[0001] 本発明は、電源装置に関するものであり、特に、直流電圧をスイッチングにより昇圧 する電源装置に関するものである。
背景技術
[0002] 直流電圧をスイッチングにより昇圧する型の従来技術にかかる電源装置として、例 えば下記特許文献 1が存在する。この電源装置(同文献では「電源システム」と称さ れる)は、第 1の電源と、第 1の電源から出力された電圧を変換する電圧変換器と、電 圧変換器からの電圧が印加される第 2の電源と、電圧変換器および/または第 2の 電源から電圧を受ける電気負荷系と、電圧変 カゝら出力される出力電流が通常動 作時の電流値よりも低下した第 iの状態力も回復する第 2の状態に移行したとき、電 圧変 カゝら出力される出力電圧を少なくとも所定期間高くするように電圧変 を 制御する制御装置と、を備えるように構成されている。

発明が解決しょうとする課題
[0005] 上記特許文献 1に示された電源システムは、簡単な回路構成で入力よりも高い電 圧を得ることができるものの、昇圧回路を構成するスイッチング素子やダイオードに加 わる電圧は、出力電圧の最大電圧が印加されることになる。もし、入力電圧や出力電 圧が高くなれば、スイッチング素子やダイオードに要求される電圧 (定格電圧)が高く なるので、この要求に耐え得る高耐圧の素子を使用する必要があった。
[0006] し力しながら、高耐圧の素子は、スイッチング特性に劣って 、るので、このような高 耐圧のスイッチング素子を使用した場合には、損失が増大するという問題点があった 。また、昇圧回路の入力側かつ正負の直流母線間に挿入されるコンデンサや、昇圧 回路の出力側かつ正負の直流母線間に挿入されるコンデンサにおいても、高耐圧 のものを使用する必要があり、部品が大型化するといった問題点もあった。

課題を解決するための手段
[0008] 上述した課題を解決し、目的を達成するため、本発明にかかる電源装置は、入力 端に接続される直流電源の出力を昇圧して出力端に接続される負荷に所定の直流 出力を供給する電源装置において、入力コンデンサ、リアタトル、ダイオード、スイツ チ素子および出力コンデンサをそれぞれ具備して構成される第 1、第 2の昇圧回路を 有し、該第 1、第 2の昇圧回路の各リアタトル同士が磁気的に結合されるように構成さ れるとともに、該第 1の昇圧回路の入力コンデンサと該第 2の昇圧回路の入力コンデ ンサとを直列に接続した一対の入力コンデンサの各両端を入力端とし、該第 1の昇圧 回路の出力コンデンサと該第 2の昇圧回路の出力コンデンサとを直列に接続した一 対の出力コンデンサの各両端を出力端とし、該出力コンデンサ同士の接続端を中間 電圧端として構成される昇圧回路と、前記昇圧回路を制御する制御回路と、前記第 1 、第 2の昇圧回路の各入力コンデンサおよび各出力コンデンサの両端電圧、または、 前記一対の入力コンデンサおよび前記一対の出力コンデンサの両端電圧のうちのい ずれ力の両端電圧を直接的または間接的に計測する電圧計測手段と、を備え、前記 制御回路は、前記電圧計測手段の計測結果に基づいて前記第 1、第 2の昇圧回路 の各スィッチ素子を同時にオン Zオフ制御することを特徴とする。
発明の効果

[0012] 以下に、本発明にかかる電源装置の好適な実施の形態を図面に基づいて詳細に 説明する。なお、以下の実施の形態により本発明が限定されるものではない。また、 以下に示す回路構成は、その一例を示すものであり、本発明の技術的意義を逸脱し な 、範囲内で種々の変形が可能である。

