ァクロレインの製造方法、およびグリセリン含有組成物
技術分野
[0001] 本発明は、生産性に優れ、かつ、固体酸触媒を用いるグリセリンの気相反応により ァクロレインを製造する方法、およびこの方法においても好適に使用できるグリセリン 含有組成物に関するものである。
背景技術
[0002] 植物油から製造されるバイオディーゼルは、化石燃料の代替燃料としてだけではな ぐ二酸化炭素の排出量が少ない点でも注目され、需要の増大が見込まれている。こ のバイオディーゼルを製造するとグリセリンが副生するため、その有効利用を図る必 要がある。グリセリンの利用の一態様としては、グリセリンをァクロレインの原料に使用 すること力 S挙げられる。
[0003] ァクロレインは、 1,3—プロパンジオール、 1,2—プロパンジオール、メチォニン、ァ クリル酸、 3—メチルプロピオンアルデヒド、吸水性樹脂等のァクロレイン誘導体の原 料として使用される有用な化合物である。特開平 06— 192147号公報には、グリセリ ンの脱水反応により得られたァクロレインを使用し、 1,3—プロパンジオールおよび 1, 2—プロパンジオールを製造することが開示されている。また、特開 2005— 213225 号公報には、グリセリンの気相脱水反応生成物を気相酸化することにより、アクリル酸 を製造することが開示されている。また、 WO2006/092272には、グリセリンからァ クロレインを得、このァクロレインを公知の気相酸化反応によりアクリル酸とし、さらに 公知の方法によりアクリル酸から吸水性樹脂を製造することが開示されている。

