Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition à base d'alumine permettant notamment le piégeage des oxydes d'azote contenus dans un fluide gazeux. Cette composition est à base d'alumine, de cérium et d'un métal divalent M choisi dans le groupe comprenant le baryum, le strontium ou une association de ces deux éléments et elle est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend au moins 10% en poids de l'élément M exprimé en poids d'oxyde par rapport au poids total de la composition et en ce que le composé aluminate de l'élément métallique M de formule MAI2O4 est absent, c'est-à-dire que ce composé n'est pas détectable par diffraction des rayons X sur la composition, après calcination sous air de celle-ci à une température de 700 °C pendant 2 heures.
