前記移動レンズ枠に配置されたレンズの外径よりも外側に位置すること を特徴とする請求項 12に記載の撮像装置。
[13] 前記第 1のイオン伝導ァクチユエータ及び前記第 2のイオン伝導ァクチユエータは、 中央に開口部を有する環状板体状であって、
それぞれのイオン伝導ァクチユエータの開口近傍が前記移動レンズ枠、又は前記 移動レンズ枠に保持されたレンズに固定されることを特徴とする請求項 10に記載の 撮像装置。
[14] 複数のレンズを備えて構成されたレンズユニットの絞りの開口径を可変可能にする イオン伝導ァクチユエータを備えて構成される可変絞り機構を有する可変絞りュニッ
トと、
前記レンズユニットに設けられた光軸方向に移動自在な移動レンズ枠を移動させる イオン伝導ァクチユエータを有するズーム機構と、
を具備することを特徴とする撮像装置。
[15] 複数のレンズを備えて構成されたレンズユニットに設けられ、少なくとも 1つのレンズ を光軸方向に対して移動自在に保持する移動レンズ枠と、
前記レンズユニット内に設けられ、前記移動レンズ枠を移動させるイオン伝導ァクチ ユエータを有するズーム機構と、を有し、
前記イオン伝導ァクチユエータは、中央部に前記レンズの絞りの開口径を可変可能 な開口部を有し、この開口部の可変状態の変化に連動して前記移動レンズを前記光 軸方向に移動させることを特徴とする撮像装置。
[16] 前記イオン伝導ァクチユエータは、
電気的に接続された信号ケーブルを介して通電されることによって変形する特性を 有し、この通電による変形によって前記開口部の開口径を可変させることを特徴とす る請求項 15に記載の撮像装置。
