Abstract

L'invention concerne un outil de limage dentaire comportant un manche facile à tenir entre les doigts, qui est courbe et maintient à ses deux extrémités une mince bandelette de limage enduite d'un certain matériau abrasif superfin, en particulier mais non limité à une poussière de diamant, ou en variante un système de découpe tranchant le long du bord ou de la surface latérale. La bandelette est attachée entre chaque extrémité du manche par des ouvertures de type trous avec des fentes à chaque extrémité, avec une tension suffisante dans la bandelette pour créer une surface rigide de friction et de limage. Le manche est fait de matériaux pouvant être mis en forme, comme, sans y être limités, des plastiques injectés dans un moule avec lequel une bandelette de limage est insérée. Au bord extérieur de chaque bras vertical du manche se trouve une surface lisse et plate où placer les doigts pour tenir le manche. L'outil de limage dentaire est jetable lorsque le matériau abrasif de la bandelette de limage est usé.