1S 特表第 2006— 521317号公報には、プロピレンの接触部分気相酸化によりァク ロレインを製造する方法が開示されている。この方法におけるプロピレンの触媒 1Lあ たりの供給量は 90〜; 160NLであり、この供給量を触媒 1Lあたりのグリセリン供給量 に換算すると 360 658g/hrである。
[0008] 上記各公報は、希薄なグリセリン水溶液を用いた気相反応を開示し、低濃度のダリ セリンと高濃度の水蒸気からなる原料ガスを用いることを示唆している力 グリセリン の供給量を一定にした場合に原料ガスのグリセリンガスの分圧が触媒の寿命に影響 することは記載されて!/、なレ、。
[0009] 固体触媒を用いた接触気相反応においてグリセリンの分圧を下げる場合、(a)ダリ セリンの分圧に応じてグリセリンの供給量を下げることで、触媒負荷を下げる方法と、 (b)グリセリンの供給量を変えること無く希釈ガス量を増やすことで、触媒負荷を一定 にしたまま全原料ガスの空間速度を高める方法とがある。前者の方法では、生成物 の選択性や触媒寿命が改善されることが推測されるが、後者の方法では、生成物の 選択性が改善されても、触媒負荷が一定なので触媒寿命改善への影響は少なぐむ しろグリセリンの転化率は低下する場合があると推測される。
[0010] ァクロレインの工業的生産を想定した場合、上記各文献で開示されているような希 薄なグリセリン水溶液を原料とする気相反応では、多量の水を蒸発させるのに大量の エネルギーを消費する。そして、 目的生成物であるァクロレインは水よりも低沸点(52 °C)であるために、原料を蒸発させた水蒸気と脱水反応により生成した水蒸気とを全 て凝縮させるためのエネルギーを更に消費する。その上、その凝縮で得られたァクロ レイン水溶液からァクロレインを取り出した後に、大量の排水処理が必要になる。従つ て、たとえ地球環境に優しいといわれる植物由来のグリセリンを原料として有用な化 合物であるァクロレインゃァクロレイン誘導体を製造したとしても、エネルギーの大量 消費と廃棄物の大量発生を伴うァクロレインの製造方法には、地球環境に配慮して V、るとは!/、レ、難!/、問題点がある。
[0011] また、ァクロレインの工業的生産を想定した場合、上記各公報に開示されているダリ セリンの供給量は少ないため、ァクロレインの生産性が悪い。従って、ァクロレイン製 造用装置が大きくなる課題があり、その生産性を高くすることが望まれる。
[0012] WO2006/087084には、常圧、気相、かつグリセリン濃度 50質量0 /0以下(反応 器入口の原料ガス中のグリセリン濃度 16モル%以下)の条件でァクロレインを製造す る方法が開示されている。この方法は、グリセリン水溶液を原料に使用し、グリセリンよ りも多量の水を反応器に供給するものである。
[0013] 特開 2005— 213225号公報には、グリセリンの気相脱水反応によりァクロレインを 製造し、ァクロレインの酸化反応によりアクリル酸を製造する方法が開示されている。 その気相脱水反応において、常圧'気相条件でグリセリンに添加される水の量は、 5 0質量%以下である。そして、反応器に供給される原料ガスには窒素などの不活性ガ スが加えられ、反応器入口における原料ガス中の不活性ガス濃度は 50モル%以上 、同原料ガス中のダリセリン濃度は 10〜; 14モル%である。
[0014] 「Le H.Dao, Reaction or Model Compounds of Biomass-Pyrolysis Oils uver ZSM-5 Zeolite Catalysts, American Chemical Society,1988,376,p.328- 341」には、グリセリン およびヘリウムガスを使用し、水を使用しないァクロレインの製造方法が開示されて いる。当該文献には、ァクロレインの収率についての明確な記載は無いが、ァクロレ インの収量は不十分である。
[0015] 一般的に、グリセリン濃度を高めればァクロレインの生産性の向上、およびァクロレ イン製造用反応器のサイズを小さくすることが可能である。これにより、固定費と、原 料の蒸発、原料の加熱、ァクロレインの分離精製などに要する変動費とを削減するこ とが見込まれ、グリセリン濃度を高めることにはグリセリン濃度を低くする場合に比べ て多くの利点があると予想される。 [0016] WO2006/087084,特開 2005— 213225号公報、 American Chemical Society に開示されてレ、る低濃度のグリセリンガスを使用する場合には、ァクロレインの低生 産性、反応器サイズが大きくなることによる設備費の増加などが懸念される。更に、 W 02006/087084および特開 2005— 213225号公幸 に示された低濃度のグリセ!; ン水溶液を使用する場合、多量の水を蒸発させるために多くのエネルギーが必要と なる上、得られたガス状生成物からのァクロレインの凝縮捕集に伴う多量の水蒸気凝 縮エネルギーが必要になってしまうことが問題となる。また、 American Chemical Socie tyに示されたヘリウムガス等の非凝縮ガスを使用した場合、ガス状生成物からァクロ レインを凝縮捕集する際にァクロレインが飛散し、ァクロレインを損失することも懸念さ れる。それらに加えてァクロレイン収率、触媒寿命の改善が望まれている。
[0017] なお、 WO2006/087084,特開 2005— 213225号公報、 American Chemical S ocietyには、減圧条件でグリセリンの気相脱水反応を行ったときの効果は記載されて いない。また、これらの文献には、ァクロレインの高収率化、ァクロレインの捕集効率 の向上、およびグリセリン濃度を高めても反応収率が低下することがない気相脱水反 応条件の記述および示唆がな!/、。
[0018] 上述の通り、ァクロレインの製造方法においてはエネルギー消費量の改善等が望 まれる。ァクロレインの製造において他の改善されるべき事項としては、活性が低下し た触媒の再生がある。 WO2006/087083には、触媒上に炭素上物質が蓄積する ことや触媒の経時的活性低下が開示されて!/、るが、活性が低下した触媒の再生条件 についは開示されておらず、グリセリンの気相脱水反応温度と触媒再生温度との関 係についての言及もない。
[0019] WO2006/087083には、(1)反応温度を下げるとグリセリンの転化率が低下する 力 Sァクロレインの選択性が向上すること、 (2)グリセリンと触媒との接触時間を長くする とグリセリンの転化率は向上するが、逐次反応および副生成物の生成を避けるため にはその接触時間の延長に限界があること、(3)接触時間の延長は、反応温度が低 い場合のグリセリンの転化率低下を補うための手段として有効であること、が記載され ているが、接触時間とァクロレインの収率の関係についての具体的開示はない。さら に、グリセリン供給量と反応条件との関係については何ら開示されておらず、実施例 において示されている供給量と反応条件でァクロレインを製造するとしても、この条件 で製造されるァクロレインの生産効率は工業的に不十分であるため、その条件を採 用する場合には大量の触媒と大型の反応装置が必要なる。つまり、経済的な観点か ら反応条件の改善が望まれる。