図 1は、本発明の実施の形態 1にかかる電源装置の回路構成を示す図である。同 図において、電源装置は、昇圧回路 1と、昇圧回路 1の直流入力端 11, 12に接続さ れる、例えば太陽電池、燃料電池である直流電源 3と、昇圧回路 1を制御する制御回 路 5と、を備えて構成される。なお、図 1の回路構成では、直流電源 3の出力の供給 対象である負荷 R1を昇圧回路 1の出力端 13と中間電圧端 15との間に接続するとと もに、負荷 R2を昇圧回路 1の出力端 14と中間電圧端 15との間に接続する態様を示 している。 [0014] つぎに、図 1に示した電源装置を構成する昇圧回路の構成について説明する。同 図に示す昇圧回路 1は、コンデンサ Cl、リアタトル Ll、ダイオード Dl、スィッチ素子 S

[0025] 上述のように、この実施の形態の電源装置では、電源装置を構成する各素子への 印加電圧を、入力電圧および Zまたは出力電圧の約半分にすることができるので、 高い入力電圧および出力電圧に対応できる回路を構成することができる。その結果 、スィッチ素子、ダイオードおよびコンデンサとして耐電圧の低いもの(汎用的なもの) が使用可能となるとともに、小型かつスイッチング特性が良好なスィッチ素子、ダイォ ードが使用可能となるので、電源装置における変換効率を高めることができる。また、 コンデンサの耐電圧も小さくてよいことから回路を小型化することができる。さらに、リ ァクトル LI, L2を磁気的に結合させることで、第 1,第 2の昇圧回路に印加される電 圧を等しくすることができるとともに、相互インダクタンスの効果によりリアタトル LI, L2 全体でのインダクタンス値を大きくすることができるので、リアタトル LI, L2を小型化 かつ高効率ィ匕することができる。

第 1の制御期間では、上述のようにスィッチ素子 S1がオン、スィッチ素子 S2がオン とされる。このとき、直流電源 3からリアタトル Ll、スィッチ素子 SI,スィッチ素子 S2、 リアタトル L2の経路で閉回路が構成され、直流電源 3の電圧がリアタトル L1とリアタト ル L2との直列回路に印加される。上述のように、リアタトル LI, L2はトランスとして動 作する。また、リアタトル LI, L2の直列回路でのインダクタンス値 Ltは、

であり、直流電源 3の電圧 Eとこのインダクタンス Ltで決まる右上がりの電流値が流 れる(図 4の、 IL1, IL2参照)。この間、直流電源 3のエネルギーは、電流としてリアク トル LI, L2にそれぞれ蓄積される。

第 2の制御期間では、上述のようにスィッチ素子 S1がオン力もオフに制御される一 方で、スィッチ素子 S2のオンは維持される。このとき、リアタトル L1の両端電圧は、 D 1側が +となり電流 IL1はコンデンサ C3を充電しながら減少する。一方、リアタトル L2 の両端電圧は、 D2側が +のままで変化しないため電流 IL2は上昇する。

第 3の制御期間では、上述のようにスィッチ素子 S2のオフは維持される一方で、ス イッチ素子 S2がオン力もオフに制御される。このとき、リアタトル L2の両端電圧は、 D 1側が—となり電流 IL2はコンデンサ C4を充電しながら減少する。すなわち、この状 態では、電流 IL1, IL2の双方がコンデンサ C3, C4を充電しながら減少する。

図 5は、本発明の実施の形態 3にかかる電源装置の回路構成を示す図である。同 図に示す電源装置は、図 1または図 3に示した電源装置の出力端 13, 14および中 間電圧端 15に、入力端 17, 18および中間電圧端 19ならびに出力端 21, 22を有す る 3レベルインバータ 2を接続したことを特徴とする。なお、図 5の回路構成では、直 流電源 3の出力を電源装置を構成する昇圧回路 1の入力端 11, 12に接続するととも に、電源装置を構成する 3レベルインバータ 2の出力端 21, 22に、例えば系統連系 するための系統電源 4を接続する態様を示している。

