Abstract

La présente invention concerne un chapeau de palier sécable (1) pour le maintien d'un vilebrequin sur un carter cylindres tel en ce qu'il possède un bossage (2) sur ses flancs permettant de mettre en retrait la surface fracturée (4) par rapport à la partie saillante du bossage. Un procédé d'adaptation du chapeau de palier (1) selon la présente invention permet d'usiner les flancs du chapeau de palier après cassage et sans modification de la surface fracturée (4).