発明の開示
[0020] 本発明は、エネルギー消費量が少ない上に効率に優れ、かつ、地球環境を配慮し たァクロレインの製造方法を提供することを目的とする。また、本発明は、ァクロレイン の収率に優れ、触媒寿命が長いグリセリンの気相脱水反応によりァクロレインを製造 する方法を提供することも目的とする。
[0021] 本発明者らはグリセリンからのァクロレインの製造方法について鋭意検討した結果、 グリセリンの気相脱水反応において、原料ガス中のグリセリンガスの分圧を低くするこ とにより目的生成物であるァクロレインの収率が向上し、かつ触媒に接触させるグリセ リン量が同じであってもその触媒上に蓄積する炭素質物質の量がグリセリンガスの分 圧に比例し、その結果、特に触媒寿命に影響していることを見出した。つまり、触媒 負荷が同じグリセリンの気相脱水反応においては、グリセリンガスの分圧を下げれば 、ァクロレインの選択率が改善されるだけではなぐ触媒寿命が大幅に改善されること を見出した。この知見により本発明を完成させるに至った。
[0022] 本発明は、グリセリンガスを含有する原料ガスを反応器内の固体酸触媒に接触させ るァクロレインの製造方法であって、前記原料ガス中のグリセリンガスの分圧が 0. 01 〜30kPaであるァクロレインの製造方法である。この本発明に係る製法によれば、優 れたァクロレイン収率と触媒寿命を実現することができ、更には、環境負荷を小さくす るために必要なエネルギー消費量と廃水量の低減を実現できる。前記グリセリンガス の空間速度は、 70〜2400hr— 1であると好適である。
[0023] 触媒へのグリセリン負荷条件が実用的で、かつ収率を損なうことなくァクロレインを 製造するには、前記触媒 1Lあたりの前記グリセリンガス供給量が 300〜; 15000g/h r、かつ、ァクロレインを製造するための反応温度が 350〜460°Cであると良い。
[0024] 前記反応器入口における圧力が 90kPaを超える場合、前記触媒体積を 1秒あたり の前記原料ガス流量で除して算出される接触時間が 0. ;!〜 7. 2秒であると良い。こ の接触時間に設定するときの前記反応器入口における圧力は、 lOOkPa以上が好ま しい。
[0025] 常圧で、グリセリン濃度が高い原料ガスを使用した場合、グリセリン濃度が低い原料 ガスを使用した場合に比べて、ァクロレイン収率が低くなることがある。本発明者らは 、所定の減圧条件が選定されたグリセリンの気相脱水反応によれば、グリセリン濃度 が高い原料ガスを使用しても高収率でァクロレインを製造できると共に、触媒寿命を 改善できることを見出した。つまり、前記反応器の入口における圧力は、 IkPa以上 9 OkPa以下であると好適である。
[0026] 反応器入口における圧力を IkPa以上 90kPa以下にすれば、非凝縮性ガスおよび 凝縮性ガスから選択されたガスを原料ガスの希釈ガスとして使用しなくても、ァクロレ イン収率が低くなることを抑制できる。つまり、水の蒸発および液化のためのエネルギ 一浪費がない経済性と、反応器の小型化による設備費低減とが見込まれる。また、反 応器内における圧力損失の回避と、この圧力損失によるァクロレイン収率への影響 の回避とを期待できる。非凝縮性ガスを希釈ガスとして使用しない場合には、より容 易にァクロレインを凝縮捕集することが可能である。以上のことは、本発明において の希釈ガスの使用を制限する趣旨ではな!/、。非凝縮性ガスを希釈ガスとして使用す る場合には、前記反応器入口における原料ガス中の非凝縮性ガスの濃度が 10モル %以下であると良ぐ凝縮性ガスを希釈ガスとして使用する場合には、前記反応器入 口におけるグリセリンガス以外の凝縮性ガスの濃度が 60モル%以下であると良い。 例えば、水蒸気を希釈ガスとして使用することは、通常のグリセリンの脱水反応では 悪影響が生じる懸念がある力 S、 IkPa以上 90kPa以下の圧力範囲であれば、ァクロレ イン収率や触媒寿命などの面から望ましい。なお、圧力が IkPa以上 90kPa以下の 範囲外となる本発明に係るァクロレインの製造方法にお!/、も、水蒸気を希釈ガスとし て使用する場合もある。
[0027] 本発明においては、グリセリン蒸発器の温度を 285°C以下にして前記グリセリンガス を発生させると良い。グリセリン蒸発器でグリセリンガスを発生させ、ガス流量制御弁 を通じたグリセリンガスと希釈ガスとを混合して原料ガスを得る。その際、ガス流量制 御弁における圧力損失を無視することができないから、グリセリン蒸発器内は加圧さ れてグリセリンの沸点が上昇するため、実際の蒸発器の温度を 300°C以上にする必 要があると予想される。これに対して、反応器の入口における圧力を IkPa以上 90kP a以下に設定する場合、この圧力(減圧状態)の程度に応じてグリセリン蒸発器の温 度を低下させる事が可能となり、グリセリンを蒸発させる際のグリセリンの分解、重合な どの低減が見込まれる。
[0028] 本発明に係るァクロレインの製造方法においては、前記原料ガスが凝縮性ガスとし て水蒸気を含有し、かつ、該水蒸気の分圧が前記グリセリンガスの分圧の 5倍以下で あると好適である。
[0029] 反応器内への原料ガス供給の開始直後には、ァクロレイン収率が低ぐ安定しない 場合がある(以下、このァクロレイン収率が低ぐ安定しない期間を、「誘導期」と称す ること力 Sある。)。グリセリンから安定した収率でァクロレインが得られないと、ァクロレイ ンの収率が不安定となり好ましくな!/、。ァクロレインを経てァクロレイン誘導体を連続 的に製造する際に、ァクロレインの収率が不安定となることは、誘導体の製造工程へ のァクロレイン供給量が不安定になるため特に好ましくなレ、。ァクロレインを貯蔵する タンクを設ければ、誘導体製造工程へのァクロレイン供給量の変動を抑制できるが、 ァクロレインは非常に不安定な物質なので、その貯蔵時間を極力短くすることが望ま れる。そして、ァクロレインの収率が不安定であると、タンクへのァクロレイン貯蔵量を 多くする必要があるため、安定した収率でァクロレインを製造することが望まれる。
[0030] 本発明者らは、原料ガスに脂肪酸および/または脂肪酸エステルを所定量含ませ れば、上記誘導期を短縮できることを見出した。つまり、前記原料ガスとして、脂肪酸 および/または脂肪酸エステルを含有し、前記脂肪酸および脂肪酸エステルの総質 量が前記グリセリンガスに対して 0. 00;!〜 5質量%であるものを使用すれば、ァクロ レインの収率を安定かつ高くすることができる。

