Abstract

Ein Verfahren zum Betrieb einer UV - Lampe (8) umfassend folgende Schritte: - ein Umrichter (1) erzeugt eine bipolare Speisespannung, wobei Strom begrenzende Mittel (13) vorgesehen sind, - der Umrichter (1) wird vom Versorgungsnetz gespiesen und er erzeugt eine einstellbare bipolare Speisespannung, mit wählbarer einstellbarer Frequenz, beides durch eine elektronischen Steuerung (14) vorgebbar, - es wird ein Zündvorgang (B, D) an der Lampe (8) eingeleitet und die Zündüng (D) mit der Steuerung (14) überwacht, - nach der Zündung (D) folgt eine Einbrennphase (D, E), indem mindestens einer der Parameter: Temperatur, Spannung und Strom von der Steuerung (14) erfasst wird und die bipolare Speisespannung und / oder dessen Frequenz am Umrichter (1) derart einstellt wird, dass die Lampenparameter eingehalten werden, - danach wird die Lampensolleistung vorgegeben zur Erreichung der Betriebsbereitschaft (E, F) über Variieren der Frequenz oder der Spannung zur Einstellung der gewünschte Lampenleistung für die folgende Betriebsphase (G, H).
