  • Ventilation openings are usually covered with grille covers which enables partial or complete closure of ventilation openings. This solution will not prevent the return of odours from ventilation pipes. After detailed research of the Inventions Documents and Technical Literature from this field, a similar solution to this technical problem was not found.
  • This insert is intended for the prevention of the return of odours from shared ventilation pipes in multi floor buildings. By inserting a grille into the opening of the insert, entry of different kind of vermin is also prevented.
  • This insert is designed for an easy installation into ventilation openings, and it's rubber membrane opens easily by air that flows from the room into the ventilation pipe. As soon as the air flow stops the membrane closes the opening and air can not flow into the room. Any air pressure inside the ventilation pipes will push the membrane to sit more tightly inside the insert and prevent even more return of odours into the room.
  • Compact design of insert consists of two front and back rings firmly attached to the duct. Two clamps are fixed with screws to the front ring for easy installation to the wall of the opening.

  • Insert for prevention of return of odours from air ventilation installations is constructed from pipe 2, onto which front ring 3 is tightly fitted, and back ring 4.
  • Front ring 3 has two clamps 9 fitted diagonally to the inside of the ring 3 with screws, which enables insert to be fitted inside the duct 1. Inner edge of the front ring is bewelled to enable the insert to fit tightly against the wall.
  • Rubber membrane 5 is fitted to the pipe 2 hole toward the ventilation pipe 10, and has larger diameter than pipe 2.
  • Plastic lid 6 with diameter slightly smaller than pipe 2 is fitted to the membrane 5, which, when closed, tightly closes pipe 2, stopping the air to circulate from ventilation pipe 10 into the room.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un insert pour empêcher le retour d'odeurs à partir de tuyaux de ventilation d'air qui est agencé à l'intérieur d'un tuyau de ventilation en utilisant deux ressorts (9) qui sont vissés sur l'anneau avant (3). L'insert est compact et est constitué des anneaux avant (3) et arrière (4) agencés étroitement sur le tuyau (2). Une membrane de caoutchouc (5) est fixée à l'aide de vis en utilisant un raccord (7) à la partie supérieure de l'insert, et recouvre complètement le trou du tuyau (2), et présente un couvercle en plastique mince qui est collé sur celle-ci. Le diamètre de la membrane de caoutchouc (5) est supérieur au diamètre du tuyau (2), alors que le diamètre du couvercle en plastique (6) est inférieur au diamètre du tuyau (2), assurant ainsi une meilleure fermeture du trou du tuyau, ce qui empêche la circulation d'air en provenance du tuyau de ventilation (10) dans la pièce.