[0035] 再生工程 (2)では、ァクロレイン製造工程 (1)において固体酸触媒上に蓄積した炭素 質物質が除去される。ァクロレイン製造工程 (1)と再生工程 (2)とを繰り返してァクロレイ ンを製造する際に工程 (1)と (2)の間の温度差が大きいと、各工程 (1)の温度調整のた めの時間やエネルギーの損失が大きくなるために経済的に好ましくない。そこで、ァ クロレイン製造工程 (1)の反応温度を 300°C以上にしたところ、予想外なことに、ァクロ レインの収率が向上することが判明した。つまり、ァクロレイン製造工程 (1)におけるグ リセリンの脱水反応温度を 300°C以上とすることにより、(1)ァクロレイン製造工程 (1) の温度と再生工程 (2)の温度との差が小さくなるので、工程 (1)と工程 (2)との間におけ る時間およびエネルギーの損失が少なくなつてァクロレインを経済的に製造でき、 (2 )グリセリンの脱水反応温度が 300°C以上なので、ァクロレイン収率が良好となる。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0041] 本実施形態に係るァクロレインの製造方法は、反応器内でグリセリンガスを含んだ 原料ガスと触媒とを接触させる気相脱水反応によりァクロレインを製造するものである 。固定床反応器、移動床反応器、流動床反応器等から任意に選択した反応器を使 用することができ、簡便にァクロレインを製造できる固定床反応器を使用することが好 ましい。
[0042] 本実施形態のァクロレインの製造における気相脱水反応温度(以下において、「気 相脱水反応温度」を「T1」と称することがある)は、通常、反応器の温度制御のための 熱媒等の設定温度を指す。当該温度は、触媒の活性変化および反応条件の変更に 伴い、適宜変更されても良い。その温度は、 200〜500°Cであると良く、 250〜500 。Cカ好まし <、 300〜450。Cカより好まし <、 330〜440。Cカ更に好まし <、 350-42 0°Cがより更に好ましぐ 350〜400°Cが最も好ましい。反応温度が低いと、グリセリン の転化率が低くなりァクロレインの生産量が実質的に低下すると共に、未転化のダリ セリンを回収するための装置が必要になるため好ましくない。また、反応温度が高す ぎると、ァクロレインの収率が大幅に低下するので好ましくなレ、。

