Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the general art of sport bags and in particular to the field of golf bags. More particularly, the invention relates to a golf bag which allows stick and club access via the side of a bag and which allows exposure of an internal stand which receives and retains golf clubs via lateral loading .
  • the invention provides an alternative to the top loading golf bags and allows a player to load a golf bag during play without having to upturn a club and load via its handle.
  • a golf bag will comprise a wall defining an inner receptacle and various pockets on the exterior of the wall.
  • Players always load a golf bag with clubs handle first through an opening in the top of the bag. This causes the club head to protrude above a top rim of the bag and the club handles to engage the bottom of the bag. Thus the clubs an; loaded into the bag upside down.
  • Known golf bags essentially comprise a bag-type container that accommodates the clubs and at least one further insertable accessory, in which the clubs are disposed in recesses that are distributed around and within the circumference, thereby forming a center cavity.