[0043] インバータ回路では、昇圧回路 1の出力端 13と自身の入力端 17とが接続される直 流母線 31に、昇圧回路 1 (入力端 17)に近い側から、 IGBTなどのスィッチ素子にダ ィオードが逆並列に接続されたスィッチ素子 S3, S4が挿入される。同様に、昇圧回 路 1の出力端 14と自身の入力端 18とが接続される直流母線 33に、昇圧回路 1 (入力 端 18)に近い側から、 IGBTなどのスィッチ素子にダイオードが逆並列に接続された スィッチ素子 S5, S6力挿入される。また、インバータ回路の内部において、ダイォー ド D3は、直流母線 31と中間電位線 32との間の電圧をクランプするように、そのカソ ードがスィッチ素子 S3とスィッチ素子 S4との接続点に接続され、そのアノードが中間 電位線 32に接続される。同様に、ダイオード D4は、直流母線 33と中間電位線 32と の間の電圧をクランプするように、そのアノードがスィッチ素子 S5とスィッチ素子 S6と の接続点に接続され、その力ソードが中間電位線 32に接続される。 [0044] また、ローパスフィルタでは、 3レベルインバータ 2の出力端 21, 22に対してコンデ ンサ C5が並列に接続され、コンデンサ C5の一端にインダクタ L3の一端が接続され、 その他端は、スィッチ素子 S4とスィッチ素子 S6との接続点に接続される。

[0046] 図 6において、スィッチ素子 S4を常時オン、スィッチ素子 S5を常時オフとし、スイツ チ素子 S3をスイッチング制御することにより、スィッチ素子 S3, S4がオンの期間には 、コンデンサ C3からスィッチ素子 S3, S4、インダクタ L3、コンデンサ C5、コンデンサ C3の経路で閉回路が構成され、出力端 21が正極性となるような電圧の場合、すな わち 3レベルインバータの出力電流が出力端力も流出する方向のとき(以下このよう な状態を「インバータ正出力」という)がコンデンサ C3から系統電源 4に対して供給さ れる。また、図 6に示すように、スィッチ素子 S3とスィッチ素子 S6とを交互に、かつ、 それらのオン時比率を可変制御(PWM制御)することで、系統電源 4の電圧波形 (系 統電圧 (U)参照)に連系させた電圧波形を出力することができる。
[0047] 同様に、スィッチ素子 S6を常時オン、スィッチ素子 S3を常時オフとし、スィッチ素子 S5をスイッチング制御することにより、スィッチ素子 S5, S6がオンの期間には、コン デンサ C4からコンデンサ C5、インダクタ L3、スィッチ素子 S6, S5、コンデンサ C4の 経路で閉回路が構成され、出力端 21が負極性となるような電圧、すなわち 3レベルィ ンバータの出力電流が出力端に流入する方向のとき(以下このような状態を「インバ ータ負出力」という)がコンデンサ C4から系統電源 4に対して供給される。また、図 6 に示すように、スィッチ素子 S4とスィッチ素子 S5とを交互に、かつ、それらのオン時 比率を可変制御 (PWM制御)することで、系統電源 4の電圧波形 (系統電圧 (U)参 照)に連系させた電圧波形を出力することができる。
[0048] 上述のように構成されたこの実施の形態の電源装置では、昇圧回路 1から正負の ほぼ等しい電圧を得ることができ、 3レベルインバータ 2を動作するのに必要な正負の 電源を得ることが可能となる。また、コンデンサ C3, C4、スィッチ素子 S3〜S6、ダイ オード D3, D4の各素子に要求される耐電圧は、系統電源 4の片側振幅値に必要な 電圧で充分となるので、高速スイッチングが可能な損失の少な 、汎用的な素子を使 用することができ、電源装置の電力変換効率を高めることができる。
[0049] 以上説明したように、この実施の形態の電源装置によれば、昇圧回路の出力端お よび中間電圧端に 3レベルインバータの入力端を接続し、 3レベルインバータの出力 力 一パスフィルタを介して交流電源に接続可能となるように構成して 、るので、上 記実施の形態 1, 2の効果とともに、 3レベルインバータ 2を動作するのに必要な正負 の電源を得ることが可能となる。

