Abstract

異種生物由来の遺伝子を組み込んだ形質転換体を用いた現状の微生物変換においてみられる変換効率の低さを改善する手段の提供を目的とする。多剤排出蛋白質をコードする遺伝子を欠損した微生物を宿主として用い、これに異種生物由来の遺伝子を組み込んだ形質転換体を作製し、これを微生物変換に使用することにより、疎水性または両親媒性の基質化合物を非常に効率よくその目的化合物に変換することができる。大腸菌を宿主とする場合、欠損させる多剤排出蛋白質をコードする遺伝子としては、tolC、acrA、acrB等が挙げられる。