[0049] グリセリンガスの分圧は、 30kPa以下であると良ぐ好ましくは 25kPa以下、より好ま しくは 20kPa以下、更に好ましくは 15kPa以下である。この分圧は低いほうが好まし いが、分圧を低くし且つ一定のァクロレインの生産性を確保するためには、(A)反応 におけるガスの全圧を下げる、(B)グリセリン以外の希釈ガスを大量に同伴させる、等 の方法が必要となる。工業的観点から鑑みると、前記 (A)の方法においては、気密 性が高ぐかつ、減圧に耐えうる反応装置や大型の減圧装置が必要となり、前記 (B) の方法においては、生成したァクロレインの捕集コストの増カロ、希釈ガスの大量使用 のためのコスト増加、および圧力損失の増大に伴う動力費の増加が問題となる。よつ て、グリセリンガスの分圧は、工業的観点から、 0. OlkPa以上が好ましぐ 1. OkPa 以上がより好ましぐ 2. OkPa以上が更に好ましい。
[0050] 上記の「グリセリンガスの分圧」とは、反応器の入口における原料ガス中のグリセリン ガスの分圧である。例えば、原料ガス中のグリセリンガスのモル濃度が 100%であれ ば、グリセリンガスの分圧は反応器入口における原料ガスの圧力である。また、グリセ リン以外の成分が原料ガスに含まれている場合には、反応器入口における原料ガス 中のグリセリンガスのモル濃度(モル%)に、反応器入口における原料ガスの全圧力 を掛けることにより算出される値である。