図 7は、本発明の実施の形態 4にかかる電源装置の回路構成を示す図である。同 図に示す電源装置は、図 5に示した電源装置における昇圧回路として、コンデンサ C 1〜C4の各端子電圧の計測を可能とする図 3の昇圧回路を適用した構成とされてい る。なお、その他の構成については、図 5に示した実施の形態 3と同一または同等で あり、各構成部には同一符号を付して示し、それらの構成および接続に力かる詳細 な説明を省略する。
[0051] つぎに、図 7に示す電源装置の動作について図 7〜図 9を参照して説明する。なお 、図 8は、図 7に示した電源装置におけるインバータ正出力時の制御態様を示す図 であり、図 9は、図 7に示した電源装置におけるインバータ負出力時の制御態様を示 す図である。なお、回路の各要部における電圧または電流を表現する記号の意味は 実施の形態 1〜3で定義したものと同一であり、さらにこの実施の形態では、制御要 素に関して以下の記号を用いて定義する。
VS:直流電源 3の電圧 (VS=VC1 +VC2)
Vref: VC3および VC4の目標電圧
DS1:スィッチ素子 S1のオン時比率
DS2 :スィッチ素子 S2のオン時比率
[0052] まず、図 7に示す電源装置の制御態様の概要にっ 、て説明する。まず、インバータ 正出力時の場合には、第 1の昇圧回路 (正出力側の昇圧回路)の入力電圧および出 力電圧(すなわち VCl, VC3)に基づいてスィッチ素子 SI, S2のオン時比率が制御 される。一方、インバータ負出力時の場合には、第 2の昇圧回路 (負出力側の昇圧回 路)の入力電圧および出力電圧 (すなわち VC2, VC4)に基づいてスィッチ素子 S1 , S2のオン時比率が制御される。
[0053] つぎに、この制御態様について、さらに詳細に説明する。なお、これらの制御は、電 源装置に具備される制御回路 5によって具現される。
[0054] インバータ正出力時の場合には、図 8に基づく制御が行われる。同図において、ま ず、基本通流率 XIが計算される。この基本通流率 XIは、図示のように、

一方、 VC3の目標電圧 Vrefとコンデンサ C3の計測電圧 VC3との差分値に対して 、比例積分補償器 (PI)および制限器 (LIM)にて各所定の処理が施された制御値 X 2が計算される。この制御値 X2は、図示のように、

