Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of biometric authentication/identification of a person that comprises the step of using a predictable time- variant first physiological characteristic for establishing consistency of a first reference point comprising a first timestamp and a first feature vector of the person being authenticated/identified with a model (Mi) of a reference person and authenticating/identifying the person as the reference person in dependence of the establishing, the first timestamp being the time of authentication/identification of the person, the first feature vector being a feature vector representative of the first physiological characteristic of the person at the first timestamp, the model (Mi) being a model of a feature vector representative of the first physiological characteristic of the reference person over time. The invention further relates to an apparatus and system for as biometric authentication/identification of a person.