一方で、グリセリンガスの上限 は、 3650hr— 1であると良い。但し、グリセリンガスの GHSVが高い場合には、反応器 を小型化できる反面、固体酸触媒の活性低下が早くなるために触媒再生を頻繁に実 施する必要が生じる。そのため、反応器の小型化および固体酸触媒の活性のバラン スと、経済性とを考慮したグリセリンガスの GHSVは、 2400hr— 1以下が通常であり、 1 SOOhr—1以下が好ましぐ 600hr— 1以下がより好ましい。

[0081] ァクロレイン製造工程 (1)で触媒に蓄積した炭素質物質を完全に除去するためには 、 Tmを 300°C以上に設定する必要がある。 Tmは、 330°C以上が好ましぐ 350°C以 上がより好ましい。 Tmが 300°C以下であると、炭素質物質除去が不十分になるため 、触媒活性の回復不十分、触媒活性の早期低下等の問題が生じる場合がある。触 媒の熱的劣化が生じない温度であれば Tmを高く設定しても良いが、ァクロレイン製 造工程 (1)と再生工程 (2)の度に反応器の温度を変更するのは、昇温のためのエネノレ ギー損失が発生するば力、りでなぐ昇温および降温するための時間が必要になるた め、経済的に好ましくない。従って、再生工程 (2)の温度は、触媒の再生が可能であり 、かつグリセリンの脱水反応温度と出来るだけ近い温度が好ましい。
[0082] 酸素を再生用ガスの酸化性ガスとして用いる場合には、空気を用いるのが安価で ある。この再生用ガスは、窒素、二酸化炭素、水蒸気等の不活性ガスで希釈されたも のであっても良い。特に、触媒に空気を接触させると急激な発熱が懸念される場合に は、不活性ガスで再生用ガス中の酸素濃度を調整することが推奨される。なお、反応 器内に再生用ガスを流通させる前に、窒素、水蒸気等の非酸化性ガスを反応器内に 流通させ、反応器内に残存する有機物を追い出す等の処理を行っても良レ、。

石肖酸 ノレミニクム 9水禾ロ物 160gとイオン交換水 800gとの溶 ί夜に、 85質量0 /0才ノレト リン酸 49gを混合した。この混合溶液に、約 50分間かけて、 28質量%アンモニア水 9 6. 7gを滴下した後(当該滴下当初から、白色の沈殿物が生じた)、混合液を 1時間 撹拌した。次に、吸引濾過により混合液力も分離した固形物(沈殿物)を洗浄した。洗 浄は、固形物とイオン交換水 800gとを混合した後、これを 1時間撹拌し、次に 1時間 静置した後、吸引濾過により固形分を分離した。前記洗浄操作を 3回繰り返した固形 物を、 120°C、空気雰囲気の条件でー晚乾燥した後、 1200°C、 3時間、空気雰囲気 の条件で焼成した。得られた固形物を破砕して、 0. 7〜; 1. 4mmに分級することによ り、触媒 Aを得た。

2 工業株式会社製、純度 86. 8質量%)を蒸留水に溶解し、更に、 10. 15gの 40質量 %水酸化テトラ— n プロピルアンモユウム水溶液を蒸留水に添加した。そして、この 溶液に蒸留水を加えて、全量が 30mlの含浸液を調製した。次に、シリカ成形体とし てシリカビーズ(富士シリシァ化学社製「キャリアタト Q— 50」、 10〜20メッシュ、平均 細孔径 50nm)を使用し、 120°Cで 1日間乾燥した 30gのシリカビーズを含浸液に 1時 間含浸させた。その後、このシリカビーズを 100°Cの湯浴上に設置した蒸発皿上で乾 燥させた後、更に 80°C、窒素気流下で 5時間乾燥することにより、結晶化に必要な N a、 A1結晶化剤をシリカビーズに担持させ、結晶性メタノシリケート前駆体を得た。得 られた前駆体を容積 100mlのテトラフルォロエチレン製のジャケット付坩堝の中空部 に配置させ、坩堝の底部には 1. 00gの蒸留水を入れた。この坩堝を 180°Cの電気 炉に 8時間静置し、前駆体を結晶化させた。結晶化により得られた固形物を、 60°Cの lmol/L硝酸アンモニゥム水溶液 300gに浸潰して 1時間撹拌した後、上澄み液を 廃棄した。この操作を複数回繰り返した。その後、固形物を水洗した。この固形物を、 空気気流中において 540°Cで 3. 5時間焼成した。この焼成により、 HZSM5である 触媒 Bを得た。

触媒 15mlを充填したステンレス製反応管(内径 10mm、長さ 500mm)を固定床反 応器として準備した。この反応器を 360°Cの塩浴に浸漬し、その後、グリセリンが所定 濃度の原料ガスを流通させた。反応器内に原料ガスを所定時間流通後から 30分間 に反応器から流出したガスを冷却液化捕集した(以下、「捕集した流出ガスの冷却液 化物」を「流出物」と称する)。 GCによる定性分析の結果、グリセリン、ァクロレイン、お よび 1ーヒドロキシアセトンが検出された。