このとき、スィッチ素子 S1のオン時比率 DS1は、これらの制御値の加算値 (XI +Χ 2)に基づいて決定される。
[0055] ここで、(7)式、(8)式に基づいて行われる制御の意味するところは、つぎのとおり である。まず、制御値 Χ2が付与されないときには、基本通流率 XIに加算される制御 値が存在しないので、 DS1は基本通流率 XIに一致する。すなわち、スィッチ素子 S 1は、昇圧比で定められるオン時比率に基づいたスイッチング制御が行われる。一方 、コンデンサ C3の電圧が目標値を下回ったときは、制御値 Χ2が正値となり、 DS1は 大きくなる。その結果、実施の形態 2で説明したように、コンデンサ C3の電圧 VC3が 増大する方向に制御される。他方、コンデンサ C3の電圧が目標値を上回ったときに は、制御値 Χ2が負値となり、 DS1は小さくなつて、コンデンサ C3の電圧 VC3が減少 する方向に制御される。
[0056] 同様に、直流電源 3の電圧の半値 (VSZ2)とコンデンサ C1の計測電圧 VC1との 差分値に対して、比例積分補償器 (ΡΙ)および制限器 (LIM)にて各所定の処理が施 された制御値 Χ3が計算される。この制御値 Χ3は、図示のように、 X3= (VS/2) -VCl - -- (9)
で与えられる。
このとき、スィッチ素子 S2のオン時比率 DS2は、上記で計算された加算値 (XI +X 2)と(9)式で計算された制御値 X3とが加算された加算値 (XI +X2+X3)に基づ ヽ て決定される。
[0057] ここで、(7)式〜(9)式に基づ!/、て行われる制御の意味するところは、つぎのとおり である。まず、制御値 X2, X3が付与されないときには、基本通流率 XIに加算される 制御値が存在しないので、 DS2は基本通流率 XIに一致する。すなわち、スィッチ素 子 S2は、昇圧比で定められるオン時比率に基づ 、たスイッチング制御が行われる。 一方、コンデンサ C1の電圧が直流電源 3の電圧の半値 (VSZ2)を下回ったとき、す なわち、コンデンサ C1の電圧がコンデンサ C2の電圧を下回ったときには、制御値 X 3が正値となり、 DS2は大きくなる。その結果、実施の形態 2で説明したように、コンデ ンサ C1の電圧 VC1がコンデンサ C2の電圧 VC2よりも増大する方向に制御される。 他方、コンデンサ C1の電圧がコンデンサ C2の電圧を上回ったときには、制御値 X2 が負値となり、 DS2は小さくなつて、コンデンサ C1の電圧 VC1がコンデンサ C2の電 圧 VC2よりも減少する方向に制御される。
[0058] なお、インバータ負出力時の制御については、制御値 X2を計算する際の目標電 圧および計測電圧が、それぞれコンデンサ C4に対する目標電圧および計測電圧で あり、また、制御値 X3を計算する際の計測電圧が、コンデンサ C2に対する計測電圧 である点を除いて、図 8に示す内容と同等であり、詳細な説明を省略する。
[0059] 上記のような制御が行われる結果、インバータ正出力時の場合には、第 1の昇圧回 路の出力電圧 VC3が一定となるようにスィッチ素子 SI, S2の各オン時比率が制御さ れ、インバータ負出力時の場合には、第 2の昇圧回路の出力電圧 VC4が一定となる ようにスィッチ素子 SI, S2の各オン時比率が制御される。また、その際、コンデンサ CI, C2の各電圧 VCl, VC2がアンバランスになることが防止され、 VCl, VC2は等 しい電圧に保持される。
[0060] なお、 3レベルインバータを用いて系統に連系させる場合、 3レベルインバータから の供給出力が、系統周期の半サイクルごとに正側と負側力 交互に電流を出力する ように、電源装置はこの動作に同期していなければならない。一方、この実施の形態 の電源装置では、上述のように、コンデンサ C1〜C4の各計測電圧に基づいて、これ らのコンデンサに蓄積される電荷量を安定制御することができるので、 3レベルインバ ータを安定的に動作させることができる。
[0061] 以上説明したように、この実施の形態の電源装置によれば、 3レベルインバータの 出力電流が 3レベルインバータの出力端力 流出する方向のときには、直流電源の 正極側に接続される昇圧回路の入力コンデンサおよび出力コンデンサの各両端電 圧に基づいてスィッチ素子 SI, S 2のオン時比率を制御し、 3レベルインバータの出 力電流が 3レベルインバータの出力端に流入する方向のときには、直流電源の負極 側に接続される昇圧回路の入力コンデンサおよび出力コンデンサの各両端電圧に 基づいてスィッチ素子 SI, S2のオン時比率を制御するようにしているので、上記実 施の形態 1〜3の効果に加えて、 3レベルインバータを安定的に動作させることができ るという効果が得られる。
産業上の利用可能性
[0062] 以上のように、本発明に力かる電源装置は、直流電圧をスイッチングにより昇圧して 出力する電源装置に有用である。