表 1の実験例;!〜 3、 4〜6、または 7〜9を比較すると、同伴される水蒸気の分圧に 関係な 特にグリセリンガスの分圧が 4〜9kPaのときにァクロレインの収率が高かつ たこと力 S判る。また、炭素質物質の蓄積量も、水蒸気の分圧に関係なぐグリセリンガ スの分圧が低くした方が少なかったことが表 1に示されている。さらに、実験例 8およ び 9と、実験例 10および 11とを比較すると、グリセリンガスの GHSVが 2倍になってい るにも関わらず、ァクロレインの収率には大きな差は見られない。一方、グリセリンガス 分圧が 30kPaを超えて 33kPaである実験例 19は、ァクロレイン製造の初期において はァクロレインの収率が 70mol%と高いが、経時的な収率低下が著しぐ触媒上に蓄 積した炭素質物質の量も 23質量%と多くなつていた事がわかる。

18は、反応器入口の水蒸気の分圧が OkPaであるが、比較対象である前記表 1の結 果と同等以上である。つまり、炭素質物質の蓄積量もグリセリンガスの分圧と相関して おり、グリセリンの分圧がァクロレインの収率や炭素質物質の蓄積の主要因であること が表 1および 2に示されている。

ACR :ァクロレイン 表 5を確認すると次の通りである。反応温度を 300°Cとした実験例 42では、触媒の 急激な活性低下があった。反応温度を 480°Cとした実験例 43では、ァクロレインを十 分に得ることができな力つた。また、反応温度が高められている実験例 44では、触媒 1Lあたりのグリセリンガスの供給量が少ないためにァクロレインの収率が低くなつてい た。一方、触媒 1Lあたりのグリセリンガスの供給量を 300〜15000g/hr、かつ、反 応温度を 350〜460°Cとした場合には、ァクロレインの収率が良好であった。

2 工業株式会社製、純度 86. 8質量%)を蒸留水に溶解し、更に、 10. 15gの 40質量 %水酸化テトラ— n—プロピルアンモユウム水溶液を蒸留水に添加した。そして、この 溶液に蒸留水を加えて、全量が 30mlの含浸液を調製した。次に、シリカ成形体とし てシリカビーズ(富士シリシァ化学社製「キャリアタト Q— 50」、 10〜20メッシュ、平均 細孔径 50nm)を使用し、 120°Cで 1日間乾燥した 30gのシリカビーズを含浸液に 1時 間含浸させた。その後、このシリカビーズを 100°Cの湯浴上に設置した蒸発皿上で乾 燥させた後、更に 80°C、窒素気流下で 7時間乾燥することにより、結晶化に必要な N a、 A1結晶化剤をシリカビーズに担持させ、結晶性メタノシリケート前駆体を得た。得 られた前駆体を容積 100mlのテトラフルォロエチレン製のジャケット付坩堝の中空部 に配置させ、坩堝の底部には 1. 00gの蒸留水を入れた。この坩堝を 180°Cの電気 炉に 8時間静置し、前駆体を結晶化させた。結晶化により得られた固形物を、 60°Cの lmol/L硝酸アンモニゥム水溶液 300gに浸潰して 1時間撹拌した後、上澄み液を 廃棄した。この操作を複数回繰り返した。その後、固形物を水洗した。この固形物を、 空気気流中において 540°Cで 3. 5時間焼成した。この焼成により、 H型 MFIである 触媒 Fを得た。

触媒 F15mlをステンレス製反応管(内径 10mm、長さ 500mm)に充填し、固定床 反応器を準備した。反応器の入口側には、外径 3mmのガラス玉を充填した蒸発器を 設け、蒸発器の温度制御は、蒸発器内に挿入した熱電対で温度をモニターしながら 行った。反応圧の制御は、真空ポンプと減圧一定装置を使用し、反応器入口に設け た圧力計でモニターしながら行った。また、反応器の出口には冷却器を設けた。 [0138] 反応器を 360°Cの溶融塩浴に浸漬した。蒸発器の温度を 200°Cに設定し、反応器 内圧力を 62kPaにして 30分間放置した後、送液ポンプにより 80質量%グリセリン水 溶液を蒸発器に供給した。なお、 80質量%グリセリン水溶液を蒸発させる際の蒸発 器の温度は 192°Cと推定される。

[2] 前記グリセリンガスの空間速度力 YO ZAOOhr—1である請求項 1に記載のァクロレ インの製造方法。
[3] 前記触媒 1Lあたりの前記グリセリンガスの供給量が 300〜15000g/hrである請 求項 1または 2に記載のァクロレインの製造方法。
[4] ァクロレインを製造するための反応温度が 350〜460°Cである請求項 1〜3のいず れカ、 1項に記載のァクロレインの製造方法。
[5] ァクロレインを製造するための反応温度力 300°Cを超え 450°C以下である請求項

[7] 前記反応器の入口における圧力力 lkPa以上 90kPa以下である請求項 1〜5の いずれか 1項に記載のァクロレインの製造方法。
[8] 前記原料ガスが非凝縮性ガスを含有し、前記反応器入口における原料ガス中の非 凝縮性ガスの濃度が 10モル%以下である請求項 7に記載のァクロレインの製造方法
[9] 前記原料ガスがグリセリンガス以外の凝縮性ガスを含有し、前記反応器入口におけ るグリセリンガス以外の凝縮性ガスの濃度が 60モル%以下である請求項 7に記載の ァクロレインの製造方法。
[10] 前記原料ガスが凝縮性ガスとして水蒸気を含有し、かつ、該水蒸気の分圧が前記 グリセリンガスの分圧の 5倍以下である請求項 1〜9のいずれ力、 1項に記載のァクロレ インの製造方法。
[I I] グリセリン蒸発器の温度を 285°C以下にして前記グリセリンガスを発生させる請求項 1~10( V、ずれ力、 1項に記載のァクロレインの製造方法。
[12] 前記原料ガスが脂肪酸および/または脂肪酸エステルを含有し、前記脂肪酸およ び脂肪酸エステルの総質量が前記グリセリンガスに対して 0. 00;!〜 5質量%である 請求項;!〜 11の!、ずれか 1項に記載のァクロレインの製造方法。
[13] 前記脂肪酸が、炭素数 4〜22の飽和脂肪酸および/または不飽和脂肪酸である 請求項 12に記載のァクロレインの製造方法。
[14] 前記脂肪酸エステルが、炭素数 4〜22の飽和脂肪酸および/または不飽和脂肪 酸と炭素数 1〜4のアルコールとのエステルである請求項 12または 13に記載のァクロ レインの製造方法。
[15] 前記グリセリンが、油脂の加水分解反応またはエステル交換反応により生成したも のである請求項 1〜; 14のいずれ力、 1項に記載のァクロレインの製造方法。
[16] 請求項 1〜; 15のいずれ力、 1項に記載のァクロレインの製造方法によりァクロレインを 製造するァクロレイン製造工程 (1)と、当該工程 (1)において活性が低下した前記固体 酸触媒に酸化性ガスを含む再生用ガスを接触させることにより、前記固体酸触媒を 再生する再生工程 (2)とを交互に繰返し行うァクロレインの製造方法であって、 再生工程 (2)における最高温度 Tm(2)が、 300°C≤Tm(2)であるァクロレインの製造 方法。
[17] ァクロレイン製造工程 (1)から再生工程 (2)へ切り替える際のァクロレイン製造工程 (1) における終了時点の温度と再生工程 (2)における開始時点の温度との差の絶対値 D T(12)が、 DT(12)≤ 100°Cである請求項 16に記載のァクロレインの製造方法。
[18] 再生工程 (2)からァクロレイン製造工程 (1)へ切り替える際の再生工程 (2)における終 了時点の温度とァクロレイン製造工程 (1)における開始時点の温度と差の絶対値 DT( 21)が、 DT(21)≤100°Cである請求項 16または 17に記載のァクロレインの製造方法
[19] 固体触媒を使用したァクロレインの製造方法に使用されるグリセリン含有組成物で あって、脂肪酸および/または脂肪酸エステルを更に含有し、前記脂肪酸および脂 肪酸エステルの総質量がグリセリンに対して 0. 00;!〜 5質量%であるグリセリン含有 組成物。