Claims

請求の範囲
[1] 入力端に接続される直流電源の出力を昇圧して出力端に接続される負荷に所定 の直流出力を供給する電源装置において、
入力コンデンサ、リアタトル、ダイオード、スィッチ素子および出力コンデンサをそれ ぞれ具備して構成される第 1、第 2の昇圧回路を有し、該第 1、第 2の昇圧回路の各リ ァクトル同士が磁気的に結合されるように構成されるとともに、該第 1の昇圧回路の入 力コンデンサと該第 2の昇圧回路の入力コンデンサとを直列に接続した一対の入力 コンデンサの各両端を入力端とし、該第 1の昇圧回路の出力コンデンサと該第 2の昇 圧回路の出力コンデンサとを直列に接続した一対の出力コンデンサの各両端を出力 端とし、該出力コンデンサ同士の接続端を中間電圧端として構成される昇圧回路と、 前記昇圧回路を制御する制御回路と、
前記第 1、第 2の昇圧回路の各入力コンデンサおよび各出力コンデンサの両端電 圧、または、前記一対の入力コンデンサおよび前記一対の出力コンデンサの両端電 圧のうちのいずれかの両端電圧を直接的または間接的に計測する電圧計測手段と、 を備え、
前記制御回路は、前記電圧計測手段の計測結果に基づいて前記第 1、第 2の昇圧 回路の各スィッチ素子を同時にオン Zオフ制御することを特徴とする電源装置。
[2] 前記昇圧回路の出力端および中間電圧端に 3レベルインバータの入力端を接続し 、該 3レベルインバータの出力がローノ スフィルタを介して交流電源に接続可能とな るように構成されて 、ることを特徴とする請求項 1に記載の電源装置。
[3] 前記 3レベルインバータの出力電流が該 3レベルインバータの出力端力 流出する 方向のときには、前記第 1、第 2の昇圧回路のうち、前記直流電源の正極側に接続さ れる昇圧回路に具備される入力コンデンサおよび出力コンデンサの各両端電圧に基 づいて該第 1、第 2の昇圧回路にそれぞれ具備される各スィッチ素子のオン時比率を 制御し、
前記 3レベルインバータの出力電流が該 3レベルインバータの出力端に流入する方 向のときには、前記第 1、第 2の昇圧回路のうち、前記直流電源の負極側に接続され る昇圧回路に具備される入力コンデンサおよび出力コンデンサの各両端電圧に基づ いて該第 1、第 2の昇圧回路にそれぞれ具備される各スィッチ素子のオン時比率を制 御することを特徴とする請求項 2に記載の電源装置。
[4] 入力端に接続される直流電源の出力を昇圧して出力端に接続される負荷に所定 の直流出力を供給する電源装置において、
入力コンデンサ、リアタトル、ダイオード、スィッチ素子および出力コンデンサをそれ ぞれ具備して構成される第 1、第 2の昇圧回路を有し、該第 1、第 2の昇圧回路の各リ ァクトル同士が磁気的に結合されるように構成されるとともに、該第 1の昇圧回路の入 力コンデンサと該第 2の昇圧回路の入力コンデンサとを直列に接続した一対の入力 コンデンサの各両端を入力端とし、該第 1の昇圧回路の出力コンデンサと該第 2の昇 圧回路の出力コンデンサとを直列に接続した一対の出力コンデンサの各両端を出力 端とし、該出力コンデンサ同士の接続端を中間電圧端として構成される昇圧回路と、 前記昇圧回路を制御する制御回路と、
前記第 1、第 2の昇圧回路の各入力コンデンサおよび各出力コンデンサの両端電 圧を直接的または間接的に計測する電圧計測手段と、
を備え、
前記制御回路は、前記電圧計測手段の計測結果に基づいて前記第 1の昇圧回路 のスィッチ素子と前記第 2の昇圧回路のスィッチ素子とを異なるタイミングで動作させ ることを特徴とする電源装置。
[5] 前記昇圧回路の出力端および中間電圧端に 3レベルインバータの入力端を接続し 、該 3レベルインバータの出力がローノ スフィルタを介して交流電源に接続可能とな るように構成されて 、ることを特徴とする請求項 4に記載の電源装置。
[6] 前記 3レベルインバータの出力電流が該 3レベルインバータの出力端力 流出する 方向のときには、前記第 1、第 2の昇圧回路のうち、前記直流電源の正極側に接続さ れる昇圧回路に具備される入力コンデンサおよび出力コンデンサの各両端電圧に基 づいて該第 1、第 2の昇圧回路にそれぞれ具備される各スィッチ素子のオン時比率を 制御し、
前記 3レベルインバータの出力電流が該 3レベルインバータの出力端に流入する方 向のときには、前記第 1、第 2の昇圧回路のうち、前記直流電源の負極側に接続され る昇圧回路に具備される入力コンデンサおよび出力コンデンサの各両端電圧に基づ いて該第 1、第 2の昇圧回路にそれぞれ具備される各スィッチ素子のオン時比率を制 御することを特徴とする請求項 5に記載の電源装置。
